Q: Â Does the order in which I select courses matter in the CUET application form?
Yes the order in which you pick your courses is important in CUET UG 2025 application form. The first course you select is considered your the highest priority, whereas the one you select last is seen as your least preferred option. Nonetheless, this doesn't imply you need to start with your least favored course.
It's important to arrange your courses according to your preference, placing the one you prefer most at the top of your list and the one you prefer least at the bottom. This ordering matters because in the CUET admissions process, your first choice is usually considered initially, and if that's full, the subsequent preferences are looked into.
Therefore, if you have a clear favorite for your first-choice course, ensure it's at the top of your list, even if it appears at the end in the choice filling section. If you're uncertain about your top choice, it might be wise to put a second option as your first preference to enhance your likelihood of getting into the university. In the end, your course selections should reflect your personal interests and career aspirations, and be listed in the order of your preference.

CUET Normalisation Process
Since CUET exam is conducted over multiple days, slots, and subjects, there is a need to implement the normalisation procedure. Some of the candidates might have ended up attempting a relatively tougher set of questions when compared to other sets. The candidates who attempted the comparatively tougher examination are likely to get lower marks as compared to those who attempted the easier one; the scores of the students across shifts are not directly comparable. There is a need for normalising the marks across shifts to make them amenable to such comparisons.
According to the CUET 2025 normalisation process stated by NTA, the raw score of each candidate in each subject will be normalised using the Equi- percentile method. This is done separately for each subject for which examination is held in multiple shifts. Normalisation process will not be implemented on subjects which will be held in single shift.
Q: Â How is CUET normalized score calculated?
The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) normalised scores are derived through a systematic process that ensures fairness across different testing sessions. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how these scores are calculated:
Raw Marks Collection: Initially, each candidate's raw marks are collected after they complete the exam. These marks represent the number of correct answers each candidate achieved.
Percentile Calculation: For each candidate, their percentile is calculated based on how their raw marks compare to those of other candidates who took the exam in the same session. This percentile indicates the relative standing of a candidate among their peers within that specific session.
Session Equating: The process involves multiple testing sessions that may occur over several days for the same subject. The percentiles calculated for each session are then equated to ensure consistency in scoring across all sessions.
Normalisation Process: After equating the percentiles, they are converted into normalised marks. This step helps to standardise scores across varying exam conditions and candidate populations.
Handling Smaller Sessions: In instances where a session has a limited number of candidates, those scores are aggregated with larger sessions. This clubbing ensures that every candidate's performance is compared against a more substantial and diverse group, leading to a more reliable and equitable normalised score.
Q: Â How many universities accept CUET score?

Q: Â Can CUET normalisation reduce marks?
CUET normalisation procss refers to a process of adjusting scores to account for variations in difficulty between different sessions of CUET exam. The aim is to ensure fairness and equity among students who may have taken different sessions of the same exam.
The normalization process shouldn't inherently reduce marks for students. Instead, it aims to adjust scores in a way that maintains the integrity and validity of the assessment. CUET Normalization might involve scaling scores, adjusting grade boundaries, or applying statistical techniques to ensure that the difficulty level of the assessment doesn't disadvantage any particular group of students.
Q: Â Will normalization process apply in CUET UG?
