Students can opt for research courses at institutes like IIT. We can get internship opportunities in world-class labs pan India and in any privileged institute.

Placements: All the students from our course got placed. Top companies like Amazon, Apple, DE Shaw, Arcesium, Media.net, Paytm, Rapid, Oyo, Gameskraft, Synopsys, VMware, Cisco, Oracle, and MakeMyTrip visit the college to hire students. More than 200 companies visited the college by the 7th semester this year.

Placements: Placements in our college are great. Our seniors are placed in many top companies. All the top companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon come to campus for placements. The highest salary package offered this year was around 44 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 9 LPA to 10 LPA.

Placements: In our branch placements are average due to many reasons. Approximately, there are 250-300 students of CSE and 780-850 students of COE on the campus as a result of which the placements in all other branches are average but there are many extra-ordinary students who have mad their way out and had grabbed a good salary package of 23 LPA - 35 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our branch are all major tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Dell, Apple, etc.

Placements: There is a 100% placement record in the CSE department in Thapar. The highest salary package offered is 60 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 10 LPA in the CSE course. Many top tech giants like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon visit the campus to hire students. Only 10% of students get an internship in the CSE course in companies like DE Shaw, JP Morgan, Arcesium, etc. Mostly, SDE or ML engineer roles are offered to students.

Placements: Our course is new, and it was introduced in the previous year only, so there is no placement record as we are the first batch who will get placed in 2024. In my opinion, its placement rate will be the same as the branch electronics and computers is an old branch and have a great placement and internship rate.

Placements: My branch is computer engineering (COE) which contains around 30 subgroups, comprising around 800 students. This branch is one the oldest branches in Thapar University and is known for its best placements. During the placements in 2020, around 246 companies visited and recruited around 80% of students. The top companies that visited were Amazon, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Deloitte and many more.
