Satisfied with studies. Faculty are amazing, infrastructure is good. Not satisfied with the canteen.
Placements: Since this is my 1st year, I can say our placement cell is very active. I think it was my tenth day in college, and our placement cell called the students group-wise to talk to them and keep them motivated. They show statistics of nearly 30 to 40% student got selected. Since I'm CS student, so companies that come are TCS, Wipro, etc. The scene in the internship is totally different, if a student wanted to do intern, he or she could easily find internship from our college. I got daily messages about the new internships that started, submit your details and other stuff. They also show a lot of statistics about students who got their job by placement shell, and believe me they are in good numbers. So, I feel quite secure about getting a job by my college.
Infrastructure: I think infrastructure is good, containing enough space for students to do their job. Wi-Fi connection is amazing providing 20 to 30 Mbps, which is sufficient. The classrooms are well managed with 6 to 8 fans in a class. The labs are also amazing since I'm a CS student, I can only tell about computer lab condition. According to me, computer labs are good, nearly one computer is available for each student. The canteen can be good, but for me, it is tolerable, nothing more than that. Sports equipment is one of the major issues of DU, very basic equipment are there.
Faculty: I think that the faculty of my college (computer science) are just amazing. We got some really qualified teachers, who are very supportive and hard workers. The faculty to students ratio is nearly 1 to 10. The course curriculum is too old that makes me think about my future. The industry exposure is nil, nothing new in it.

Other: Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in DU has the best teachers, labs and infrastructure. Teachers are really helping and make you understand each topic conceptually. Mostly in colleges, teachers do not teach much, but in GGS, Professors are enthusiastic about and really interested in teaching.

    Students also asked

    Q:   Is DU admission open?

    A:

DU admission for 2025 will open soon. Currently, the applications are open for PhD programme till Dec 10, 2024. Admission in Delhi University is based on CUET-UG and CUET-PG scores. Below are the upcoming events for DU admission:

    • The CUET PG registration process 2025 for admission to PG courses is expected to begin during the last week of Dec 2024, tentatively.
    • The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Is Delhi University good for B.Ed?

    A:
    {Source: B.Ed students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what stands out:

    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are considered knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. They are willing to clarify doubts and help students develop their skills.

    * Course Curriculum: The course is designed to make students industry-ready. It covers field observations, school experience programs, and practical training.

    * Placement: About 80% of students get placed easily, with salaries ranging from INR2 LPA to INR5 LPA. Some even receive offers up to INR12 LPA. Internships are also available, with around 60% of students getting selected.

    * Infrastructure: Facilities include modern classrooms, libraries, labs, and hostels. Food is available at reasonable prices (around INR5,000 per month).

    * Scholarships: Some students have received scholarships, making the programme more accessible.

    * College Life: Clubs and events are organized regularly, providing opportunities for socializing and skill-building. However, some areas may need improvement, such as cleanliness and maintenance.

In conclusion, Delhi University's Faculty of Law seems to offer a strong B.Ed program, with dedicated teachers, a relevant curriculum, and decent placement prospects. While there may be areas for improvement, overall, the university appears to provide a solid foundation for students pursuing a career in education.

If you had 50% marks then you can apply. But cut-off for this course is high. Cut-off for this course is above 90% for general category students. For more information regarding admission process, visit Delhi University website.
