Q:   Is Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Mumbai Tier 1 or tier 2?

A:

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Mumbai is a Tier 1 Engineering college. It has been consistently ranked in the top 100 engineering colleges in India by various ranking agencies, including the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering, as well as doctoral programmes in select areas. Further, according to student reviews the college has a talented faculty and management, and students are well placed in their careers.

Q:   What are the cutoff marks required for B.Tech at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Mumbai?

A:

There is nothing like the cutoff for private engineering colleges like Giet Gunupur and other similar kinds of colleges throughout the country there are too many seats remaining vacant every year.

If your Jee rank is less than 3 Lakhs then u can easily secure a seat in any of the branches according to your interest through counselling.

But if it is more than 3 Lakhs then it depends upon the demand of the college and the branch.

You can directly contact the college for the seat booking process which is also preferable if u could not do well in the JEE mains. You can take admission in any of the private colleges with this process with or without donation depending upon the availability of the seat. They will insist you make the donation even if there are seats available you just need to keep calm and simply deny and just say in reply you are unable to do so.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   What is the expected JEE Main cutoff 2024?

A:

During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Overall, this college is above average in all perspective.
Placements: The average package offered in this college ranges from 6-7 LPA, with the highest package reported being 20 LPA. Internships start from the 2nd semester and are usually paid, although the compensation is not very high. Almost every student secures an internship, provided they perform their tasks diligently. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Students are given ample opportunities to test their skills.
Infrastructure: The college has an excellent library where students can study and complete assignments. The overall infrastructure is great, but there is no ground for sports. The canteen offers a wide variety of food options at affordable prices. As this college is located in Mumbai, hostels are not available. Students typically live in nearby PG accommodations, with assistance from the college and local agents for finding suitable options.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly skilled, supportive, and well-qualified, with many holding PhDs. They provide excellent teaching and guidance. The courses, along with various programs and workshops, effectively prepare students for the industry. Semester exams are challenging, requiring hard work to score well. The passing percentage is approximately 60-70%.
Other: This course has a promising future, especially with the increasing demand for semiconductors by 2030. It offers flexibility, allowing students to pursue coding or core branches. Scholarships are available, and students can apply for them. The college also organizes several extracurricular activities, including hackathons, gaming events, and more. It is well-connected with two metro stations within a 3 km radius and Andheri Railway Station, which is about 20 minutes away.

It is one of the best colleges.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placed off-campus. The salary packages offered vary according to the marks and skillset of a student. The top recruiting company is TCS. Our seniors haven't been excited to be placed in a good firm.
Infrastructure: Our college is small and congested. It is placed right next to the ocean, so the breeze flows 24X7. Wi-Fi facility is available in the library. It has a low speed and is available for PCs. Classrooms are not good. The food served in the canteen is not good.
Faculty: Our faculty members are helpful and good. The course curriculum is irrelevant. It is not good. Mumbai University needs to change the syllabus and structure of the subjects.
Other: Many fests are held in our college. Our college crowd is good.

Our college provides excellent staff members.
Placements: Almost 85-92% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Siemens, Larson & Tubro, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not available in this college. The food served in the canteen is better. Our college participated in many intercollege activities as well.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They are helpful. All teachers are Ph.D. scholars. They always clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is very interesting as it includes both hardware and software fields. Workshops are conducted. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are difficult but it requires a little bit of practice.

It was very good to be a part of this college and the support was very good from teachers.
Placements: Software developer, python, Java, C+, and all these courses were offered to me but I was interested in a software developer. There were various courses offered by the university during academics. They motivate us a lot and just now, I got placed in 24/7 Intouch.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was good and it was very new. The campus was very good for students to study, chat, eat, etc. All the infrastructure present in the college gave a good look. The mess and canteen provided good and best food for students. Sports activities took place.
Faculty: The exams were not too difficult but it completely depends on the way you take them. They are not too easy also. It depends on the way you understand and the way you clear your semester. The pass percentage was 35%. But you make sure that you get more than 60% because it will help you get placed in good companies.
Other: I was the model of that college and I used to participate in every event.

Our college has good faculty members but there are no good placements.
Placements: Around 10-15% of the students are placed. TCS and Wipro are the top companies visiting the campus. Internships are not offered in our college. College should provide internships for students as it will help in their future as colleges provide. It becomes easy for the student.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available only in the library. Labs, classrooms, and library are spacious. The quality of food served in our college canteen is average. There is no scope for sports in our college as college doesn't support much. Medical facility is also there in our college there is also a restroom.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. It doesn't make students industry-ready. It is a bit difficult to pass but still 80%-90% of the students' pass. The teaching quality is excellent. Languages like Java, C, Python, C+ should be added to our course.
