UGAT exam date 2025 has been announced by AIMA. The AIMA UGAT registrations 2025 are underway. The UGAT exam will be conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on June 14, 2025, tentatively. It is a management exam conducted in PBT mode. Q:   How many times can I apply for UGAT?

A:

The AIMA Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is conducted once a year, usually in the month of May. The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses such as Integrated MBA, BBA, BCA and BHM and other courses by the All India Management Association (AIMA). As per the official notification of UGAT a candidate can only appear for the exam once in a year. There is no provision for multiple attempts in the same year. Therefore, if you want to appear for UGAT you can do so only once in a year. However, if you are not satisfied with your performance in the first attempt, you can apply for the exam in the following year.

Q:   Is UGAT syllabus difficult?

The difficulty level of the UGAT syllabus is usually easy to moderate. The syllabus of UGAT is comparatively easier as compared to the syllabus of other integrated MBA exams such as IPMAT. However, a good preparation can land the candidates with good UGAT scores. Students should have a clear understanding of the UGAT syllabus as well as the UGAT exam pattern. Q:   Is the UGAT eligibility criteria for all categories the same?

A:

Yes, the UGAT eligibility criteria is the same for all categories. The candidates should has passed their Class 12 from a recognised board. They must have secured at least 50% aggregate in Class 12. There is no age limit for the candidates to be eligible for UGAT exam. The students who belong to the Foreign Nationals category are not eligible to appear for the AIMA UGAT exam. The candidate must be an Indian national irrespective of the state they belong to.

UGAT 2025 Important Dates and Events

  • UGAT registration dates: UGAT registration is an online process. The UGAT exam schedule is released on the official website of AIMA UGAT along with the UGAT 2025 application form.
  • UGAT fee payment: Candidates have to make a fee payment after filling out the application form. The application fee can be paid online only.
  • AIMA UGAT admit card release: UGAT admit cards will be issued to candidates who have completed the UGAT application process. The candidates can download their admit cards online until the day of the UGAT exam.
  • UGAT exam date: UGAT is conducted only once a year. The UGAT 2025 exam will be conducted on June 14, 2025.
  • UGAT result date: The UGAT result is announced within a week of the exam. The test takers can check their results and download the scorecard online.

Q:   What should be the preparation strategy for AIMA UGAT?

A:
1. Make a study schedule for yourself. You most certainly need to follow a study schedule. That not only helps you to divide your day into periods allotted for each subject, but also makes your work more organized. 2. Maintain an excel sheet. 3. Take the aid of modern technology to prepare for your exams. 4. Maintain an excel sheet to record the number of subjects you have to study, the number of subjects you cover each day and the chapters that you cover. 5. This way, you can tell at a glance (literally!). Which subjects and chapters you have studied well enough to confidently give yourself the green signal, and which ones need more revisions.

Q:   Is the UGAT application form available offline also?

A:

The UGAT application forms are available online as well as offline. Candidates can apply for the UGAT exam online on the official website of AIMA as well as offline by downloading the UGAT registration form. Check below to know how to apply for UGAT offline: 

  1. Candidates can download the AIMA UGAT application form from the institutes websites listed with AIMA or from AIMA head office located at the Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
  2. Candidates need to pay a fee of INR 750 through cash or DD to AIMA. The DD should be drawn in the favor of 'All India Management Association' payable at New Delhi.
  3. Candidates should also attach two self-attested slips or adhesive stickers.

Candidates must note that the UGAT 2024 application form must be submitted before the deadline. Also, it must be ensured that the information mentioned on the same is correct and complete. Forms having incomplete/incorrect information will be rejected.

Q:   What is the syllabus for UGAT?

UGAT syllabus includes all the important topics of subjects that are relevant for business administration and general aptitude. For UGAT exam, candidates have to study, English Language, Numerical and Data Analysis, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and General Knowledge. Given below are the key topics included in the UGAT syllabus: -

  1. The English Language section of UGAT exam syllabus includes various topics of Grammar, Word Meaning, Vocabulary, Parajumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Completion, Synonyms and Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Idioms, Analogies, etc.
  2. The Numerical and Data Analysis section of UGAT syllabus includes all the topics of Mathematics from Class 9 to 10 such as Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra Trigonometry, Modern Math, Number System, Percentages, Equations, Ratio and Proportion, Work and Time, Averages, Mensuration, etc.
  3. The Reasoning and Intelligence section of the UGAT syllabus includes topics such as Coding and Decoding, Visual Reasoning, Puzzles, Patterns, Arrangement, Blood Relations, Strong and Weak Arguments, Course of Action, Series, etc.
  4. The last section, General Knowledge, of the UGAT syllabus is based on the current happenings, domestic and international news, history, etc. The questions are based on topics such as Current Affairs, Sports, Politics, Economics, Business, History, Geography, Famous Personalities, Books and Authors, etc. 

In order to prepare well for UGAT, candidates need to prepare well with the help of UGAT past year question papers and sample papers. UGAT BBA tests have English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Numerical & Data Analysis. The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode as well as online mode. Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Punctuation, Passive, Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs and proverbs, Articles direct and indirect speech, Sentence formation, Adverbs grammar, Reading comprehension, Verbal reasoning and verbal ability. Numerical Data Analysis - Arithmetic, Numeric calculations, Linear equations, Matrices, Basic properties of sets and groups, Scalars, Vectors, Coordinate systems, Tensors, and transformation. Reasoning and Intelligence - General reasoning ability, Puzzles, Original and varied questions, Numerical Riddle. General Knowledge - General awareness, Current affairs, Social development, Politics. The English Language section has 40; Numerical and Data Analysis has 30 questions; Reasoning and General Intelligence has 30 questions; General Knowledge-30 questions; Total Duration of the exam is 2 hours, 1 mark for correct -0.25 for incorrect.
