In the field of Education, Calicut University offers two-year B.Ed programme to the students across 12 specialisations. The University of Calicut has 69 colleges offering B.Ed programme (two Govt colleges, two aided colleges, 11 University Teacher Education Centres and 54 self-financing colleges). It is a best college for B.Ed.

Placements: Around 75% of students are placed in our courses. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, the average wage package offered was 3 LPA. And the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. In Malampuzha, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a leading hiring firm. Teachers of English and Mathematics can find excellent positions at national schools. Approximately 75% of students secured internships.

Infrastructure: Hostel rooms provide all the amenities you need, including electricity, water, and powerful Wi-Fi. Main gate is guarded by security personnel. Three people can stay in hostel rooms, and in second year, a single-occupancy room is available. Food is prepared in a sanitary manner. Hostel is reasonably priced, with affordable rent, and registration process is simple.

Faculty: Among other B.Ed. Programs, university offers courses in Arabic, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, and English. Instructor is very knowledgeable, competent, and supportive. Each instructor has a PhD. in subject they teach, and their teaching strategies are distinct. Medium-difficult exams are administered every two months. students can do well in class if they listen to the lectures. A classroom can occupy around 50 students and the course fee is Rs. 35,000..

College days at University of Calicut.

Placements: Almost 93 percent of students got placed in 2023 placements. As we underwent various practices for placements before college drives. Most of my classmates got placed with good salary packages. Only a few of them were doing their higher studies in our college.

Infrastructure: According to norms, only limited seats are provided for the students. So interested students must apply to the respective courses within the time period. We were in the control of our class incharges at all times. So we can't roam inside the college during class hours.

Faculty: Basically highly graduated teachers with a lot of patience and understanding. Mostly they deliver their class in the form of practical discussions. Undoubtedly, we have gone through a lot of practical workshops. They understand the circumstances of us and help us in critical situations.

Nice experience with decent.

Placements: The top salary package offered is approximately 6 lacs per annum, while the lowest package was around 1 lacs per annum. The average package for this sector is 3.5 lacs per annum. Placements are commonly available in educational NGOs, schools, colleges, and universities.

Infrastructure: Practical training is provided in several laboratories, while our library houses a wide range of educational resources. Our hostel offers accommodation, mess facilities, medical services, and even laundry facilities. The quality of food is a matter of personal preference.

Faculty: The majority of our teachers possess extensive experience in the field of education. The curriculum equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become effective teachers. The level of difficulty in passing varies.

Faculty members are quite good.

Placements: Above 85% percent of students got placed at my college every year. The highest salary is 4 lacs per annum and the lowest salary is 1.5 lacs per annum. The top recruiting schools are Sri Chaitanya schools and Vivekananda schools; the top roles are Science teachers and English teachers.

Infrastructure: The college facilities are good and decent the infrastructure is good. The classrooms, library, and labs are clean and good. The wifi facility is good in college. The canteen food is good. The medical facilities are good sports and games are conducted very well.

Faculty: All faculty members are well trained and well-educated. There is a lot of experience. They have good knowledge and their teaching quality is so good that we can understand everything so well. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 75%.

The University has good infrastructure.

Placements: 70% students were placed in my course. The highest package offered is 5 LPA, average package is 3 LPA with the lowest package of 2 LPA. Everyone can get internships in my course. Top recruiting companies are basically top schools and top roles include that of a teacher. Many students get their dream jobs.

Infrastructure: The University has well-equipped classrooms, labs and a library along with wi-fi facilities, auditorium, hostel, canteen, sports and games and medical facilities. Hostel is safe and secured for the students. Canteen food is healthy and not harmful for the students.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry ready. Semesters exams in our college are not too tough, but cheating is noy allowed here. 70% students pass.

Other: I want to be a teacher that's why I chose B.Ed.

I studied in this college for the year 2019 to 2022.

Placements: Good college but most of the students do not get placement. The highest package is 5 to 7 lacs per year. The lowest package is 1 to 5 Lacs per year. This college is rarely providing internships for students. Those who want to study in a private college can come and study.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and not bad; it's average. They are providing both a project room and an NS room. Good classrooms, but not modern classrooms; no projects in classrooms; small rooms also available; a canteen is there. They can provide more infrastructure facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are good; the head of department is very strict, as are the tutors. Whoever wants to study can come and continue their studying. The faculty members are doing their job perfectly. The exam is under the university and they are choosing the dates for exams. Most of the students are passing.
