It is one of the best private engineering colleges in Kerala.
Placements: Many reputed companies visit our campus to offer placements. Students in computer science, electronic and electrical fields have better scope comparatively. Since the college is owned by Federal Bank, it also provides jobs to students in the bank. The college offers 70% placements. Salaries offered are ranging from Rs.25,000 to 1 lac per month. The placement cell is good. Many companies, like Infosys, Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, Shobha Developers, Federal Bank, etc., visited our campus for placements.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The campus has a clean and green environment as it located away from the city. The college has well-equipped labs for every stream. Girls' and boys' hostels are available within the campus. Food served in the canteen is healthy for day scholars. The hostel has a mess that provides 3 meals per day with evening tea. The college also provides sports facilities like football court, basketball court, cricket court, volleyball court and badminton court. There are 3 auditoriums, and 2 of them are equipped with A/Cs. Classrooms are large, clean and equipped with projectors.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Faculty members are very helpful, well-qualified, and many of them are from IITs. The college organises regular visits to different factories for students to get exposure. The course curriculum is good. It is neither very easy and nor very tough. Teachers complete the syllabus on time.
Other: Every year, the college organises sports events. It also organises fests like cultural and arts fest, tech fest etc. The college conducts various intercollege competitions as well.

Good placements, good infrastructure.
Placements: Last year, there was a 60% placement rate for the department. The highest package was 8 lakh per year, with packages ranging from 3 to 8 lakh. Placement training begins from the 5th semester, including aptitude and interview preparedness.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good on the college campus but poor in the hostel. Classrooms are good, and the library is also well-maintained; we used to study there during exam time. Hostel facilities are good, and the food is better compared to other colleges. However, hostel timings are strict and differ for boys and girls. The hostel rent is 10,500, and the mess fee is 145 per day.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, friendly, and helpful. The curriculum covers the basics of civil engineering and its real-world applications. Semester exams, conducted by KTU, are difficult, and evaluation is tough, mainly due to university standards.

The best self financing engineering college in Kerala.
Placements: The placement cell of the institute is very active under the leadership of Mr Unni Kartha and Mr Bejoy Varghese to ensure cent percent placement for the outgoing students. Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services, SAP Labs, Ruby vision, Indian Navy, MRF are the giants among the recruiters for my senior batches. Although my batch was the first Civil engineering students to pass out from the college, American Tower Corporation absorbed two of us as deployment engineers - civil. Moreover, FISAT is the venue for many pool drives conducted by various companies. The highest salary offered was 15 Lacs PA, and the Institute assures a minimum pay of 2.4 Lacs PA at an average of about 7 Lacs PA. A student got the precious opportunity to have an internship with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The campus recruitments take place at the end of every academic year regularly.
Infrastructure: Every classroom is a smart classroom with LCD projector and microphone. The students can access the Wi-Fi networks. Five computer labs equipped with around 700 desktop computers. The mechanical and civil engineering laboratories equipped with all the required machinery and apparatuses as per the syllabi. The library is one of the best available which houses around two lakh books including reference books for all the branches and a great collection of recreational books. There are separate hostels for ladies and men within which there are distinct rooms for graduate and postgraduate students. The hostel rooms and classrooms are well-maintained. Every nook and corner is swept and washed twice daily - before and after the class hours. I had a great experience studying here. There are different clubs for sports, arts and games.
Faculty: All the teachers of the college are eligible as per the AICTE norms. Most of them have PhD in their respective fields of study. The students can seek the help of the tutors regardless the time and day. Every teacher makes use of the interactive method of teaching to make the system transparent. The teachers themselves take the initiative to conduct industrial visits and training. The course curriculum is very useful.
Other: The student union organises Intra college technical festival and arts festival annually, as well as intercollegiate festival once in three years. The college is located about ten kilometres from the Angamaly town surrounded by rubber plantation. The national highway and railway station are available at 8 Kms and 11kms respectively. 50 to 100% fee waiver to the students who are ranked top in the Kerala engineering entrance test.

Overall, good facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: In the civil batch, above 65% of students get placed each year. Fisat plays a leading role in student placement. Not just in my branch, students in each of the B.Tech courses get a high-paid job and get placed in major multinational companies. One of our seniors took part in the 'vandhebharath' mission.
Infrastructure: The college mess and canteen provide good quality food, whether vegetarian or nonvegetarian. And infrastructure provides good environment for the students, including technical labs, wide library, fab lab, etc. Not just academics but also sports and games are given huge support.
Faculty: We have the best teachers; their mode of teaching plays a major role in the performance of each student. This course curriculum makes the student industry relevant. The semester exams are moderately difficult. That gives a 50% pass percentage. Teachers are so that we could approach them at any time.
Other: The college conducts arts and sports annually. And a college arts fest, BHARATHAM, is conducted once every two years.

Q:   Are admissions at Federal Institute of Science and Technology entrance-based or merit-based?

A:

Yes, entrance-based admissions are the main criteria for B.Tech programs, as passing JEE Main or comparable national/state exams is required. Merit and admissions chances are determined by rank on these tests.
Prior to being admitted, students must take and pass national engineering admission exams such as JEE Main. The institute determines the qualifying cut-off scores. Therefore, passing the eligibility test for admission is crucial.
After that, admissions are determined by the entrance exam results' All India ranking. Only the students' JEE Main merit rankings are used to fill seats.

In addition to admission ranking, the 12th standard percentage may also be taken into consideration for seats under reserved quota or at the institute level. However, the determining factor for the majority of seats is entrance exam merit.
