My UG campus experience!
Placements: The best thing about this course is the placement drive. About 75 percent of the students get placed before the end of the 7th semester itself, and it's such a wonderful thing. Others opt for higher studies and other competitive exams. The average package was about 6 LPA last year. The roles offered were mainly Junior Engineer, Research Intern, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the classroom, library, labs, and others is very nice, but the labs have old equipment, which is the only drawback. I am a day scholar, so I don't have any idea about the hostel and mess food. But as far as I've heard, my friends hate the mess food. The canteen, medical centre, and sports board are the best.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and will help you everywhere. This course is literally relatable to every aspect of life. The course is difficult, in my opinion, and the semester exams are tough. You'll be able to cope with these if you focus really hard and study well.

I am satisfied with its teachers, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 60%-70% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA by BPCL. The lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA by TCS. The average salary package offered ranges from 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Reliance, Technip Energies, L&T, Woolpac, JSW, Cognizant, TCS, and Mindtree. Almost 10% of students got internships at Saint Gobain.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-furnished and comfortable. Wi-Fi, personal computers, microphones, and projectors are also available. It also has a separate, dedicated library. It consists of all major chemical engineering books. The food served at the hostel is average. Sports are also available. A free health center is available 24X7.
Faculty: Professors are well-educated, and the teaching quality is excellent. Our course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very tough. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. This course has a wide range of opportunities. Many events are conducted at this college.

It is a good land to study and to explore.
Placements: More than 80% of students were placed in the academic year who participated in placements in different multinational companies in core and IT companies for good salary packages. The minimum salary package offered is 6 LPA to 22 LPA in companies like Reliance, CPCL, BPCL Technip, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has classrooms and teaching complex that are good. The old building gives a lot of memories and still remains good but due to construction works going on, roads and building work makes college mess but not for long time. Hostel infrastructure is good enough and gives fun filled experience to you. Food is of average quality.
Faculty: The curriculum and syllabus are average because we have to study more. Faculty members teach you only the basics and idea about the courses. We will be able to learn a lot on our own. But on other side, faculty members are always in our side for helping you in career, education, and in economic crisis.

A college where education is easily affordable.
Placements: Close to 80% of the chemical engineers were placed, but the role was not specifically towards chemical engineering, it was a mix of IT as well as core. The highest salary was 6 Lacs per annum by ITC and the minimum was 2.5 Lacs. The average package was 3.5 Lacs. The companies which came for placements were Motul, Ford, SDS ramcides, ITC, CUMI.
Infrastructure: There are all the basic labs like the heat transfer labs and the mass transfer labs, reaction engineering labs were also there, however soft skill labs were not functional. I suggest them to. Have labs for ASPEN and matlab. Pilot labs could be built and students could be encouraged to work on pilot projects. Though campus has full Wi-Fi it is not that effective. The college has a big ground which encourages students to play almost all the sports. The medical facilities are way below the average.
Faculty: The faculty could be more industry oriented. Hardly 2 to 3 faculty are industry based rest are Ph.D. pursuing candidates. The faculty members used board and chalk, and the notes used by them are the same ones used by seniors. The curriculum was so basic and it needs to be improved to be in line with IIT.
Other: College has technical fests which is really good. It encourages students to involve and conduct various strategic based events related to chemical engineering.

Good facilities, poor infrastructure, average placements, some faculty are good.
Placements: The placements for my batch were significantly low compared to the previous batches. Majority of the students who sat for placements got a job, but very few got a job in their core area, roughly about 25 to 30 percent. BPCL offered the highest package with 12 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was by the bulk software recruiters like Accenture, CTS, etc. which was around 3 lakhs per annum. Top software service firms like Accenture, IBM, CTS, Infosys, etc., the analytic firms like Fractal Analytics, MuSigma and few core industries like ITC, Wabag, Murugappa group, SRF, Reliance, BPCL etc. visit the campus for placements. There is no support from the department for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The college has an AC tech-campus. The students enjoy all the facilities at CEG campus, and the library, sports, and Wi-Fi are state of the art. The quality of food will be very good and affordable in the canteen. The labs are very outdated. Facilities like projectors and mike were available in all the classrooms, but due to poor maintenance, most of them are non-functional. The hostel rooms were decent and not so good.
Faculty: Very few faculty were knowledgeable and qualified. Most of them were helpful. Majority of the faculty were not skilful enough in teaching. The student to faculty ratio is pretty good, and there are a good number of faculty. The course curriculum was outdated, and the faculty failed to motivate the students towards chemical engineering, and many students lost interest. No industrial exposure was provided.
Other: The campus is good, though it lacked good infrastructure. Don't expect the faculty to be knowledgeable and the courses will be just exam oriented. A good library and Wi-Fi facilities are present. The placement in IT-sector is guaranteed if you are an average student. Overall, if you could self-learn and are interested in the field, the campus will provide a good environment.

TNEA cutoff 180+ is very good enough for getting B.Tech Chemical Engineering course in any reputed Engineering College. So you can get AIT Karaikudi for the asked course.

Hello Venkat, Normally speaking, all private institutions are allowed to offer admissions to NRI out of management quota. I would advise you to contact the institute directly for authentic information.
