B.Voc. in Tourism and Hospitality Management - Batch of 2026
    Offered by M.E.S Asmabi College
    4.4

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2024.
Placements: In my college, placements are provided to the students, and my course provides internships and placements. The placement percentage is 80-98%. The highest package is 5-7 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 2-3.5 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 4.5-5.5 Lacs per annum. The percentage of students getting internships is 60-80%. They got placements in various companies. After the internship, they get experience certificates.
Infrastructure: In my department, the facilities are the best: the classrooms, hospitality lab, and Wi-Fi. I don't know about the hostel. The girls' hostels inside the college have fees of 10,000 per year; they provide accommodation and food. I think the food is average. I don't know much about the girls' hostel, but the boys' hostel is only for sports admission students. They provide stay and good food.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, with faculty adopting creative learning methods to help students. The faculty members are committed to goal-oriented, efficient teaching with effective methodology, and the teachers are supportive and helpful to their students. The semester exams are sometimes difficult, and internal exams are conducted before the main exams to assess students' preparation. The exam pattern includes 6 semesters over 3 years, with each semester having an internal exam and a final exam. The curriculum is relevant. For example, the B.Voc in tourism and management hospitality course provides hands-on training and exposure to the industry through internships and placements.
Other: This course is valuable for me, as it is a job-oriented course for tourism and hospitality passionate students. The pass-out students got placements in various companies like hotels, travel agencies, and tour companies. This course is not affordable, as the semester fees are increasing for new admission students. Scholarships are available, including the Fisheries Man Scholarship, E-Grants, Mohammed Kutty Scholarship, etc.

College is very good in it's curriculum infrastructure, faculty members, arts, sports etc.
Placements: College having place cell which is offering many placement drive. Through workshops, seminar and Certificate programme, they equip students with professional skill and competencies demended by employers. Internship programs are integral part of curriculum, allowing students to gain real-world Experience and apply classroom knowledge in professional setting.
Infrastructure: College is having a very hygienic and good canteen which providing foods for the students in very low rate, The college hostel is very secure and comfortable living designed to feel like a home away from home. Each room is equipped with amenities, comfortable B.Ed study table etc.
Faculty: College is having highly qualified lectures, Teachers are very helpful in the career side. Our faculty comprises renowned scholars and industry professionals, they are actively engage with the students through interactive lectures. Our curriculum offers a diverse Array of courses spanning various discipline, providing students with a comprehensive educational Experience .
Other: This course is very much job oriented. Practical class is more than theory classes. The college has conducting many college events, inter collegiate events and more.

B.Voc. in Food Processing Technology - Batch of 2024

Review of B.Voc food processing technology at Christ college Irinjalakuda!
Placements: My course has a 3-month internship and a 3-month project opportunity in the 6th semester. So I was able to gain experience in the food industry in Kochi. The college has a good placement cell and the placement percentage this year is higher than the previous year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the whole college is awesome. We have all the facilities, like a good garden, grounds, auditorium, clean bathrooms, library and every department has modest lab facilities. Our college gives major importance to sports. They also encourage the arts and other extracurricular activities.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and helpful but in our course, they are not well qualified. As B.Voc is a self-finance course, the teachers only have a qualification of M.Sc. Even though the lab and other facilities are good,. There is a processing and chemical lab. The semester exams and syllabus are simple compared to other courses.
Other: I chose this course because it was a vocational degree. Our course has more practical and internship opportunities than other courses. I wish our department had more faculty members. Even though there are industrial visits every semester, only very few happen due to the lack of faculty members.

B.Voc. in Software Development - Batch of 2023

    I am absolutely dissatisfied.
Placements: There is placement assistance, not assurance. If you are skilled, have a will, and have hard work, you will get placement. Colleges will only share offers available at their respective companies. In this course, everyone has to do their internship as part of their academic 15% of students in my batch get placed in some normal companies. By studying this course, you can have roles like web developer, web designer, front-end developer, back-end developer, full-stack developer, UI/UX designer, Android developer, net developer, software Java developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Of course, classrooms were okay, but not so modern. For this type of course, a smart class is good, and the labs are also okay, but there is no Wi-Fi for students for their academic needs. For Wi-Fi, we have to pay per hour. Hostel service is very bad. The hostel was nice and clean, but the food, water, and other facilities were very bad, and sometimes the host's hospitality was very bad for the hostelers. The canteen was very bad—only a few items and not good food. Medical facilities are okay but not good. This college is good for sports and games, and students who participate in sports get the maximum facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but do not know how to speak. Teeching quality is very low. They do not have enough time to teach students; they have so many college assignments to finish, and most students have a self-learning process here. The course curriculum was okay; it provided three certificates as per the three-year diploma, advanced diploma, and degree. Semester exams were conducted by universities, and there was a great delay if the 1st semester exam was conducted on the 4th semester. But there is an 80% pass percentage. But the academically difficult part of this course was projects and lab records.
Other: This course has wide opportunities, and it is a job-oriented course with 3 certificates and vast opportunities. An internship in this course is the best one for students. When the exams are on time and the teaching and lab record submission is on time, it will make students stress-free. According to St. Mary's College, the students don't get a better campus life, and the fest was conducted with full restrictions; there is no support for scholarships at the college.

Average satisfaction, though faculty is good.
Placements: Placement is not offered in this course. The salary packages are also not good. Internships are also offered in this course. This course offers jobs like quality control, quality assurance, etc. The number of students is lower. An internship is very helpful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our classroom is good. WiFi facilities and the library are also good. But our college offers very few medical facilities. The lab facilities are good, but there are some problems. The hostel's facilities are also excellent. The canteen provides good food.
Faculty: A few teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them prefer digital modes of teaching. Semester exams are delayed. Teachers are good at teaching. Their classes are effective. But the problem is that they are not permanent. Exams are delayed because studying is difficult.
Other: This course offers several opportunities. But the semester exams are delayed here.

B.Voc. in Jewellery Designing - Batch of 2025
    Offered by St. Aloysius College

The faculty and the department really helped us to complete the course. The teachers are friendly.
Placements: In my class, there are 4 students, and for gemology, there are around 40 students in my batch. Jewelers and jewelry manufacturing units recruit students from our department. We are appointed as hand sketchers, CAD designers, and diamond graders. The course fee is 9,900 per semester. All the passed-out students are now working in comfortable jobs according to their liking.
Infrastructure: We have a gemology lab with all the stones and needed equipment and instruments. There is a jewelry lab with computers for CAD. There is a library with all kinds of books necessary. Hostel food is average. The hostel provides us with bunk beds, a rack for storage, and chairs. There is a study hall, which is also used as a dining area.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and supportive. They help us through our exams to study well and attend the exams well. Semester exams are not that hard compared to those of other departments. Teachers are well-planned about what they are going to teach us next. They are really friendly.
Other: They teach some unnecessary subjects, like psychology and zoology, which are not that relevant to our course. They provide scholarship programs for students. I chose this course because I am interested in jewelry designing.
