Very good college to develop personality.
Placements: Placements at this college are quite good, with many large companies, including HDFC, participating in recruitment. Last year, 60% to 70% of students were placed. Students with a science background also have opportunities for placement in the research field, depending on their course of study.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and departments are all very well-equipped. Each room has functional AC, Wi-Fi, and projectors, which makes it easier to learn and present concepts. The hostel is also very nice, with all the essential facilities, and the food is great.
Faculty: The faculty in our course are very generous and supportive to students in every way. They are experienced, and their teaching qualities are very good. The curriculum of our course is very advanced. The exams were a bit difficult, but the passing percentage is 90% to 95%.
Other: I chose botany because I have a strong interest in nature, and botany is the subject that is most relevant to it. I am very satisfied with my course and the faculty. As a research student, I need the lab to be more advanced and have a good space for doing research. The college hosts many events, including an annual fest and departmental fests. The various societies also hold their own cultural fests each year, which are a lot of fun. In addition, there are many inter-college competitions, challenges, and activities that make college life much more interesting and enjoyable.

Awesome college of North campus of Delhi University.
Placements: The college has its own placement cell 'Vriddhi'. Every year, the college offers placement for students of almost all departments from various renowned companies. The highest package offered goes upto 10 Lacs per annum. The students of all departments appear for the placements in their final year and the placement percentage of college goes as high as 90%.
Infrastructure: The Botany Department has all the latest instruments required for the experimental studies. All the labs and the lecture theater are fully air conditioned and have proper ventilation and lights. Talking about the hostel, the hostel of DRC is regarded as one of the best hostels Delhi University and is now even more better after renovation. The hostel has big rooms with proper lighting and ventilation and mess offers good food. The security of hostel is very high and proper medical room is there for any emergency with the students.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and have an experience of more than 15+ years. They all are passionate for teaching and use advanced methodologies for teaching. All the topics of each and every paper are taught according to the latest syllabus and curriculum. Earlier CBCS system was present, but now syllabus is taught according to NEP.

Bad infrastructure but Great Academics.
Placements: Most of the students don't sit for placements. Only the B.Com. (Hons.) and Econ. students sit for the placements. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest must be somewhere around 4 LPA, and the mean is 5 LPA. The big 4 visit our campus since its on the north campus, but they pick mostly from better colleges like SRCCC. As for internships, there aren't any opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is something they should work on. They are constructing a new building without preparing the old one. The washrooms are the worst, and they are not bothered at all. It's a girls college; they should worry about the health of the students.
Faculty: The academics are great, but rigorous as well. From an academic perspective, you'll get everything here. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are mostly based on PYQ's, and I think all the students pass.
Other: I think the science courses are more rigorous and hectic because we have practicals as well. If you are opting for a science course here, get ready to say bye to the hill, full of life college life.

Our college gives an enjoyable college life.
Placements: Placements are not provided for science courses. Our college has great exposure because of the diversity of students. Placement cell works hard to collaborate with big companies, but chances of landing jobs are very low. Mostly physics or mathematics students get placed.
Infrastructure: Our college building is old and its arena is small but it lies at the heart of the north campus making it a little desirable. The front lawn Gazebo is known for its beauty and is the main attraction of our college. Rangshala is an amphitheater.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are less supportive. The administration is very not cooperative with societies, students, and extracurricular activities. The principal is very arrogant and never understands students. Teachers focus more on making assignments, files, and homework rather than real learning and career-making.
Other: Diwali Mela which is Jalsa is very well organised in our college and an annual fest Manjari is a major eye-catcher. A few celebrities like Maninder Bhutter and Mankirat Aulakh take part in the fest.

No specific complaints but could have been better.
Placements: Since, I am pursuing B.Sc. botany hons from Daulat Ram College, this course does not offer any placement as such but one can crack entrance exams after this course to get placed in pharmaceutical companies or can make career in fields like bioinformatics and biostatistics based on their choice. Here, Botany is taught in such a way that we start becoming compassionate and observant towards nature. A sense of curiosity is developed among students because of various botanical projects given to them. Along with this, botanical excursions and field trips are also conducted within and outside the college.
Infrastructure: Honestly, the college may disappoint u during initial days of your admission with respect to it's infrastructure as students are usually influenced by so-called college life shown by Bollywood, but every college of DU has managed to maintain a student friendly infrastructure in it's own way. DRC has a beautiful green front lawn which looks even more colorful during winters. Sports complex has an equipped room along with a big playground. Wifi facility may bother u sometimes. There is network issue inside clg premises. Department of Botany- Since, I spend most of my time here only, I would like to specifically describe it in terms of facilities. The labs are air conditioned. Also, they are ventilated with large windows. But, sometimes the AC needs to be repaired. The lab staff is just amazing. They are extremely helpful. They show genuine care and support during practical exams. On a scale from 1-10, they are an an 11. They do their work very efficiency. The problems u may face as a botany student could be lack of space during practicals if the class strength is very full. Otherwise, the department is quite peaceful.
Faculty: The professors are well qualified. Majority of them are extremely sweet and helpful. But remember, exceptions are always there. Lectures are carried out mostly with the help of PowerPoint presentations. Along with this, they explain by writing on board as well whenever needed. Semester exams are normally easy to moderate. One can pass with flying colors if she is consistent.
Other: DRC is a girls college which has it's own pros and cons. I didn't find it much helpful in terms of exposure. I feel choosing a co-ed college helps more in personality development. On the other hand, studying in girls clg provides a peaceful, secure environment during fests/jalsa etc. Girls feel safe during the events and chances of mishappenings are least. I chose botany because of my love for plants and nature. Another reason includes the futuristic opportunities in this course. One can establish oneself in various fields like research, teaching, agriculture, floriculture, or even in bioinformatics and biostatistics and what not.
