TIET offers a BTech CSE programme with a total seat intake of 180 students. The total tuition fee for TIET BTech CSE course is INR 14.58Lacs (As per an unofficial source). In 2023, the course cutoff stood at 22555, making it the most competitive specialisation this year.

TIET BE/ BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam, except for BTech in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering. Thapar University 50% of seats for BE admission will be filled on the basis of JEE Main score and the rest 50% of the seats shall be filled on the basis of marks secured in Class 10, 12 and graduation.
