VIT - A Place to Learn, A Place to Grow.

Placements: VIT reports that almost 100% of students secure placements through campus placements, with some even receiving pre-placement offers during their third-year internships. The electrical and electronics department at VIT holds a commendable ranking, and the highest package reached around 1.02 CPA for two students in the mechanical department from a company called Motoroq. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Flipkart, PayPal, and Goldman Sachs. Approximately 90% of students secure internship...

Vitc - Is it worth the hype?

Placements: I am currently in first so I don't know about placements but from what my seniors told me I can say that placements are pretty good. A lot of my seniors have grabbed packages of 15 LPA and above. Even though recession is going on for placements still the placements are very good.

Great place to learn, upskill and explore all sides of technology.

Placements: We are the first batch of B.Tech VLSI design and technology, but the Masters placements are really good, as Intel, AMD and many other companies do come to recruit. VLSI being the next big thing in India, it is of very much focus at VIT as many new labs are being made to give industry experience.

A good last option for students who don't want to take a drop year.

Placements: Almost everybody gets placed in <5 LPA jobs. Dream and Super Dream jobs are provided to those with no standing arrears and a good CGPA. This year's placement hasn't been as good as previous years. I will wait for the placement report before making any comments.

Placements are good but if you don't work hard it is tough for you to get placed.

Placements: 70-80% of students are getting placed, with the highest CTC of 54LPA from last year and the minimum is the same as mass recruiter companies package. Mostly all types of companies came to college and also companies who have their presence in South India.

The detailed review of VIT, Chennai.

Placements: The top companies also visited campus for the recruitment process. The crowd of students is less than on campus, which makes for a decent package. The highest package is for computer science students. I feel the Chennai campus is far better than Vellore.

There are better options than this, please reconsider.

Placements: Well, be assured that you will be placed once you complete the degree, but be sure not to have backlogs at the end. Also, adhere to the student discipline conduct; don't get into any trouble that can affect your placements, as these offenses are recorded by the college and companies generally care about the serious offenses. The package received will be based on your CGPA and overall skills; many of my seniors got placed above 10 LPA packages, and for some exceptionally good candidates, they wer...

Good faculty and placement opportunities, but not a great campus life.

Placements: The average package offered is around 6-7 LPA, with the highest package going up to 40 LPA. Mechatronics is a newly introduced branch in this college, and the first batch will pass out in 2024. The placement opportunities are promising since this is a new branch and in demand.

Superb crowd at the campus, intense race for placements, and average culturals.

Placements: Many giant companies hire from the college for both placements and internships. But the most important fact is that they only hire a few people. So you will need to work really hard to get through them. Above INR 5 LPA is considered a dream offer. Above INR 10 LPA is considered a super-dream offer.

Overall, it is a decent college to be in if you do not have many options and want to pursue CS.

Placements: Placements in our college are decent and are conducted with VIT Vellore; some people have gained a package of INR 50 LPA from Motorq; and there are students who have earned internships at Microsoft, Trexquant, etc. The highest package for 2022 was around INR 75 LPA. Placements are currently going on for the 2024 batch. The top role offered was SDE intern. Almost everyone gets an offer here.

Great college, unlimited opportunities, decent placement, but no college life.

Placements: We were getting exceptionally good placements until last year, but as the recession is going on, placements are being affected and reduced, but if we compare VIT with other colleges, VIT is a college that will bring plenty of opportunities for students. Internships are also really good at our college. All types of CS roles are offered, and around 90% of students get placed, which is a big achievement as VIT CSE is overcrowded. In the 2025 batch, we have 20k+ students, so things are going accordi...
