Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026

Nice college if you are looking for a peaceful campus.
Placements: Placements in Mar Dionysius College in the BCA department are like 60-80%, and the top recruiting companies are IT software companies and consulting firms, banks, and educational institutions, and the average salary is from 15k to 25k.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, and regarding hostel facilities, the college doesn't have its own hostels for all students. However, there is a sports hostel exclusively for the boys football team. Students typically opt for private hostels or paying guest accommodations near the college.
Faculty: Good and qualified faculties, personalized attention seminars, projects, lectures, tutorials, and practicals are included. The course duration is 3 yrs that is 6 semesters and core subjects are computer applications , software development, data structure and web designing.
Other: Excellent campus and events are conducted and a peaceful campus environment is there.

Absolutely satisfied in the fest, infrastructures and faculty members.
Placements: The college does not provide placement services for its graduates. Students are on their own to find jobs. Fortunately, the IT industry is booming, and companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google are always looking for qualified IT professionals. Graduates with a BCA degree should have no trouble finding employment as software developers, software testers, data scientists, and other IT positions.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi in every department, but unfortunately they only give the passwords to the teaching staffs. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and fans. Medical faculty members are available at the college. And to help reduce mental discomfort, the college has mental health counselors on staff.
Faculty: The course is very updated and easy to follow compared to the older syllabus. It includes the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The exams are a little bit difficult but not too tough. Last year, the pass percentage was 96%. Most of the faculty members are very friendly. Attendance is very much required.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a data scientist. I am passionate about computers and their functions. The teachers and seniors in the department are very friendly and supportive. Our college has events like Onam, Union fest, Freshersday, Selection, Christmas, Holi, College day, etc.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2024
Offered by Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Nattika
2.6

Review of Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Nattika.
Placements: We have about 40 students who opted for BCA. The course is actually 3 years, so you have to pay around 1 LPA for 3 years. You can work in many top companies if you have excellent skills after learning this course. You can work as a software developer, SaaS developer, etc. after this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is too slow. Classrooms and libraries are good, but the canteen is very small; it doesn't even fit 20 students. The quality of the food is also not that great. Sports and games are all good. The labs where you work on practicals are good; they have AC, and all the computers are the latest and fast.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well qualified and great. They are not only teachers but also supportive mentors who help you a lot. The semesters are not too difficult; every student can pass if they study. There were many students in my class who were a little behind in studies, but the teachers helped them get good marks, and they did pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I love working with computers and I enjoy coding. The best thing is that students can get jobs easily as the IT field, like BCA, is the best choice to secure a promising job. The campus should improve its way of teaching, like building smart boards in specific classrooms so that students can easily grasp what they are being taught. Events, fests, and other extracurricular activities are great on this campus, and every student will love them once they experience it.

One of the best colleges in Calicut .
Placements: Our college does not provide any kind of placement opportunities. They do not have an independent placement cell. Students are required to reach the companies by their own. Internships should be done outside the college and it is mandatory. Our course provides job opportunities in the field of computer. The main roles includes software development, software engineering, etc. Some of the companies which recruited my colleagues are Zigma Development ltd, Zodial Education ltd, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good classrooms. Good ventilation and projector facilities are there. The college has Wi-Fi facilities in the computer lab. The library is small but it contains many relevant books for our discipline. The college doesn't provide any hostel facilities. The canteen is small and it can't accommodate more than 30 students at a time. The college doesn't provide any health care facilities on its own. A limited number of sports and games, like cricket, badminton and volleyball, are encouraged here.
Faculty: The teachers were all good, educated and enthusiastic. They had deep knowledge in the field of their teaching. They were so supportive in any manner. The course and curriculum are relevant to the industry. It has the capacity to make students ready for the industry. Exams are conducted each semester by the university directly. Results are published within a time span of 2 to 3 months. Most exams were moderately hard. The minimum pass percentage was 40%.
Other: I chose this course because of wide range of opportunities. I was interested in this college to explore the fantastic college experience. I suggest college improve the facilities, such as canteen, sports field, library, etc. main issue students facing is connectivity. Most students are depending on their own private vehicles. Many events, both academic and cultural, are encouraged there. The scholarship scheme were available before, but the government has withdrawn minority scholarship scheme now. Various extracurricular activities, such as seminars, webinars, etc. are conducted in each trimesters.

A college which supports rural education.
Placements: The college does not have a placement cell. The college doesn't provide any kind of placement opportunity. Students are required to find the jobs themselves. Most of the students from our batch went for higher studies. The minimum salary is 10,000. The average salary is 15,000 per month. Some of the companies which recruited our students include IT Solutions Calicut, BIT industries Ltd., etc. The top roles offered include software development, computer engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facilities for boys or girls. The college provides an average classroom setup. It also provides a decent computer lab facility. The library is vast and it contains many books related to our syllabus and industry. No medical facilities are offered by the college. The mess and canteen are limited, with few facilities. It can hardly include 50 students at a time. Various games, such as cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, etc., are encouraged here.
Faculty: The teachers are good and their way of teaching is good. They are clearly following the rules of college in every aspect. The teaching is done in a convenient way and they are able to convey the messages clearly to the students. However, they are not taking classes fully in English. The curriculum is not very hard and it is job-oriented. Semester exams are much harder, and almost all students are getting pass marks.
Other: I chose this course because I was keenly interested in computer programming. I hardly suggest college management provide better lab facilities and placement opportunities. Various events, such as cultural and academic ones, are held here each year.

A college which support rural students to make their dream comes true.
Placements: The college has yet to establish a placement and training division, and the alumni network is not very active either. Students are responsible for finding job opportunities on their own. Many students from my batch pursued internships after completing the course and entering the industry. The college does not provide internship opportunities. Some of the top roles for our course include full-stack developer, computer engineer, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The college currently lacks a hostel facility, but it prioritizes local students, particularly rural girls from minority communities. Our classrooms are well-equipped, and the lab provides Wi-Fi access. While the college canteen is small and unable to cater to all students' needs, it maintains acceptable quality and cleanliness. Limited sports courts are available for football, cricket, and badminton. Although our library is small, it contains numerous relevant books for our field of study.
Faculty: The teachers at our school were highly competent and supportive. Many of them had extensive experience in the teaching field. The curriculum and syllabus were well-designed, with a strong emphasis on preparing students for the industry. Regular exams were held each semester, with a minimum passing percentage of 50%.
Other: I enrolled in this course with the aim of becoming a software developer. I recommend that my college expand the library and improve the facilities in the canteen. Enhancing the basic infrastructure will help attract students from outside. Throughout each semester, a range of events, including academic and cultural activities, were organized. Government scholarships were also available. However, I noticed a limited number of extracurricular activities, such as seminars and workshops, at this institution.
