Q:   Which is best in terms of Bsc placement, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College or DU?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, your query is alright but it perhaps begs little more clarity. Let me put it this way. DDU is a college with students, professors coming every day for learning and teaching and is known for its Bsc Course. DU on the other hand is only an administrative entity. It may issue policy, set up syllabus, decide on working hours, holidays etc. But there is no classroom and no student passes out. Of course students do pass out from different colleges affiliated to it. There are few universities which have faculty and specialised courses but these are invariably at level of PG and placements of these students pursuing PG is on a different level than for undergraduate students.
I can not resist the urge to quote "one should not compare oranges with apples"!
Best wishes to you.

It is a college with a good NIRF ranking and has been continuously progressive.
Placements: Placements are average. Not many companies will be coming to visit our college, especially for botany students. Many on-campus and off-campus internship opportunities are available at our college. There is a working placement cell in the college, and mostly B.Com students get placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good as it is newly established. Projectors are available in many classrooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college. Classrooms are quite good. The canteen is also decent. Our college has 21 laboratories and air-conditioned computer rooms, as well as a separate hostel for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Our college follows the curriculum of Delhi University, so it is quite good, but it focuses on theory. The syllabus does not make us industry-ready. Teachers are quite good and helpful, except a few. Even in online mode, every teacher took the class at the proper time.
Other: The crowd at our college is average. Many students are very good at their studies and there is high competition in our class.

Good infrastructure with average hostel and campus life.
Placements: Only students of commerce, computer science, and management got placed. The average package is around 4-6 LPA, to my knowledge. The highest is 11 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are mainly TCS, Accenture, and other management companies. My course students didn't get any internship or placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is far better compared to any other colleges of the University of Delhi. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The library is very vast, and there is a separate library for teachers and students. Classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioning and projectors. Labs are also well-equipped with the best quality instruments. The quality of food in the hostel mess is average compared to the price. So, I think choosing a PG or flat nearby is feasible. The ground is very small, but there is a sports complex in the college. Medical facilities are below average.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, all are Ph.D. qualified, and very knowledgeable. The curriculum is based on NEP, so it is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Value addition and skill enhancement courses are available. The semester exams are very difficult for science students as you have to undergo many things like practical files, assignments, presentations, practical exams, and theory exams. Practical exams are very hectic for me personally. The pass percentage is 100 percent in my course as all students are hardworking and good in studies.
Other: I chose the course because I am always enthusiastic about biological sciences. The best thing about my course is that it teaches a lot about plants and the environment. There are more than 15 societies in the college, and many fests and events are arranged by them throughout the year. The annual fest is Kalrav, which is good. Scholarships are provided by the college and university for needy students.

I am satisfied because of best infrastructure, good placements, etc.
Placements: There are approximately 45 students in a batch and each student is given proper attention at the time of placement. The top salary package offered in this course is approximately 11 LPA to 13 LPA. May students clear exams to take admissions and get abroad university.
Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure in all colleges of Delhi University. It is a fully air-conditioned campus with a Wi-Fi facility for students. There is the largest library at Delhi University. The canteen food is available at a very low price. Sports facilities and a gym are available free of cost. Mess food is also good. It is the best college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very much helpful and help so much. The curriculum of the course is relevant. The semester exams are not so difficult if students do study. They make students capable to clear exams like NET, JRF, and many more competitive exams. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose this college because of the best infrastructure on the whole DU and the best surroundings. The college is near to my house.

Absolutely satisfied with all the facilities that were provided by the college.
Placements: There were no placement in the college. Highest, lowest, average package kya hota h jb placement hi nhi h. Not even a single student got internship from my course. Roles offered in our course like we can go for lectureship and can work as a botanist.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure was good.... Spacious classroom, good internet connection, well maintained laboratories. Clean water suppliers and washroom. The quality of food served in canteen was not that bad. A lot of sport activities were held in the college campus.
Faculty: Faculty were really helpful. Helped me alot in my studies! Yes this course curriculum is relevant. Teacher faculty were really experienced, gave their hundred percent in teaching and make us learn in very easy language. Exams are not very difficult not very easy.... moderate level.
Other: I chose this course because of my keen interest in plants. The best thing about this course is like we got to know the anatomical structure, morphological structure of plants and many more!

Q:   What is the procedure to take BSc admission at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, the procedure or the process of seeking admission in Deen Dayal Upadhyay college of Delhi University is quite simple and straight forward and it is exactly same for seeking admission in any other college under Delhi University. A student needs to register himself on the special portal of Delhi University created for admissions process and is called CSAS or Common Seat Allocation System. After this the student needs to register for CUET examination conducted by National Testing Agency and seek good percentile since admissions invariably close above percentile of 95 in this college.
However to help you further I am attaching a link that will give you in detail the complete procedure of registration for admission in this college before the CUET examination and after the examination.

Q:   What is the cutoff for BSc at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Deendayal Upadhyay college under Delhi University is quite well known for its academics. It has ranking of 24 which is considered quite good. Due to this, cut offs at this Institute are quite high for all the undergraduate courses that it offers. From different sources that I could go through, the cutoffs in the year 2022 were set between 94 to 96 for different BSc courses which are offered by this college. Cutoffs very every year and it depends on the number of seats available for admission and also the results of the CUET examination. In the year 2023 either the paper was little soft  or the students were now aware of what type of questions are asked and as a result more than 20000 students have scored 100 percentile. Not only this the students who have scored percentile above 95 are more than two and half lakh. Of course this is all India figure and this test is applicable for all the Central University across India and therefore it can be safely assumed that not all the students will come up to colleges under Delhi University.  Be that as it may, this is bound to increase the competition and as a result it is expected that the cutoffs for the year 2023 for BSc courses may increase by one or two percentiles.
Best wishes to you.

Q:   When will CUET result be declared?

A:

The CUET 2024 result is scheduled to be declared tentatively by June 30, 2024, and will be accessible online on the offical website. Candidates can log in using their application number and date of birth/password to download their CUET result 2024. The NTA will release the CUET 2024 final answer key prior to the results, allowing candidates to gauge their performance and estimate their scores. Following the result announcement, CUET participating colleges/universities will release the CUET 2024 cut off. The exam was conducted in hybrid mode from May 15 to May 24, 2024. Last year, a substantial number of candidates appeared for the CUET 2023 (UG) exam, indicating continued interest and participation in this competitive entrance examination.

Q:   How are BSc placements at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, placements for undergraduate courses like BA, BCom or BSc are definitely not like placements after graduation in engineering. This is so because it is considered that after engineering majority of the students will look for a job while for other streams of graduations, majority of students may look for doing post graduation in some specialised area. As a result of this it is nightmare to come to conclusion based on this statistics. In the case of DDU under Delhi University the data is not available for different streams of under graduation but this club under single heading called under graduate students. Total number of students place or short of hundred out of about 800 students who pass out. But interesting aspect is that more than two and half times the number of students placed or not even looking for response but see admission for higher studies. Whenever a student who is intending to do BSc most look at this aspect and not get swayed by figures of placements.
To help you understand I am attaching link that will give you an overall picture of placements in this college.

Q:   Is Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College best in Delhi?

A:

Any college's claim to be the "best" in Delhi is arbitrary and based on a number of variables, including extracurricular activities, faculty specialization, facilities, academic programs, and student happiness. With a focus on research and innovation, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is well regarded for its academic standing, particularly in disciplines like the humanities, arts, and sciences. It has a distinguished history, dedicated professors, and a varied student body. Nonetheless, other Delhi colleges, such Hindu College, St. Stephen's College, and Lady Shri Ram College, all perform exceptionally well in many areas and can be ranked "best" according to certain standards. While choosing a college, prospective students should take into account their specific academic interests, professional goals, and school culture.
