Thapar University MA Admission 2024
Under the stream of Arts, Thapar University offers an MA programme across two specialisations and four sub-specialisations with an intake of 20. The duration of this course is two years spread over two semesters per year.
Total fee: INR 1.51 lakh (calculated from the semester-wise fee available on the official website for 2017-18 batch)
Selection:
- Marks obtained in Class 12 and graduation
- Graduation must be done from a recognised university
- Candidate must attach mark sheets of Class 12 and all the marks sheets of graduation upto end of second year along with the printout of applications
- Candidates with a pending backlog in the first two years of UG degree are not considered for admission. Percentage secured at the end of the second year of graduation is only considered even if the candidate has completed the graduation. 5% additional scores are added for the students who have an honors degree in Psychology/Economics.

TIET application process is conducted via online mode. Students seeking admission must register via the official website of TIET to apply for MA. A step-by-step process of TIET application is mentioned below"
Step 1: Visit the official website of TIET, www.thapar.edu.
Step 2: Click on “Admission 2024” and register yourself.
Step 3: Fill out the application form by entering the required academic and personal details.
Step 4: Upload a scanned photo of the qualifying exam mark sheet and a passport-size photograph.
Step 5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit card or net banking.
Documents required at the time of admission:
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheet
- UG mark sheet (if applicable)
- PG mark sheet (if applicable)
- Date of birth certificate
- Passport-size photograph
- Transfer certificate
- Character certificate
