The college is great, but it needs to improve regarding faculty members.
Placements: Good companies visited our college, but only 10 students from our batch applied for placements as a maximum of them had plans to go to the USA for master's or management courses. So according to me, out of those 10, almost 8 students were offered placements through on-campus placements, and the rest two got jobs very easily outside the college.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure that any college can offer in the city. The campus is always clean. It is almost like a five-star hotel. The thing that irritated me was the continuous construction work in the school because of which we had to go to another college for our practicals. But overall, it was great, and when the construction was over, we got the best classrooms, labs and every other facility.
Faculty: Except some of the teachers, the others don't know about the subject they teach. They had no command over their subjects. One of the faculty members failed almost half of the batch for no reason. Viva was conducted very strictly. Faculty members can't teach the students properly. Around 3 teachers are good.
Other: I heard the fests were great, but I haven't attended any fest till now. Campus surroundings are bad.

One of the best MU colleges with great placements.
Placements: There is a placement cell available in our college. As far as chemical engineering is concerned, every student who has excellent scores in academics got placed in core chemical companies. Every year, many non-technical companies also visit our campus and offer great placement opportunities. The highest salary package offered by core companies in chemical engineering is 6.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered by non-technical companies is 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is just amazing. The infrastructure of the canteen is amazing, and even the classrooms are pretty good as compared to other MU colleges. Labs are also well-equipped. The college provides Wi-Fi facility. The college library is a great place to study. Not much sports activities are happening in our college.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members of our college have PhDs from IIT. The college organises industrial visits, so we got some sort of industrial exposure. The course curriculum was according to the MU syllabus, so I can't comment much on the college level. Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful to a decent level.

College is amazing except for 2-3 branches. You will get the best crowd here. No campus environment.
Placements: This year, there is no placement for the chemical branch. 0 placement for 70-75 students. Last year, at least 10 students got placement and 5-6 students got placement in IT related companies. The highest salary is around 3.5-4 lakhs per annum. RIL and Apex solution company visited last time. Only a few company visited the last time. Only 15 students out of 78 students got the internship at RCF Company. There is no stipend, if you're getting in RCF. In most of the placement, students were offered sales related job in the starting.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent here. I would rate 10 out of 10 for the infrastructure at D.J. Sanghvi College. But there is no campus for roaming and chilling out. And also, no playground at all tp play, and the only building over here. But you will get full-time AC facility. Wi-Fi is available, but the connection is very slow and annoying. The classrooms, library and labs are just average, and few are fantastic. There is no such facility for sports and games. The students are playing carrom in girls common room. There is no boys common room here. The quality of classrooms and lab is fantastic here. You can study comfortably in the library. The library is quite cool here. The canteen ambience is just superb, and seats are very soft and comforting. The food is just ordinary and there are no hostel rooms provided for the students.
Faculty: I am really sorry to say, but the chemical branch staff is just pathetic and disgusting except for 2 professors. The chemical department HOD is very serious and authoritative on the students. Even staff, and principal as well. I wish, students should not suffer from this kind of behaviour of HOD. Some professors are helpful, and some are just torturing students. Some are knowledgeable, and some have excellent skills in teaching. The student to faculty ratio is 26:1. No industrial visit since 3 years for the chemical branch. The course curriculum is excellent and meaningful. Might be helpful ahead.
Other: This college is known as GRE factory. 75% of students, every year, students appear for GRE exam. Around 40% students go for masters or MBA abroad. The computer science and IT branch get the highest number of placements. The mechanical and production branch have fantastic student committees. Electronic and telecommunication have one student committee. The chemical and biomedical do not have any of these committees. No cultural, sports activity, no literature groups, nor the musical band. Only, you got to study and study.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Placements for the 2016-2017 batch was really good for fields like computer science, IT, E&TC and elex as compared to chemical, mechanical, production and biomedical. Still, the overall placements for the chemical department as compared to other colleges offering chemical in MU are acceptable. Among interested students, nearly 40-60% of them are placed from the chemical department. In other departments like CS, IT, E&TC and elex, all are placed and at least 50% of them are having 2-3 jobs. The highest salary is 20 LPA, the lowest salary is 3.20 LPA and the average salary is 6.4 LPA. More than 50% got internships from the college. The stipend on an average was 3000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is like a 5-star hotel but there is no ground or campus. The college has an amazing Wi-Fi connection and the libraries having computers. Classrooms are well-equipped with projector and AC. A gym is also available. For outdoor sports and competitions, a JNS ground of the same trust is used. The quality food available is also really nice. Good and hygienic conditions are maintained. Overall, no issues faced related to the infrastructure during my tenure.
Faculty: One of the best faculty members in MU are in D.J.Sanghvi. They do teach and they are qualified as well. They are very much helpful if you want to publish some papers or complete some other non-curricular projects as well. Various teaching methods are used verbal, or through a projector. Not much of Industrial visit opportunities are there but the course curriculum was useful.
Other: Overall, the college crowd, faculty members, course, placements, etc are good. There is an issue regarding the space of the college but every space available is well-used. It is worth studying here and it is one of the best colleges under Mumbai University. The course is well-designed and the location of the college is very close to Juhu.

Great fun, exciting placements and memorable engineering.
Placements: The placements are okay. In the recent batch of chemical engineering, a number of students eligible and interested were 22, out of which 21 students were placed. And for the overall recent batch, the number of students eligible and interested were 405, out of which 385 students were placed. The highest salary offered was 20 LPA, minimum salary offered was 3.25 LPA, average salary offered was 6.4 LPA. Many well-established companies visited, some of them are Oracle, Alpha Grep, BNP Paribas, Nerolac, Morgan Stanley, J P Morgan, Infinite USA, Directi, L & T Infotech, Aspiring Mind, Reliance JIO, Blue Star and many more. Total offers were 541* (* means multiple offers ) and some results are awaited. Total internships offered in 2015-2016 were 205* (* means some of them are 6 months Full-time Inplant Training cum Project). Stipends were not revealed by the placement cell. Though many companies visiting are well established, so stipend is for sure.
Infrastructure: D.J. Sanghvi is well known for its infrastructure. Labs are well equipped. The library is great, the college has a lot of e-books that can be accessed from anywhere. The college has blackboard software ,which makes work very organized and is very helpful. There are common rooms for students to play carrom, table tennis etc. The labs have all the equipment required and classrooms are well furnished. It has projectors, pc,etc. There is a conference room and a gym . There is a well-furnished auditorium. Canteen food is really good and even the canteen looks great. Hostel rooms are very hygienic, and there is a washing machine, refrigerator, utensils rack, oven, induction etc. Only one issue is that there is no play ground.
Faculty: In the first year, professors are really good except for one or two. Many authors of Techmax and Technical are professors in D.J. Sanghvi. Techmax and Technical are the most used publications in Mumbai University. From second year onwards, I would say some are really great and some are above average. For teaching purpose, methods used depending on professors are ppt, group discussions, videos, quiz or traditional blackboard teaching. Student to faculty ratio is 29:1. The college takes us for industrial visits, so we do have good industry exposure. The course curriculum is of Mumbai university and I think it is not very useful.
Other: There are many committees that will help you grow as a good engineer. One of our committees, Skylark represents our country at the international level. Our racing committee has won a lot of competition at the national level. Our street play committees Aura's strike rate is 90%. There is our fest, Trinity which includes a cultural, technical and sports fest. Every year, a lot of paper presentations are done by our students. DJS Helios made a car that runs on solar energy. NSS makes a huge contribution to society by its social work. One of our friends will be a representative in the 15-member Indian contingent to this program in Antarctica on Climate Change Leadership with Robert Swan and 2041 organization. Like this, there are many more committee that will keep you ignited. And I promise. your engineering journey will be memorable.

Your MHTCET percentile is very good enough for getting Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering for B.E. in Chemical Engineering. While chances through the JEE Main are moderate.

It solely depends on the number of students passing or failing in that. The number of students leaving the college which may lead to the vacancy of seats. You can inquire about the seats from the college office for further details. Hope this helps!

Yes, DJ Sanghvi particularly doesn’t have its own hostel. But, since it comes under SVKM, there are many hostel facilities provided by them. You can enquire from their website.
