In the field of Education, Calicut University offers two-year B.Ed programme to the students across 12 specialisations. The University of Calicut has 69 colleges offering B.Ed programme (two Govt colleges, two aided colleges, 11 University Teacher Education Centres and 54 self-financing colleges). The college gives full freedom to utilize its facilities.

Placements: The college does not provide you with any internship. You need to find an internship on your own. It totally depends on your social network and how your social network is to get an internship. So, if you are capable of finding an internship for yourself, then only you will get it.

Infrastructure: There are different clubs and innovation stages where students are engaged in different clubs, and we have the Ignite Cell, where students are engaged to start their startups and excel in their own from the basic level. The nightlife for boys is 24/7, and for girls, the timings for them are from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. The gym, cafeterias, and library are present in the evening and morning hours on every working day, and to hang out, we go to the auditorium.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student relationship is very good in this college. They are all very much friendly with us. There are 2 mid-seems, out of which the best one is chosen. Then, there is the end-sem. The question paper is of medium difficulty level. Very few students fail to clear the exams.

Peaceful environment and the ambiance of the college.

Placements: The internship takes place in the fourth year starting. They also offer a stipend which is about forty thousand Indian rupees to ten thousand rupees per month. Internship offers are available to those who qualify for certain requirements like credit.

Infrastructure: A fresher is conducted after the 1st mid exam. There are a lot of books available in the college library. Also, there are two libraries on the campus. You can also borrow books from the libraries. There are a few sports teams for the college, and there will be a lot of sports competitions. Student-run clubs are also available in the university which organizes a lot of events.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good. An adequate number of professors are available. The faculty interacts with students and clarifies doubts if any. The Maths and Chemistry faculty are good. You will have to attend 2 mid-exams and 1-semester exam per semester, and they are of moderate difficulty.

I studied in this college for the year 2019 to 2022.

Placements: Good college but most of the students do not get placement. The highest package is 5 to 7 lacs per year. The lowest package is 1 to 5 Lacs per year. This college is rarely providing internships for students. Those who want to study in a private college can come and study.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and not bad; it's average. They are providing both a project room and an NS room. Good classrooms, but not modern classrooms; no projects in classrooms; small rooms also available; a canteen is there. They can provide more infrastructure facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are good; the head of department is very strict, as are the tutors. Whoever wants to study can come and continue their studying. The faculty members are doing their job perfectly. The exam is under the university and they are choosing the dates for exams. Most of the students are passing.

Faculty members and curriculum are very good.

Placements: I took admission for the 2023-25 session in this college. About 80% of the students got placements in various schools and teaching institutes. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Approximately 70% of the students got internships in this course. Curriculum of this course offers internships and helps with placements.

Infrastructure: All classrooms are well-equipped and spacious. Various labs are available for practical training, including science labs. There is a library with a vast collection of books, journals, and other materials. The campus is fully Wi-Fi equipped. Hostel facilities are available with mess service. Medical service is available 24/7. Some sports facilities are available. Total campus environment is very good.

Faculty: All faculty members have higher degrees. They have expertise and knowledge in their fields. They are very supportive towards us. Teaching quality is very good, with practical teaching methods, it helps us prepare for the future. Course curriculum is relevant. All practical training is aligned with real-life teaching scenarios. Semester examinations are manageable. Pass percentage is almost 100%.

Placements: Around 75% of students are placed in our courses. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, the average wage package offered was 3 LPA. And the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. In Malampuzha, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a leading hiring firm. Teachers of English and Mathematics can find excellent positions at national schools. Approximately 75% of students secured internships.

Infrastructure: Hostel rooms provide all the amenities you need, including electricity, water, and powerful Wi-Fi. Main gate is guarded by security personnel. Three people can stay in hostel rooms, and in second year, a single-occupancy room is available. Food is prepared in a sanitary manner. Hostel is reasonably priced, with affordable rent, and registration process is simple.

Faculty: Among other B.Ed. Programs, university offers courses in Arabic, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, and English. Instructor is very knowledgeable, competent, and supportive. Each instructor has a PhD. in subject they teach, and their teaching strategies are distinct.
