Anna University results 2024 for the revaluation of April / May 2024 (Phase II) examinations have been announced for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Students can visit the official website of Anna University at coe1.annauniv.edu/, to learn about the results. Moreover, the University Practical Examinations for UG / PG (I Semester) and UG (I and III Semester) for Slot I have ended and the University is amidst Slot II of the Practical Examination. Anna University is yet to declare the Examination Results that were held in November/ December 2024. The same will be reflected here, once out. The next cycle of semester exam will commence in April/ May 2025.

Anna University provides over 50 UG, PG, and doctorate courses across its 4 departments and over 100 degree and diploma courses via its 500+ affiliated colleges. The university also offers distance education programmes. The entrance exams accepted include TNEA, TANCET, GATE, JEE Main, NATA, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, etc.

Anna University Results 2024

Anna University conducts its UG, PG, and PhD level semester exams in April / May and November / December. The University releases notifications about the respective semester exams and practical exams a month before the commencement. The Examination Cycle begins with Practical Examinations, followed by the process of receiving hall tickets from the authority. Anna University releases dates for the University Departments and Affiliated Colleges/ Institutions along with the respective courses, separately.

Q:   Is Class 12 marks enough for Anna University admission?

A:

For Anna University undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). However, Class 12 marks is not enough to apply for Anna University UG courses such as BE/ BTech. For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Q:   Is JEE marks required for Anna University BTech admission?

A:

Yes, the university does accepts JEE Marks for admission to BTech courses. Admission into BTech courses at Anna University-affiliated colleges, several entrance examinations are accepted, including JEE Main, AEEE, IMU CET, and TNEA Counselling. Hence, candidates who have secured a decent scores in any one of these entrance examination are allowed to apply for BTech course at university, and students who qualify the cutoff list/ merit list can get a seat in the programme. 

Q:   What is the validity of TANCET scores?

A:

TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2023-24 exam session can only use the TANCET 2023 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2024-25 batch must appear for TANCET 2024.

Irrespective of the 2023 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2023 scores for 2024 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2025-26 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2025 exam.

Q:   Is there any entrance exam for BTech at Anna University?

A:

No, Anna University BTech admission 2023 is based on the TNEA counselling round. For Anna University BE admission also, candidates need to appear for the TNEA counselling. TNEA written exam has been scrapped and the counselling is based on Class 12 marks. Anna University allocates seats on the basis of the TNEA rank list.TNEA is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu to offer admissions to candidates in various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. The application window for TNEA counselling 2023 is expected to start in June 2023. For admission to BE part-time course, Anna University admits students on the basis of the merit of their last qualifying examination. 

Q:   Is TANCET compulsory for MCA course admission at Anna University?

A:

Yes, for Anna University MCA admission, it is mandatory to have a valid TANCET score. Candidates seeking admission to the MCA course of Anna University must register themselves online by visiting the official website of the University. Based on the marks secured in the TANCET entrance test, the University will then release a merit list of selected candidates to paper for the TANCET counselling process.

Procedure for Revaluation/Rechecking Results 2024

In case of any discrepancies or dissatisfaction with the exam results, students can apply for a recheck of the answer scripts. The authority will provide the student with a photocopy of the answer script and take the matter forward. Students must visit the official website, to apply for a recheck or revaluation and ask for assistance for the same. However, the University releases revaluation dates, during which, students can plea for the review of their answer scripts. Students must have the registration number or other required credentials such as examination roll number to apply for the same through the official website.
