Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at ADGITM worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at ADGITM Worth the Investment?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The college has modern infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, libraries, and sports facilities.
* Qualified faculty: Most teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful in nature.
* Relevant curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant, making students industry-ready.
* Decent placements: While placements may not be exceptional, around 60-80% of students get placed, with top packages reaching up to INR15-18 LPA.
* Internship opportunities: Internships are offered to students, providing valuable industry experience.

Cons:

* Placement cell needs improvement: Despite efforts, the placement cell could benefit from further growth.
* Limited hostel options: Unfortunately, the college does not offer hostel facilities, forcing students to find alternative accommodations.
* Variable teacher quality: Not all teachers may be equally effective or supportive.
* Average package: While some students receive high packages, the average package offered is relatively lower.

Overall, while ADGITM has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty, there is room for improvement in certain areas, such as placements and accommodation options. With careful consideration and planning, students can still reap benefits from investing in a B.E./B.Tech programme at ADGITM.

Note: These findings are based solely on the provided student testimonials and alumni feedback. Opinions and experiences may vary.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

ADGIPS is now progressing in IPU's top college list. Placements in several branches have increased.
Placements: I am a student at ADGIPS College in the B.Tech Computer Science branch, graduating in 2027. I will get an internship in 2025 (3rd year). The highest salary package is 44 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 6 LPA. MBA, B.Com, LL.B., and B.Tech are some of courses taught at the college. TCS and Infosys are among the mass recruitment companies that hire many students at decent salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the interior of the classrooms is not well developed. The college has enough funds to improve and modify classroom benches, whiteboards, and air conditioners. Some classrooms do not have projectors. There is no hostel on campus. Some students live outside the college in private hostels. Wi-Fi is installed in every block at high speed.
Faculty: All faculty members hold PhD. degrees and are well-mannered and polite. They work hard in their subjects and are dedicated not only to their subjects but also to other fields. Exams are conducted twice in the college, called semester exams and practical exams. Projects are also held in the college.
Other: There are many societies that help improve circumstances.

Review about ADGIPS IP University.
Placements: Campus placements start in the 7th semester. Many companies recently visited the campus like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Colgate, etc. Students can go to the BBD group also for more or better placements because our college is under the BBD group. The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA by Amazon. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. All students get placements but only some get on-campus placements. Top roles offered in our course are software developer, QA, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: All good experiences till now. The infrastructure is very good. Our classrooms are good but not air-conditioned. There are various societies. I am very passionate about my coding skills and here is a better coding background, so I joined this college. We have well-maintained labs with all working computer systems.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. Semester exams are a bit difficult. The passing mark is 40 so students can easily pass. Faculty members are very understanding and help students with every aspect be it subject or any other matter.
Other: I chose this college because it is a desired course which I want. Our college conducts a main fest named Anugoonj in February. The college fest named Utkash is held in March. The campus life is full of excitement. Various scholarships are also there to help people below the poverty line. Ratio card schemes, PYM schemes, etc., are available.

Bad placements and infrastructure. Good faculty and college life.
Placements: The college doesn’t release official information on how many % of students were placed. The highest package was 48 LPA to a single student by Microsoft, the lowest was 3 LPA to multiple students, and the avg is around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Freecharge, TCS , etc. Internship is not provided by our college, and the top roles offered were of software engineers.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are okay. We don’t get Wi-Fi sadly, and the network connection is bad on top floors where usually final year students study. The labs have internet and okay PCs. The classrooms all have only blackboards and wooden seats, which are not comfortable at all. The library has comfortable seats and ACs that are rarely used. The books are of good standards. The food in the canteen is quite good, and sports and games are only allowed to be played after classes get over, not before that.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. But there is a shortage of teachers in the college for 3rd and 4th year students. The course curriculum is mostly theoretical and doesn’t prepare us for real-world industry requirements. For that, students upskill themselves using YouTube videos or notes. The semester exams are quite easy if you are able to mug up most things. The pass percentage is usually around 80-90%.
Other: I chose this course because I like coding and maths. The best thing is that CSE has higher priority over others like AIML, IT, and Electrical during on-campus placements. I wish to improve the syllabus of the course so that we are taught industry-related subjects and not just theory. We have an annual fest named Utkarsh, and we are also allowed to attend GGSIPU's annual fest Anugoonj, where top artists such as Armaan Malik and Jubin Nautiyal perform.

Really good societies and seniors with high ambitions and many like-minded people.
Placements: The majority of students got placed, but it’s not just about being placed; it’s about where and at what package you were placed. I’m from the B.Tech CSE branch, and here a few companies like Josh offered around 14-15 LPA, which I feel is pretty good for a tier 3 college. The lowest package is around 2 LPA, and the average package for the aforementioned course is about 4 LPA. Airtel and Josh are major top recruiters. The college does not offer any internships or referrals.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in both classrooms and the library, which is equipped with computer systems and internet access. The labs are well-built, containing all the necessary machines, equipment, computer systems, and software. All labs are air-conditioned and equipped with the required tools. Classrooms are nicely built but not air-conditioned. We also have separate lecture halls and smart classrooms. The college does not have any hostel facilities. I would rate the canteen 7 out of 10, considering the taste of the food, space available, and prices. We have multiple libraries for different courses, all well-equipped with books, necessary journals, research papers, and study materials. College societies are quite active in sports, and the college has fair facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, including table tennis, badminton, basketball, football, and volleyball. We can borrow sports equipment, like balls, from the college. We have won many gold medals and other accolades in sports. The college has a sick room with a staff member available at all times. We have a stationery shop that offers all the necessary books and tools at a very reasonable rate. The college has many societies, like GDSC, Geeks for Geeks, The Campus Chronicles, NSS, and E-Cell, that offer a wide range of opportunities in both technical and non-technical domains. We also have societies like Pawsitivity, Enactus, Yakshagna, and Quintessence that provide opportunities in debating, drama, dance, acting, theater, singing, and social work.
Faculty: The teachers are great—knowledgeable, supportive, and patient. They make an effort to complete the syllabus on time and also share notes, practice questions, and previous year papers for help and reference during exams. The curriculum is somewhat outdated, so students need to make extra efforts beyond just attending college to be industry-ready and secure internships. Semester exams are relatively easy, and the pass percentage is set at 40%, which can easily be achieved by focusing on even less than 50% of the syllabus.
Other: The college has a proctorial board that is very active against fighting, bullying, harassment, and any similar issues involving students. ID cards are mandatory in college to prevent any unfortunate incidents. Wearing formal attire every Wednesday is mandatory to help students become comfortable in formal dress, preparing us for the interview process. For third and fourth-year students, the college is lenient regarding attendance to allow them to develop skills and pursue internships. Final-year students receive practice sessions to prepare for interviews. The crowd on campus is generally friendly and safe, thanks to the active proctorial board. Seniors are very approachable and supportive, making it easy to seek their help. College societies actively organize hackathons and various events to help students grow and explore. The locality of the college is a concern, as theft is an everyday problem for students commuting by bus. We also have industrial visits to better understand our course.

Placements at our college need to be improved.
Placements: The placements at our college are average, and there is room for improvement. The highest placement offered in the college is 14 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA. Internships are only given in the 3rd year to students with good academics and attendance.
Infrastructure: The facilities offered by the college include classrooms, computer labs, Wi-Fi, lifts, libraries, etc. Medical facilities are not available in the college. The hostels in our college are in need of renovation, but the food offered is of good quality. Sports coaching facilities are not available.
Faculty: Some of the professors are experienced and knowledgeable. Others are very rude and don't focus on teaching, making it necessary for us to study on our own to pass. Lectures mostly stick to the books, and practical sessions are not available. We need to achieve 40% to pass.

Hey Darshan, JEE marks are not applicable here. Admission is only through counselling based on the rank obtained in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (GGSIPU CET). So apply fast to get in there. Best of luck. Thanks.
