Aspirants have to complete JEE application process to become eligible for admission in a IIT Delhi BTech course. The application process for the national-level exam is carried out via online mode. The step-by-step process to apply is explained below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Delhi. On rhe homepage, click on ‘Admissions’. From the drop-down menu, click on ‘Announcements’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button to proceed further.

Step 3: The registration page opens up. Click on ‘New User Register Here'. Register by entering a few basic details such as name, email ID, contact number, course preference, etc. Also, create a password for logins.

Step 4: Fill out the remaining application form by addressing other details, including guardian info, communication address, qualifications, etc.

Step 5: Upload the required documents in PDF format. Also, upload a passport-size photograph and signature and JPG/JPEG format.

Step 6: Pay the application fee using a debit card/credit card/net banking to submit the application.

Yes, you can get into IIT Delhi with 500 rank. As per the IIT Delhi Cutoff 2024, the last round closing ranks ranged between 116 and 6102 for the General AI category students. There are a few courses available at 500 rank including BTech in CSE and BTech in Mathematics and Computer Engineering.

The duration of IIT Delhi BTech courses is four years. The full-time degree programme is divided into eight semesters. During the BTech course duration, the students have to do compulsory foundation courses in the areas of basic sciences, humanities, engineering sciences, and social sciences along with the departmental core and elective courses. Moreover, IIT Delhi offers internship opportunities to UG students, the duration of short-term internships is 1.5 to 2 months and is 6 months for long-term internships.

Apart from this, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi also offer an integrated BTech and MTech programme. The duration of this dual degree course is five years against the standard duration of both the courses - BTech (four years) and MTech (two years).

The hostels at IIT Delhi are known for their cleanliness, spacious rooms, and well-maintained common areas. Yes, getting BTech admission at IIT Delhi is very tough. IIT Delhi is one of the most prestigious engineering universities in India, and it attracts lakhs of applicants each year. The admission process is highly competitive, and only a selected few students are admitted. To be eligible for BTech admission at IIT Delhi, students must have passed the JEE Advanced entrance exam with a high rank. In 2024, the closing rank for BTech admission at IIT Delhi ranged between 116 - 6102. 

In addition to having a high JEE Advanced rank, students must also meet certain academic requirements to be eligible for BTech admission at IIT Delhi. These requirements include:
