B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2021
Offered by Camellia Institute Of Technology

Review of Camellia Institute of Technology.
Placements: I don't know the exact percentage of students who got placed but it will be very low. Many students got placed but they got placed through the off-campus drive. On-campus drives are not relevant here. Many small companies came & offered around Rs 1.8LPA to Rs 2.5LPA. Also, we didn't get any sort of internships at all.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very limited here. They have 2 sports grounds, one library, two hall rooms for organizing workshops. Classrooms are not an issue as there are many classrooms vacant. Previously there were 2 hostels, one for boy's, one for girls'. But the girls' hostel is not available now. Foods are not so high in quality in hostels.
Faculty: Teachers might be very qualified but their teaching skills are not so high. They don't give attention to every student. 80% of teachers are like that. Few teachers are helpful but the rest are not. Semester exams are the responsibility of the university, not college. Difficulty levels I would say not very hard not very easy. You need to study to get passed in semesters. You need to have 5 points in every subject to successfully pass the semester. CGPA based results will be out within 2 months after exams.
Other: I chose ECE because we have the freedom to set our future in both the core industry or the IT industry. So we can learn in four years then decide which way is good for us & for our future. Campus life is very boring as there are not so many crowds out there, very few students take admission. College Fest, Fresher's welcome occurred once a year.

The placements of the college are not good as in previous years.
Placements: 1. I don't know about it.
2. The highest is 3.5 lacks per annum some thing, average is 2.5to 3 lacks per annum something and the lowest is 1.5 lacks something may b.
3. I don't know
4.0% students got internship from this college
5. Software engineer is the most top role that offered by this college.
Infrastructure: 1. Teachers of this colleges are helpful for students.
2. Wi-Fi is useless of this college, lab, library and classrooms are good of this college.
3. Canteen, foodquality is good, no hostel facility now in this college may b, and don't know about the medical facilities. College have a playground for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Some of them are Ph.D. and some are M.Tech holders. The principal of this college is a doctorate. The teaching quality of the faculty members is average. A few are very good. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students ready for industry. The pass percentage is 6.0.

Camellia Institute of Technology review from pass out batch student in the year 2014.
Placements: The college is not that much good in the placements like other renowned private colleges since I was there. They bring some small companies like Genpact, Tech Mahindra, etc., to the campus, but they give you much more information about off-campus in big companies like TCS, CTS, Accenture, etc., or give some aptitude examination from where you can directly apply for an interview. It's very good actually.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not high in my times. They have practical labs for each subject. They have specified classroom for each stream of each year with total seat accommodation. The Wi-Fi was not there at my time, so I am not sure about now. Except all these, there are volleyball coats, badminton ground, and cricket ground. The college buses are there. A big library was there where you can take books and read peacefully.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are very good. The education is good here, so at that point only I was impressed with the college. All the professors are very intelligent and enthusiastic. Every time, they give motivation to the student. Whatever the question is from a student, they always tried to solve that, even if they don't know also. They helped very much in our project work too.
Other: Overall, it's a good college.

As an engineering student, I am proud to say that my college fulfils my wishes.
Placements: 10 companies like Amazon, Wipro, Jain group, etc. came to our college.
Good placements record in the previous year.
The highest salary that was offered to 4 students was 4.15 lacs/year.
Most companies offered posts of a trainee engineer or tech support or business development executive.
20% of the students got an internship from the college.
4k was the highest stipend offered during internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that great but not poor either.
Jio & BSNL Wi-Fi networks are there.
It has a large playground and a common room.
Hostels are there on the campus and good quality of food is available in the canteen.
Our college is a ragging-free campus. But I faced power cut during computer lab session.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful and strict and most of the teachers are PhD holders.
Blackboard or internet is used during the class.
30:5 is the student-faculty ratio. In my department, 2 teachers have industry experience. In my course curriculum, a lot of different and new things are introduced, so it is useful.
Some teachers have come here from IIT and government colleges.

Very bad college experience.
Placements: The college did not provide any placement. Only fake BPO companies came. Many friends of mine got placed in those BPOs but didn't join those fake companies. It is a totally worthless college. They promise a lot of things but will not provide you a single campus placement.
Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure. The college has very dirty rooms. The lab faculty members are very rude and very few equipment are there. Many CROs are not working properly. The computed are old. No modern technology machines are there.
Faculty: The faculty members are very rude. In our college, there were many faculty members with a Ph.D. degree but didn't teach anything about the subject. When we asked about something, they scolded us very badly. They did not know how to teach and how to behave with the students. Overall, very bad experience for all the students of Camellia.
Other: On the whole, a totally bad college. Everything is bad for this college. Nothing is good there. Only 1-2 teachers were good but the remaining faculty was not up to the mark. So I would ask you not to join any colleges of Camellia group.
