Review of Alpha Arts and Science College, Chennai.
Placements: Our college provides good placements in companies like Vibro and TCS. Many companies give a good life to students. They select students with good communication skills. The highest percentage scored in our college is 80% and the lowest percentage scored is 60%.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college has good labs, a library with Wi-Fi connections. There is a very good canteen and it serves very tasty food. Medical facilities are also provided. Our library contains lots of useful books. Even our department also has a specific library with biotechnology books and research books.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are very helpful and very carrying persons. They give more knowledgeable words for our life. Teachers give a lot of advice to achieve our dreams and share their life experiences. Teaching is very good and easy to understand
Other: I opted for this course because it is related to plants and animals and I like plants and animals. They give good medicines to new organisms and a variety of plants.

Our college provides more important to studies, but not for cultural events.
Placements: Many students are studying here. Nowadays, biotech studies are more valuable. Biotechnologist is struggling against coronavirus, and they are involved in developing the vaccine. Biotech is about life science.
Infrastructure: Our college provides some labs, but there are many instruments to do practicals. Our college provides a little library and a canteen. Quality of food served in the canteen is average. Our college does not provide Wi-Fi facility for students. Classrooms are good. Our college provides some interest in sports.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are experienced. They will conduct classes very well. Their teaching quality is very good. In our college, studies are more important than sports. The main aim of the staff members is to make every student study. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is more important nowadays in day-to-day life. It is very interesting if we start studying biotechnology course.

Placements: The average salary package offered is starting from Rs. 15,000 to 40,000 per month in our course. Overall, 75% of the students got placed in both core and non-core companies. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Health Watch, Zifo Pharmaceutical Company, Sutherland, Wipro, AGS, etc. Internships are offered in Advance Wildlife Conservation, Anuva, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs in our department are large with all equipment, and classrooms are also large with good aeration, many tables and maintained clean. Sports meets are conducted here every year. The library in AASC contains many books of both foreign and Indian author books.
Faculty: Teachers in AASC are expert and experienced. They are very good in their way of teaching, which is more understandable. Lecturers help us for studying, in attending examinations and practicals. They show more concern for academically below-average students to gain marks and knowledge.
Other: Many cultural and sports events are conducted in AASC. I have chosen this course because I like science. I had completed almost 5 years in AASC both PG and UG in biotechnology.

Department of biotechnology does a good job in teaching.
Placements: Placement is available and offered a good package. Students should have good performance/percentage in academics. Students also got internship offers from various places like IIT- Madras and from various labs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. College provide various facilities for students like bus facilities. Labs and classrooms are in good manner. Wi-Fi connection is not available. Library is good and clean. Hostel facility, canteen is also available and good.
Faculty: The teaching methodology is good and the faculty members are good and helpful to us. They teach us in-depth and the quality of teaching is good. The course subject are relevant and it makes the students to learn from the industry side and make us prepare to meet the industry requirements.
Other: Extra curricular activities for PG students and events need to be improved. Overall good.
