This is basically the best government college to study, having great infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 90 percent of students were placed in my course every year. The highest package was 48 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. It goes on an average of 5-6 LPA every year. Many companies like Cognizant and TCS are top recruiters of my course. 80% of students get internships in companies like TCS and Cognizant as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET), Network Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: Different labs are present in the college for each branch. There's always a high scope of getting jobs. Wi-Fi is available 24/7, and classrooms are clean. You can get all the books in the library. The hostel has very good facilities where they always clean the floor, and the food is very hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified to teach us and are highly knowledgeable. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite tough enough to make students well-prepared for their future, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best course to study here, as we can go into both software and branch lines. I wish that they increase the facility of providing knowledge about Computer Science a bit more to our branch.

Review of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology.
Placements: Approximately 70-80% of students get placed each year. The average package is around 9 lacs per annum. The highest package in 2024 was 48 lacs, which was cracked by an electronics and telecommunication engineering student. The top recruiters are NALCO, CISCO, TATA, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, etc.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi, a gym, a library, and a playground provided in each hostel. There is also a central library in the college to which every student can go after accessing the library card. In the hostel, the food quality is very good. In the girls hostel, they celebrate the grand hostel fest twice a month. All kinds of sports accessories are available in the hostel. In each room of the hostel, they provide 4 beds, 4 cupboards, 2 tables, 4 chairs, and 2 windows.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. There are multiple teachers available for each different subject from each branch. The exam curriculum is also relevant. You get 2 semesters in a year. And each semester consists of a midterm exam and an endterm exam. There is no certain pass percentage as they consider CGPA.
Other: I always had an interest in core branches. And as you know, VSSUT is one of the best colleges in Odisha for core branches. The college campus is very good. It is 550 acres. There is a market 2 km away from the campus where you can access everything. There is also a hospital.

Good for core enthusiasts.
Placements: The placements at my college are average. Despite what they say on their website and in person, the placements are mediocre at best. Last year, the best placements were in metallurgy and core branches, with an average package of 9-11 LPA. Non-core companies offered very low salaries, averaging 4-5.5 LPA. Students who found jobs on their own should give credit to the college for providing the resources to help them succeed.
Infrastructure: The labs have new equipment, but they are not using it; instead, they are using all the old equipment. A new building is under construction, and most academic activities will move there, so perhaps they will start using the new equipment then. As for the hostels, only one is new (Agastya Boys HOR); the others are old and have poor hygiene facilities. The food is mediocre, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work in some hostels. The classrooms are good and equipped with smart boards.
Faculty: The faculty in some branches are helpful and good, but in others the environment is toxic. Exams are conducted on time with a high level of strictness. However, the syllabus for non-core branches needs to be updated and reviewed, as it is outdated and doesn't help students get placed in good companies. Students have to take time out of academics to study the syllabus, rather than it being included in the course itself.

It is the oldest university.
Placements: In the mechanical branch, 112 candidates were placed with the highest package of 17 lakhs per annum, an average package of 7 LPA, and the lowest package of 3 LPA. 30 candidates were placed in L&T, 17 in JSW, and 12 in Maruti Suzuki, which are top recruiting companies for our course. Students got internships from L&T, JSW, Aditya Birla Group, Maruti Suzuki, Shyam Metallic, Reliance Jio BP, Tata Electronics, and LearnNex.
Infrastructure: Institute Wi-Fi is available including hostel Wi-Fi free. Labs are clean and the workshop lab is kept in a separate place and guided by teachers. Classrooms are very clean where 100 students can sit and both whiteboards and smart boards are available. Ceiling lights and windows are there and there is a central library which is a very big and calm place to study. All books are available so no need to buy books. In the hostel, foods are good and the secretary is kept for health and hygiene. Mess, events, event etc. Which provides clean, provide clean facilities. A garden is also available and there is a place to play badminton, etc. And a shop where all needs are available. A library, games, and study room with AC are available and all juniors don't stay in the same hostel with seniors so there is no fear of seniors. But in the boys’ hostel, 1st year and 2nd year students stay in different buildings on a boundary.
Faculty: In the mechanical engineering branch, teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, but in labs, they just teach, and experiments are done by students themselves. They teach in a language students are comfortable with. They give assignments for better practice. The semester exams are good, and practical exams are also conducted. To get placement, at least a 7 CGPA is required, and an 8 CGPA is maintained.
Other: I chose this course because the VSSUT mechanical branch has better placements than other branches, which is the best thing. I am very interested in the mechanical branch, where all machines and robotics are available to study. I want our teachers to help with lab experiments. Since it is a very old university, some development is required, but the campus is very beautiful. The auditorium and e-learning center are very beautiful. Scholarships, sports, fests, and different types of clubs like Pixels, Soul, Dance, Coding, Veer Racers, IIC, Robotics, and many more activities are available, which is very interesting.

VSSUT is really a great university.
Placements: Placements for core branches are best in VSSUT. Here, the mechanical branch gets the highest number of placements, with an average salary of 6 to 8 lakhs per annum. Out of 120 students, almost 110 students get placed every year in on-campus placements. And the highest package goes up to 17 to 18 lakhs.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very nice. The food quality is awesome. The menu is different for every day of the week. And in the girls' hostel, fests take place every month, which includes parties, dances, music, DJ nights, and many food items. Also, the hostels have Wi-Fi connections for everyone.
Faculty: The faculty members are also nice. All faculty members are well-experienced and are Ph.D. holders from reputed institutes like IIT, NIT, etc. Every year has two semester exams and two midterms, so in total, four exams. The midterms are of 30 marks, and end terms are of 50 marks.
Other: Many events and fests take place every year. Cultural fests, technical fests, etc.

Veer surendra sai university of technology.
Placements: The placement condition is moderate, with IT, CSE, MME, and ME branches having the highest number of placement opportunities. Prominent recruiting companies include Delloitte, Capegemini, LnT, ABG, Adani, Reliance, Tata, JSW, Maruti, Hyundai, and other similar companies. However, branches like civil and chemical have fewer of these opportunities.
Infrastructure: The quality of the hostel facilities is commendable, with a total of 8 boys' hostels and 5 girls' hostels accommodating students from various academic years. The hostel offers four meals a day, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Additionally, there are canteens and shops available on the premises, along with 24-hour Wi-Fi access.
Faculty: The faculty members at the university are highly skilled and knowledgeable. In addition to regular faculty, guest faculty members and Ph.D. students also contribute to the teaching process. The labs are well-equipped and have both faculty and lab assistants to assist students. The semester exams are challenging but manageable, allowing students to achieve a good CGPA. However, it is worth noting that the faculty members may not be as friendly and supportive as desired.
