It was a great experience at Dr AIT.
Placements: Salary packages range from 18 Lacs (the highest) to 2.5-3 Lacs (the lowest). Regular recruiters include TCS and Wipro, but the overall quality and quantity of companies could improve. Placements are decent in stable economic times, but recession significantly impacts job prospects.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is pretty old, but ongoing renovation aims to improve facilities. The hostel, while decent, comes with a hefty price tag of ₹90,000 annually. Notable positives include: Good safety record Clean and well-maintained hostel rooms Areas for improvement: Food quality is average Strict curfew for girls at 8 PM.
Faculty: It depends; every semester we have new teachers, so some of the teachers are really interested and experienced in teaching, but some act like they don’t care. The syllabus won’t be completely done (nearly 60-70% will be completed by them, remaining will be allotted to the students as group activity presentations); we’ll have to do the last 1-2 units of the syllabus by ourselves.
Other: We have 2 major fests every year - Kannada Kalarava and Sanskruti, along with respective branch fests, where all students come together to celebrate. Additionally, new clubs will be formed, organizing various fests throughout the year that encourage dancing, sports, and other activities.

Life at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements: The highest package may be 28 Lacs per annum, and the lowest should be 2.5 or 3 LPA. There are few companies like TCS and Wipro that come here often, but not many good companies do, and also, in case of recession, this year's placements are bad. But without recession, I think the placements are okay.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure: Our college is very old, so the building and campus are really old. There are few renovations happening now, and the hostel is also okay. The safety is good, and girls have curfew after 8 PM. Hostel rooms are neat and clean, but the food is okay. I pay 90k every year for the hostel.
Faculty: Every semester we have new teachers, so some of the teachers are really interested and experienced in teaching, but some act like they don't care. The syllabus won't be completely done; we'll have to do 1-2 units of the syllabus by ourselves.
Other: There are new clubs through which we conduct many fests throughout the year where dancing and other activities are appreciated.

Know about DR AIT, Bangalore.
Placements: I'm in my 1st year, and some of my final year roommates told me that 20–30% of students get placed. Out of my 30 friends, 5 have secured placements. In the recent batch, placements have been quite good compared to the average of 4 LPA. The focus here is mainly theoretical.
Infrastructure: The hostel is outdated, as are the Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. The book collection is really poor compared to other colleges; I often borrow books from a friend at a different college. On the bright side, there's a ground for sports, and everyone plays; this aspect is better than in other colleges. However, the food is really bad.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified in subjects like physics, chemistry, and math, but when it comes to practical subjects like programming, IT-related topics, or AI, these teachers seem to know very little. I often wonder how they became teachers. Passing exams is easy; studying the notes is more than enough.
Other: The best thing about this college is that it's government-aided, so the fees are really low. However, both the curriculum and infrastructure are outdated. I would suggest they update themselves as much as possible because they're teaching technology that isn't used in 2024; it feels like they're teaching a syllabus from the 1960s.

Dr. AIT is a pretty good option.
Placements: Between 80% to 100%, students are placed with an average CTC of 7 LPA. The highest package was 30 LPA. 70+ companies visited the campus, among which more than 30 were core companies. 800+ jobs were offered. TCS, Wistron, IBM, Infosys, Amazon, HP, Accenture, and so on are the top recruiters. CSE and ECE students get placed the most.
Infrastructure: Campus is approximately 20 acres, but it feels too small. The playground is also small. Campus infrastructure is moderate with Wi-Fi. Labs and the library are well equipped. The hostel is also good. There are three hostel options for boys, which are Ashoka, Siddhartha, and Aananda Bhavana. Ashoka is more spacious, and the ventilation is too good, hence it is recommended. We have a gym at the hostel. Mess food is also good. We have both options for South Indian-style food or North Indian-style food.
Faculty: All teachers and professors have good knowledge about their respective subjects. They are student-friendly and kind. Since our college is an autonomous college, the management decides the curriculum in such a way that students are industry-ready and relevant to the latest modern emerging technology.
Other: The college lies in the centre of the city, so connectivity is not at all an issue. PGs for men are less in the surroundings, but the college hostel is also good. The campus is greenery and okay but feels a bit small. There are 3 fests every year: 1. Maitri 2. Kalarava 3. Sanskirthi The campus has a good amount of crowd. Sports and extra-curricular activities are highly supported and encouraged.

Since according to last year's cutoffs, you can get into Telecommunication and Industrial Management and hardly mechanical engineering with OBC and your given rank through KCET. Since the cutoff has not fallen down much for KCET, I suggest you to go for other colleges. Best of luck.
