Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering - shaped my future but college needs improvement.
Placements: Placements were, as usual, majority into IT Companies. Me being a Start-up enthusiast found less of such companies. Packages varied from 3.5LPA to 12-15LPA. Top IT recruiters were Accenture, Infosys, TCS, etc. Only 20% of students got an Internship from my course. Top roles were for IT fresher engineer or supply-chain fresher.
Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure with 19th Century buildings but Great Quality ones. The hostels were okay, especially washrooms were below okay. Canteen food was fine, nothing great. Friends make College and Hostel life worth living and full of memories. So I am happy to have got amazing friends.
Faculty: Amazing Teachers. Very Knowledgeable. But the curriculum does not make students Industry Ready. Need better labs, better projects, better experiments, better internships. We still used AutoCAD 6th version when market has 15th Version out in the market.
Other: Interest in Engineering, as well as Business, made me choose this course. Improvement should be made in Infrastructure, Course Updation, Better Extra-curricular.

The college is on par, but it could be better.
Placements: Around 10 students from our course were placed in the same company, so the salary package offered to them is 4.5 LPA. Core companies like L&T and Cisco are the top recruiters of our course. Hardware engineer is the top role offered in our course. The highest salary package between 5-10 LPA and the average salary package 4.5 LPA and the lowest salary package around 2 LPA are offered in our course. About 20% of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very old as IEM was one of the first few courses to be established. We have a general Wi-Fi zone throughout the college, and it is pretty responsive, but it is available only for one hour. The food and other facilities in the hostel are mediocre, concerning vegetarian food. The food is not very good, and they provide the same food after a few days. However, the rest facilities are on par but nothing special.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and qualified, but others are just for the sake of finishing the syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant but very well known. IEM is a specific stream, and many students are not aware of it. Hence it tends to be ignored. So there is nothing great about this course.
Other: I chose this course as it is a combination of engineering and management, which seems to be a good course on paper, but it lacks recognition. I wish that our course should get more recognition. All other extracurricular activities here are pretty important and celebrated well. The college is all famous for extracurricular activities.

Good college with placements.
Placements: It has an elite placement division for all the students. It provides pre-placement skills for better confidence of the students. It also supports training in CV writing, aptitude assessment also. Internship opportunities are provided in various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is awesome, the college is spacious surrounded by trees and greenery. It is surrounded by hospitals and public area. It has a modern infrastructure with plenty of area for everything like parking, conducting events and organizing programs.
Faculty: The faculty has a rich experience in teaching and are rich in knowledge. The institution has hundreds of faculty and supports you in other events also. The institution is autonomous and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. The faculty is friendly and helps always.

The college is neither very bad nor very good. It can be rated average.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. All the eligible students are getting placed. All the reputed companies like Infosys, Accenture are mass recruiters. Byju's and other companies hire the required number of students. Other companies are yet to visit here. Most of the students are already placed.
Infrastructure: Amenities like Wi-Fi, labs, auditorium, library, medical facility, digital library, parking, hospital, and football field, are available here. All the departments have a separate building, and there are two canteens. There are total 4 hostals (2 girls and 2 boys). The campus is huge. There are around 3 auditoriums along with an amphitheatre.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members in our college are highly knowledgeable and helpful. They all are qualified. Faculty members are very supportive, and they are themselves interested in learning new things from students. Not everyone is interested in teaching. Some are very lazy to even come to class and to clear the doubt.

The campus life and the placements are good but terrific infrastructure.
Placements: The placements are very good for students of all branches in DSCE. The average package offered was around 4.5 LPA for the last year. The leading companies such as Google, GE, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Bosch, MuSigma, L&T, Mercedes Benz, Textron etc., visit the campus for recruitment of graduates. The highest package offered was 10 LPA at google. The college also has a placement training team and placement cell that makes sure all the students are ready for placement by conducting pre-placement activities, guest lectures, mock interviews and so on. The college also has a cell that focuses on training students at the industry level.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great, and the college provides Wi-Fi all around the campus which is free to use. The classrooms are well designed and equipped with slides and projectors to promote multimedia knowledge and educational platforms. The labs are also up to date with the latest equipment and apparatus. The library is vast, spacious, well organised and well placed. A digital library also exists. The college also has a fully functional gym equipped with the latest equipment is open to the students of the institution. The college is very supportive when it comes to co-curricular activities such as sports and cultural activities.
Faculty: The faculty is well educated and trained in their profession. They are well qualified in their subjects and are also equally well approachable. Teachers are well trained in using traditional as well as non-traditional teaching methods such as field working and multimedia learning and so on. The student to faculty ratio is maintained well to make sure students get adequate attention. Industrial visits are organised every year for all the students to make sure they get adequate industry exposure.

It differs every year depending on the number of students writing the CET and demand for the seat and also the demand for different departments. Generally, the opening rank will be around 12-14000 and the closing rank is around 18-19000.

Hello, To pursue engineering in any field, a a student needs to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% throughout in 12th standard board examination. Since, you don't qualify this eligibility criteria, so you are not eligible for engineering. I hope this answers your question.
