B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.4

Mass crowd but it was really worth joining VIT Vellore.
Placements: I joined VIT Vellore in the year 2022 in the Computer Science core branch. So currently, I'm in 3rd year right now, so no placements are going to happen. My senior batch (21 batch) placements are going on right now. As far as now, the highest package was grabbed by 2 CSE students with a package of 1 crore annually from MOTARQ company. The same company grabbed 2 students last year for 1.2 crore. From the CSE course, 50-70 percent of students did internships during the pre-final year in remote companies and industries. Roles like software developer, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: VIT offers labs, classrooms, Library, etc. Mainly for every course in VIT, there are multiple types of labs for every student that can be used like Cryptography lab, Microprocessor labs, and so on. But Wi-Fi cannot be provided in labs due to issues with malpractice by students. Coming to hostels in VIT, there are separate hostels for men and women. One side of VIT is covered with a men's hostel. There are paid mess and college mess, paid mess usually from catering, and normal mess. There are 3 GYMS inside the men's hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members in VIT are much experienced and helpful for the student and they play a major role in student's life during college days. They are much qualified and worked previously in IITs and NITs for years. Teaching quality is top-notch but the student has to show interest in the subject and teacher. The course curriculum is very relevant to the industry level and makes the students ready in their final years. The exams in VIT are a bit difficult and the question paper is of very high standard, so usually more than 10 faculty members decide and prepare the paper.
Other: I chose the Computer Science course because I'm so passionate about this since my childhood, like technology-related stuff and choosing this course in VIT is the biggest plus for my growth. The best thing about this CSE is like it is a highly demanded course and more profitable and can earn more. There are few subjects in my course like AWS that need lab sessions, not only theory because AWS is a universal demanding certification, so labs might be more usable. There is a main event called RIVIERA, usually conducted annually in the month of February. Many celebrities will participate in this event.

VIT - A land of opportunities, challenges, and fun.
Placements: 80-85% of students of the current batch got placed, with the highest package of 1 crore and the lowest package of 5 LPA, with an average of 10 LPA. The top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Amazon. The internship is a compulsory part of the curriculum, so everyone does internships. Majorly, people are hired as software engineers or sites, but some also have management roles.
Infrastructure: The college has great infrastructure, including 6 academic buildings and a lot of hostels, a well-maintained library, sports grounds, and also a decent Wi-Fi facility. The college provides many mess options, and it depends on the mess to mess as to what quality of food is provided. There is also a health center inside the campus, and there are multiple spots to eat and chill.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, and also the teaching quality is decent. They conduct exams at regular intervals for enhanced retention of the concept. There are guest lectures from industry experts to provide a better understanding. The semester exams can be passed as long as you study whatever is being taught in the class. There are hardly any students who fail.

With good placements, flexibility and infrastructure .
Placements: I could say compared last 2 years placements are kept on increasing in number top companies visit every year and also the main positive is that there are so many clubs that u learn from and more to explore for the new things, choice of selecting the faculty members of our own and many more facilities that a student should get and one negative is that too much crowded.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms hostles with the faculty members of AC and Non AC in option with num of beds. All are with top quality and Mess also there are a lot of options with Non veg, non veg and special mess ( with extra juices and all )that is optional we can choose.
Faculty: Teachers are with top class and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is first class and they are very friendly and helpful and ciricullam is quite acceptable when it comes to exams I would say there are cat1 and cat2 which is open book so that we try to learn the concept in depth rather by hearting the process and pass percentage is 50%.

VIT is a college you must definitely choose.
Placements: A decent number of students get placed. The highest package was more than 1 crore, and the average was 8-8.5 lacs per annum. If you have a decent CGPA, then you need not worry. You'll land a nice package somewhere. Otherwise, the mass recruitment programs are to the rescue.
Infrastructure: Unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are fully air-conditioned and equipped with the latest tools and software; whatever you might need will be there. Classrooms are huge and spacious with a decent number of students in the class. And the food is average, I would say.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, though you might face difficulties due to the southern accent of some teachers, but overall it's awesome. The course is very much relevant, and as for the exams, they are tough. Not too tough but still not everybody's cup of tea.

Wonderful college prepares you for world.
Placements: It's the future of jobs. The course offers a variety of subdivisions: AIML, Data Science, and information security. The highest package offered was 1cr. The top companies that come to recruit are Microsoft, Dell, Google, and Amazon. It's a full package and very innovative.
Infrastructure: Top-quality infrastructure with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The rooms are well-conditioned and ventilated. College indulges in sports competitions and promotes cultural events where students display their talents. There are many basketball courts.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful and guide you through the topics, they spend a good amount of their time to ensure that a student has fully understood the topic. The teachers are experts in their respective fields and very dedicated towards the betterment of students.

Review about the 2028 passing-out batch.
Placements: I am pursuing M.Sc. Integrated Chemistry and there is no placement records in our Science department. I am in SAS (school of advanced Science) school. But I heard one guy secured 18LPA in his fourth year,. But I am unsure about it. The top roles that you can get offer after completing this course is industrialists, lab technician, assistant in lab works.
Infrastructure: You won't get proper signal in your classroom. Library is one of the most preferred place to study in VIT. The labs are pretty good and professor are very kind. The rooms are good enough, we have a good support system for other activities like sports, arts. Medical facilities are here for 24/7. Food is not that bad here. You can manage to survive here.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality too pretty good. The course curriculum is kind of similar to our department. The passing percentage is 50%. Core subjects are somewhat difficult to handle but highly appreciated.
Other: The best thing about the course is the course curriculum. We learnt python, C and C+, Java. Riviera is the best cultural event, I ever seen in other colleges. Campus is always crowd no matter what. Extracurricular activities are very much encouraged here. There are merit cum means scholarship is provided to those of rankholder in the department.
