Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college provides on-campus placements in 3rd year and final year. Students get placed based on their talents. Internships are provided in some good companies under professors' guidance.
Infrastructure: Biotech has separate department buildings with good infrastructure like Wi-Fi, labs, libraries, etc. The hostel is average and the taste of the food differs from person to person. Ladies' hostel has in-time but outings are provided from the 2nd year.
Faculty: Every professor is qualified and teaches very well. Students have to self-learn many things. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage differs every year. Semester exams are not much difficult.
Other: I chose this course because, nowadays, life science courses like biotech and pharma are more in demand and have high opportunities in India and abroad. Our college has cultural events every year and has a department symposium.

Dissatisfied as there are no good placements, and the teaching faculty are poor.
Placements: 10% of students got placed in our college. 4.2 LPA is the highest package offered in our course, and 2 LPA is the average package offered in our course. No one got an internship in core companies. Associate analyst is the top role we got from placements.
Infrastructure: There are no good classrooms for us. Labs also have to be maintained well, and many instruments don't work well. Very bad quality food is provided in the hostel. They have to be inside the hostel before 6:30 pm. Many people couldn't go for sports. Because of the food, many hostel students are very weak.
Faculty: Some teachers are well-qualified. Some teachers don't know what they are talking about. They don't give us much knowledge to be industry-ready, and they have to provide more knowledge. The pass percentage is 80%. Semester exams are a bit difficult.

Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University review.
Placements: Last year, about 50% of the students in my college were placed. The highest package was 14 lpa, and the lowest was 5 lpa. The top recruiting companies are Reliance, Google, Microsoft, and McDonald's. Internship opportunities start in the third year. For my course, students are offered the role of medical assistant in a lab.
Infrastructure: The labs and hostels are well maintained, and the food is good. The classrooms are okay, but some need better maintenance. Sports facilities are well-maintained, and there are clubs like NSS, NCC, and YRC. I'm in YRC, and it's necessary to join one of these clubs and volunteer in activities to get your degree certificate.
Faculty: The staff and faculty were very good to me. The quality of teaching was excellent. The course curriculum included two assessments and semester exams. The difficulty level of the semester exams was entirely up to the staff because it's a government university.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in science and plan to do research in health science. The campus has a strong academic reputation and offers a rigorous curriculum in the sciences. The faculty is very supportive, and the facilities are state-of-the-art. The campus also has a very diverse student body, which makes for a vibrant and enriching campus life.

Highly satisfied with college fee. Value for money.
Placements: No core companies for Industrial biotechnology came for placements. Zifo was the semi core company which recruited around 7 to 8 students. The highest package offered was 6 LPA from Musigma and Latentview. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA from Infosys.
Infrastructure: The classrooms had facilities like projectors. Wi-Fi was not available in the classrooms. Since it was a government college, it had all the basic technologies. The canteen food was poor, and it does not have many varieties. The medical facilities were good with doctor availability 24/7, which is free of cost. The sports ground was large with all the courts.
Faculty: For most of the subjects, the teachers were well qualified. Their teaching was very good and gave us practical knowledge. This course curriculum was relevant, and students were industry-ready. Except for a few subjects, the faculty members were excellent.
Other: I was chosen this course because I wanted to get into the top institution in Tamilnadu. One that needed to improve is to get relevant placements for the course. Events and fest would happen excellently.

Fantastic college with average placements.
Placements: Given that biotechnology offers only limited placement opportunities in Indian scenario, this is one of the inadequate aspects of the college. A couple of biotech related companies do come to campus, however very few students ( 10% of the class strength) gets placed there. The package is average. Most of the other students either opt for higher studies or join the IT companies those come for recruitment with a fairly similar package.
Infrastructure: Hostels are just okay. Mess food is below average. However, canteen is very good and offer good food at cheap rates. There is also a restaurant within the campus. NRI hostels are very good with LAN connectivity and AC rooms. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The laboratories are well-equipped with modern equipment. The college has a vast playground and library. There is a 24*7 medical help centre in the campus.
Faculty: Course curriculum is very good. One of the best in the field. It has optimum mix of various teaching methodologies like presentation, practical experimentation. Few of the senior teachers are well known in the field and are adept with the latest techniques available. They are ready to help the students with internships, LORs etc. However, the newer staffs are not very regular with the classes and its the students' responsibility to get the best out of them.
Other: It is a huge campus. Various committees and clubs operate in campus. It is possible to meet students from diverse backgrounds, which is a learning by itself. The alumni network is very good. Top scorers are awarded suitably.
