It’s a top tier college, I'm a satisfied student. It’s a bit stressful but a good college.
Placements: On an average, 80% of the students get placed. The highest package offered was 26 LPA and the average package was 5 LPA. The top recruiters are Bosch, ISRO, BHEL and many others. We have to search for internships on our own and it is compulsory, so most of the students join internships in BHEL and other embedded companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructures is quite good. The labs are fully equipped with Wi-Fi. The classrooms are quite large where easily 70 to 80 students can fit in. Also we have an accessible library having all the kinds of books available. We can also borrow books for a few days from the library.
Faculty: Our teachers are well qualified, most of them are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching is good and understandable, but they teach better if we go in person and ask doubts outside the class. The curriculum is relevant to the industry but is quite old compared to the present technology. It is important to study the older curriculum in order to understand the present technology. The semester exams are tough compared to the other branches because we study circuitry and programing. The passing percentage is around 80%.
Other: I chose this course because it is the same course as electronics and communication. The main advantage is that we get to study electronics like circuitry and also programing, so we can join any domain. We have 2 fest organized in our college, one is Manthan, a big fest and another is Kalarava which is a small fest.

Our college is very good for education.
Placements: Around 95% of students are placed. The minimum salary package offered is 5 LPA. The maximum salary package offered is 25 LPA. Bosch, Benz, ABB, Capgemini, Bolton, Infosys, etc., are the top recruiting compnaies. Almost 95% of students got internships. There is a separate placement center where training is provided.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi connection is available on campus. Few classrooms are good with technology facilities but some classrooms are old. The girls' hostel is good compared to the boys' hostel. Laboratories are well-maintained. Our college has sports and NCC facilities. The canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers are kind and friendly. They clear students' doubts whenever they approach them. They are supportive of all activities and they also give extra knowledge during exams. They also conduct industry visits for students. Semester exams are not difficult.

BIT- Bangalore Electronic and telecommunication review.
Placements: Around 50 percent were placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Bosch, Wipro, Samsung, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Oracle, etc. are the top recruiters. Internships were less; some of them got internships in Microchip and Bosch. Despite being in core branch, we have to sit for software engineer roles.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of my department were good; the labs were well-equipped with Wi-Fi; the classrooms are spacious but the benches are old and broken. The hostel was good, clean and spacious. The food served was good with a lot of events and celebrations in the hostel.
Faculty: Teaching quality is okay; teachers are knowledgeable. Yes, the course is relevant if you want to join core companies. Semester exams are a bit difficult, with a pass percentage of 50%. So overall, it's good to be in this course, and you should also learn coding side by side.
Other: I chose this course as my rank was a bit low. It's good for core subject knowledge. Events are good both on campus and in the hostel. Campus can be increased to other branches.

It is a good college if you want to go for higher studies, but placements are average.
Placements: In the electronics and telecommunication branch, there are 60 seats. On average, 30-35 students got placements, and some students opt for higher studies. In the telecommunication branch, you can get placements in both core and IT companies. In IT companies, mostly, Infosys, Wipro and Accenture are the main recruiters. In the core companies, Robert Bosch and Siemens are the main recruiters.
Infrastructure: BIT's campus is not that large, as it is in the middle of the city. Other than that, you can enjoy your evening in the city, and there is a lot of ease in travelling. The college's main gate is very near to the metro, which saves a lot of travel costs. In BIT, most of the students live in PG and flats because hostel life is very boring in BIT's hostel. It is very small, and the food is also not that good. It is very strict as well. BIT has good library facilities, and there is free Wi-Fi. Many courses are offered free for students. In terms of sports facilities, BIT only has a ground for volleyball and badminton. Still, you can play other games on the ground, which is near the college, i.e., National College ground.
Faculty: Teachers in BIT are very helpful and qualified. They help you whenever you want, but they only talk about things which are in the course. Faculty members don't motivate students towards extra knowledge which is required for placements. The course curriculum is designed by VTU, and VTU keeps it updated by the time.

It is a good college and one of the best colleges in terms of placements in Bangalore.
Placements: Top 80% of the students got placed with an average salary package of 3.2 LPA in 2015. Companies like Aricent, Bosch, Accenture, Wipro, JP Morgan, Sprinklr, Volvo, Nokia, Cisco, SAP, etc., visited our campus for placements. Roles like software developer, tester, automation engineer, network engineer, etc., were offered to students.
Infrastructure: The college is Wi-Fi enabled with all major equipment in the laboratory. There were separate laboratories for all engineering subjects. The library was well-stocked. Hostel for girls was situated outside the campus in a posh area called JP Nagar. The hostel had a menu suitable for both North Indians as well as South Indians. There was no sports ground, but there is a common ground for KIMS college and other institutes under the same governing body called Vokkaligara Sangha.
Faculty: Teachers were supportive and very knowledgeable. However, the teaching pedagogy in 2015 was bound to bookish mug ups. Nowadays, there have been much industry bound exposure programs which enable the students to have real-time experiences to the industry.
Other: The college organises fest called Manthan, and it is considered to be among the top 5 festivals in Bangalore.
