MAKAUT Results are published online. This article will help you know how to check your results.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology, started its journey in the year 2001 with an aim to provide and disseminate technical education among all especially the marginalised people. Since its inception, the university is striving at producing skilled engineers and entrepreneurs who would contribute to the economic growth and development of the country.

With the affiliation of UGC and AICTE, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology is endeavouring to grow as a ‘centre of excellence’. It runs three schools of studies namely, Schools of Engineering and Technology (SET), Schools of Biotechnology and Biological Sciences (SBTBS), and Schools of Management and Sciences (SOS) etc.

However, a number of examinations are conducted for admissions in MAKAUT for undergraduate and postgraduate courses around the year. It has already adopted the semester system to conduct the examinations. An academic year is divided between two semesters. The examinations of the odd semesters are held in May/June, while that of the even semesters are held in December/ January. MAKAUT also conducts CET for admission to non-AICTE approved professional courses. MAKAUT Results are usually published within 2-3 months of the completion of the examinations. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology results for all courses are published online. The students can check their MAKAUT Results on the website of the university. The official website of the university is http://makautexam.net/ To know their results, the students must keep their Roll No. and Registration No. with them.

Here are a few guidelines to help the students to check their Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Results online.

  • At first, the students must visit the official website of the university.
  • MAKAUT page will be seen on the screen
  • They would require to click the ‘result tab’
  • Here, they would have to enter their ‘roll no’.
  • Next, they would have to select their ‘semesters’
  • After clicking on the ‘semester button’, the result will be visible on the screen
  • They can check their result now.

MAKAUT Results show the names, roll numbers, registration numbers, subject or paper wise numbers and grades obtained by the students. For example; if a student scores 90% and above marks, he will receive the grade ‘A+’. Similarly, for marks 80% and above, ‘A’ grade is awarded to the students. The result also mentions the class or division secured by the students. For example; if a student gets 60% and above marks in aggregate, he will get 1st division or class. Again, for marks 45% and above in aggregate, he will receive 2nd class or division. ‘P’ in the result denotes Pass and ‘F’ means Fail. The students will be eligible to sit for the next semester examination if they pass in all the papers or subjects in the present semester. After the publication of results, the university issues mark sheets to the students. They are advised not to consider the online result as their mark sheets.

Besides, if a student is not satisfied with his/her result in a particular paper or subject, or if he fails to secure minimum pass marks in a paper, he/she can apply for re-evaluation. All the rules for re-evaluation are printed on the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University Technology Results. For re-evaluation, they have to apply online within the stipulated date. The requisite fee for re-evaluation would have to be deposited online using the credit/debit card or through online banking mode. MAKAUT publishes the result of re-evaluation online too. The students can check the online results in the website of the university following the same procedure. If a candidate’s result shows ‘RW’ (result withheld), he/she must contact the concerned authority of the university.

The students can check their MAKAUT Results through SMS also. For this, they should follow certain steps-

  • They must choose the ‘message’ option on their mobile phone
  • Next, they should type MAKAUT< space>Roll Numbersemester
  • They would have to send the message to 56070
  • The result will come to the ‘message  inbox’

The university also publishes the result of CET online after the admission test is held. The students can check their CET Results on the official website of the university using the same procedure.

Thus, the publication of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Result is a very elaborate procedure. It requires meticulous details. The concerned persons of the university take utmost care to publish the result on time.
