B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019
Offered by Anand Institute of Higher Technology
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
The college is good to enjoy, and you can have a good college life. Placements are average.
Placements: The college provides placements along with charging money to get offers from companies. They conduct placement training classes to crack the qualifying test of the companies, and they charge money from us for the same. They charge nearly Rs. 7,500 which includes company offers and also placement training classes.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. They have built five blocks with the highly protected environment. Water resources are provided in almost all the blocks. A xerox shop and a departmental store are there at the entrance of the college. The store contains all the things necessary for students, and also they maintain the stock in a correct manner. Canteen is provided separately for boys and girls. Hostel facilities are good to see, and they have 3 bedrooms and one bathroom all.
Faculty: Around 50% of the staff members are friendly with students. The faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful and well-qualified. They exhibit their knowledge through their subjects. They only spoon-feed as they don't provide experimental knowledge except for lab periods. They have well-equipped and maintained laboratories in all the departments with NBA accreditation.
Other: The college organises some non-technical fests. They encourage non-technical events like social fest and cultural events, but they put some restrictions in organising the cultural events so that students could not enjoy the fest. Students feel like they are caged birds in the park.

A review of Anand Institute of higher Technology.
Placements: The placements are good on the campus, but not up to expected level. Don't expect core companies in this college. Even the management and staffs are not disclosing the exact criteria and eligibility of the students to attend the interview. I don't know what's the damn logic behind this.
Infrastructure: I will rate 5/10 for the infrastructure on the campus, and they are improving it. Don't expect the Wi-Fi facility on the campus. About infrastructure, it's good, but need to improve a lot. Visit the college before opting this college. The college has been built on a straight path, so travelling inside the college is difficult.
Faculty: The faculty members are up to an extent, but it's not about the staff members, it is about the management. We have one of the worst management ever. The students should inquire about the college, management, and staff for studying there before opting. About the course, the college offers all the basic courses, which you would expect.
Other: Not yet worthy to be reviewed about the college.

The infrastructure is worst and there is no proper food.
Placements: Maximum 30%-40% of the students are placed. IT companies have visited our campus. Wipro, TCS, and other mechanical core companies such as Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield have visited our campus for the interview, but nowadays the placements are reduced, we don't know what the reason is.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with well-advanced labs. The classrooms are spacious and appropriately ventilated. Our college has the advanced library and health centre. There are all types of sports in our college, like cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, etc. The infrastructure of the college is not worthy.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and kind-hearted. We can approach them whenever we are having doubts, in any subjects. The mechanical staffs are like friends to us. The student-faculty ratio is 20:1. We can go for industry visits, and the staff will arrange for that.
Other: The food is very worst, and it's not worthy. They will serve only veg food.

The college was well-reputed, and it was an unknown college for most of the locality.
Placements: The placement is good for all departments except mechanical and E&I department. The IT and CSE department get more number of on and off-campus placements. The companies are in the range of tier-1 and tier-2. For other departments, if they want a job in any field, there will be many choices such as Sutherland, CSS Corp, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the major advantage for the college because most of the departments are AICTE approved, and from that, you can know how the construction was. The labs are good and well maintained. The major disadvantage is that the college was not Wi-Fi enabled. The food was average.
Faculty: The faculty and the course curriculum were good, but not best. Some of the staff were too good and experienced but some staff are young and inexperienced. About the course curriculum, it follows Anna University, so it will not differ from other college. The lab assistants were good and they explain experiments keenly.
Other: Symposium is the only event which happens each and every year for all the departments, and department day was conducted for all the departments and sports day is also conducted every year.

Not a helpful college, please do not waste your money and your time here.
Placements: There were not really much of a campus placement either for my batch or for the batch before. So I request anyone who is considering this college, to not rely much on college for placement. Most of the companies which came for campus placement were BPOs. There were few IT companies, but they selected only 3 or 4 students out of all the final year students. If you are planning to join mechanical, I can tell you one thing that there will be no core companies for campus placement. The management and staff will tell you that there will be core companies arriving for placement but don't be fooled by them. I remember a guy got placed in Wipro for Rs. 25000 per month, and it is the highest salary among those who were placed. However, he never got the call letter till now. The lowest salary was given by Ticona Internet Company, which gave about Rs. 9000 per month. The role of the job is a technician, which involves in giving internet connection to new houses. If you are placed in this college, you can expect the average salary as Rs. 12000 and you will probably get an entry-level role in the company. The college doesn't help to get an internship for students. You have to get it on your own. There is a placement cell in this college, but it is literally useless. There is only one person in the placement cell, and I don't think he did a good job in our placements.
Infrastructure: There are totally 3 blocks of classrooms, one building which consists of a general shop and Xerox shop, and there are boys and girls hostels separately. There is also mess for morning and afternoon dinner. There is no Wi-Fi, labs are okay, the library is average, poor medical facilities and no sports or games. The quality of labs and classrooms is average. Food in the canteen is the worst. I've seen insects and worms several times in my food. We have raised these issues to management, but they never did a thing. Hostel rooms are very average. I've faced a lot of infrastructure related issues in my tenure like lack of sport or recreation facilities, lack of good mess facility, etc.
Faculty: Our teachers tried to be helpful, but they were not up to the industry standards. This college is Anna University affiliated college, so they follow the regular curriculum of Anna University. The corrections of Anna University are the worst. Their curriculum is also not up to the standard. Some teachers taught well, but most of them read the lines from the textbook and asked us to write notes. We were taken for industrial visits twice, but both time it was the students who got permission from companies, not the college. I'm now working in a company, and I can say that the exposure that I received was not enough.
Other: Final year students will organise Symposium, which will be paid for by all the department students, and the management will make zero financial or any contribution towards it. For using the college mess for Symposium, we were charged by management. I can't remember this happening in any other colleges. These events were conducted for namesake from students money. There will be sports meet every year, but the management will cancel it because some students will argue during sports meet. Few workshops are organised during my tenure, they were kind of helpful, but of course, you have to pay for it. Another the worst thing is that you have to pay for college mess even if you don't eat on college mess. This is the same for college transport, and you have to pay the transport fee regardless of if you're travelling by college bus or not. Even if your house is literally next to the college gate, they will ask you to pay.
