Amrita college of engineering review.

Placements: The placements are for sure either in the core or IT. Those who work hard get core jobs. On campus, from starting 1st year itself, they teach Math, English and Aptitude, which is a big plus. During college placements, most of the companies ask for Aptitude test. Hence we can crack it easily as we have been taught aptitude earlier. The big companies that visit college are Microsoft, Zoho, Mu Sigma, Amazon, Ashok Leyland. Microsoft offers the highest 16 LPA CTC per year. Average and the lowest is 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus is huge. There is a lot of space inside which is very beautiful. It is situated in Ettimadai. The only issue is it is on outskirts of Coimbatore. It is about 2 hours from Coimbatore. So being a day scholar it took me around daily 2 hours to go to the college. It has a railway track inside. The railway station is nearby so you can use them to go to the main city. There is greenery everywhere. All the sports facilities are present inside. You can play cricket, football, table tennis, gym, Basketball, tennis inside. The fee is little costly. The college entrance exam is costly. The college fee is costly when compared to the other colleges in Coimbatore. I used to pay a total of around 1.5 Lacs per year. For 2 semesters and college bus service for a year. The hostel is good and clean. Only Veg food is served. But me being a day scholar I didn't stay at the hostel. The library is big. You can find all the prescribed books in the library. The lab session is good. The only issue is you have to buy a white coat for chemistry labs which is waste of money, and you have college uniform which is bad.

Faculty: The faculty is good. They are helpful. Being autonomous college, the syllabus is difficult, and paper correction is strict. Mostly everyone gets around 7 CGPA. The only issue is they don't have holidays between each exam. So within 24 hours, you have to prepare for next exam which I found difficult.

Really a good college but one has to make his own effort to get his desired dreams.

Placements: Placements are pretty good for IT field. However, there are ample of opportunities for internships in core companies. One can expect minimum 3-4 companies for internship offers but cracking them solely lies on a person's ability. A corporate and industry relationship (CIR) is there in our college which is greatly dedicated for the placements of the people. Also they encourage startups. So, all in all for placements Amrita is a good college and one can find his or her's dream job.

Infrastructure: It has a fully Wi-Fi equipped campus. There are many collaboration with foreign universities that allow student exchange program. A central library is also available which offers 1000's of books and journals. 2- basketball courts, football ground, ball badminton ground, gym with latest instruments, 2 indoor synthetic badminton court, 4 volleyball courts, Olympic level swimming pool (surrounded by beautiful mountains) are some of its facilities provided.

Faculty: Course curriculum is purely industry oriented. The faculty members here are very qualified having done projects like DRDO, ISRO, Foreign projects, etc. The curriculum also offers to work with these projects with faculty. My personal experience was good till now with the faculty. (Their paper correction style is quite tough so need to be careful).

It's the best college in Coimbatore with extraordinary infrastructure and the best faculty.

Placements: Placements here for B.Tech are good, and very soon, they are concentrating on M.Tech. Companies like Hyundai, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Cummins, visit the campus for placements. They also have an option for integrated abroad studying facilities with scholarships. Here you will get a good internship facility, which will also help you with placements.

Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure I have ever seen in Coimbatore. The college is spread over almost 450 acres. They are maintaining good gardening. They treat the wastewater, and they use it for gardening. We have a swimming pool which is of Olympic standards. We have two gyms for men and also for women. We have 4 grounds. We have all the sports equipment. We have bus facilities inside the campus.

Faculty: Here we have faculty who have completed PhD abroad and top colleges in India like IITs. They possess good skills, and they work with other department faculty to share knowledge and also for the project. We have an option for reviewing faculty where we can comment about a faculty. The syllabus is exceptional, which is equal to IIT syllabus. Lab facilities are also good.

Other: All top non GATE students will get scholarships of Rs. 5,000. They will celebrate here all functions grandly. They celebrate Krishna Jayanti grandly, and students wear traditional dress on that day.
