Good Faculty, Great Placements, Best infrastructure, Excellent Hostel Facilities, Over the top Fee.

Placements: The placement in B.E. CSE is above average as around every student gets placed in a company by the end of their last year in college and is probably the only reason students prefer this college when compared to other private institutes of the same rank or status in spite of Thapar being a little more expensive as the fee is relatively higher. Almost around 200 companies come for placement with the highest package going to 30 LPA and the lowest in CSE being 7 LPA approximately. As far as internsh...

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placement rate is very good, but there are very few companies coming for internships. Some students get internships with 50,000 to 1.5 Lacs per month. Students get eligible for internships in the 3rd year (5th semester) and placements from 4th year 7th semester. Many companies visited here, like JP Morgan, Chase & Co., which offered around 14 LPA, and took around 70 students. The highest package offered was around 50 LPA by Microsoft, and the average package is around 8 LPA. Almost 90-95% of...

Placements are mind-blowing. Overall Thapar is a very great college.

Placements: Placements are mind-blowing. The highest salary package offered ranges from 42 LPA - 44 LPA and even much more than that in off-campus placements. So that's the only thing most of the students get attracted to Thapar. Top recruiting companies of CSE are De shaw, Optum, Microsoft, etc.

There are good campus life and decent placements in 2021.

Placements: Placements in 2021 were great, but due to Covid, very few companies visited here from usual. However, they were more than we expected. All of us were not able to get placements, but a decent number of students got placed or around 60% of students. Placements are good only in CS/IT and marketing. Else it is very difficult to get other placements.

The campus crowd is good. Opportunities are great for CS students but low for core branches.

Placements: Placements for the CS and related branches are very good. For core branches like civil, mechanical, and electrical, placements are very bad. Very few core companies visit the college for placements, and that too they recruit students in very low numbers. Main companies are mass recruiting IT firms.

Quite expensive, really good infrastructure and hostels for 3rd and 4th year students.

Placements: The package in computer Science branch is quite more as compared to other core branches. All the major companies visit the campus. Around 70-80% students get placed here and some go for masters and some start their own startups. Average package in computer Science branch is 13-14 lacs per annum and in other core branch it 6-9 lacs.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: 100-150 students got placed in computer science. Placements are pretty good. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year. I would say that the quality of education and placements (thinking of 2020 because intake increased in 2016) is not as it was before. It has been on the downside. For extracurricular activities, Thapar University is still one of the best.

It is a tier 2 institute. If you do not get IIT or NITs, then Thapar is not a bad choice.

Placements: About 85-90% of the students from our course get placement. Placements are above average here. The average salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered ranges from 4-4.5 LPA. The maximum salary package offered is 27 LPA. Companies that offered jobs are not very famous, but they are spread on a large scale like Ashok Leyland, Cosmo, etc. Some students also choose military recruitments.
