Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology from a student who is currently studying in it.
Placements: Currently, I am in the third year. No internship opportunity is provided to the students. On average (according to seniors who are already placed), about 30-50% of students get placed from the college. The highest package offered in 2024 is 18 LPA, the lowest I think is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. Mostly small companies are currently coming to the college, but big companies like Autodesk and Infosys also come. No student gets the internship opportunity until the third year. Mostly, the companies are in web development, and some are in sales.
Infrastructure: I study in the Information Technology branch, and I am currently in the third year. All the teachers I have are amazing and skilled; they have in-depth knowledge about their subjects (some teachers are an exception, as they are here only for money, not for teaching). I can say 7/10 teachers are amazing and have good knowledge and command of their subjects. Wi-Fi is provided in the labs and library, but not in the classes.
Faculty: As a student of the Information Technology branch, I can say all the teachers I have met are amazing and skilled. They have in-depth knowledge about their subjects (some teachers are an exception, as they are here only for money, not for teaching). I can say 7/10 teachers are amazing and have good knowledge and command of their subjects.
Other: Life at Galgotias College is good. The campus is very beautiful, and the environment is also amazing. Here, students have interests in different areas, which makes it a good place for learning and exploring multiple things in college life. Every department has its own clubs, and some clubs work as a whole for the college.

Not a very high-tier college, but yes, a good college. The culture of the college is too good.
Placements: Approximately 90 percent of students are placed but at very low packages. Only a few get high packages. But for good placements, you should improve your own skills and not totally depend on the college. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Jubilant, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is so good. Classrooms, labs, and everything on the college campus are good. Sports and games are also good. The canteens are also very good. Medical facilities are also available. Classrooms are digitized, and you never feel any pressure from the college for work.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in the college. Semester exams are of moderate level. If you study 1 week before the exam, you will get good marks. There is a 75 percent attendance criterion for the exam. If you get 43 percent in the exam, you pass the exam.
Other: I like the environment of the campus. Many extracurricular activities are there.

In other private colleges, I think GCET is much more affordable and its placement is average.
Placements: I am an IT department student, and they will get the opportunities if I have proper skills. We will get a salary package of 3 LPA, or it could be more than 10 LPA if we have the skills. If we have the right skills, it will be easy to find a job. Most of the students get placed with an average salary package of 3 LPA-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. It has labs with all the required equipment, a library, Wi-Fi, and air conditioners. Hostels are good, but students have to apply for them before admission, otherwise, students will not get any seats. It has a mess, sports facilities, games, and more. The food quality of the mess is average.
Faculty: Teachers are good and coordinating. The exam schedule is a little bit hectic. The course curriculum is relevant, but of course, students have to study further to make themselves industry-ready. Semester exams are not that tough if we study, but we don't get satisfied with the paper checking, as it is strict.

Review of infrastructure and career opportunities at Galgotias.
Placements: The placement of Galgotias is awesome . In batches of 2024 and 2025, 95 percent of students are there, and everyone has an offer . The highest package was thirty-nine lakhs for this college and the average package is approximately seven lakhs for computer science and its students. Software developers and full-stack developer roles were mostly offered.
Infrastructure: Galgotias College has spacious and clean class rooms. Ventilation is good, classrooms have projectors and smart classrooms are present. Computer labs are connected with high-speed Ethernets and electronic labs with the latest equipment and a mechanical workshop also. The GCET library is stocked with books, journals and e-books also. We also have access to digital libraries and e-learning platforms.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and helpful . When we asked doubt, they cleared our doubt and they are well qualified. Everyone has a PhD degree, and some of them have done their masters from IITs. Most of them have their research papers published. The pass percentage in college was good and most of them have passed with good marks.

Galgotias College and engineering is all about serious guys.
Placements: In the branch, only students with a CGPA of 7 or above were allowed in placements. Around 60% of students are eligible for placements. The highest salary package was 21 LPA by Infosys, the average salary package was around 5.5 LPA LPA, and the lowest salary package was 3 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, Oracle, American Express, and Tata Consultancy. To my knowledge, only four students did internships and they were off-campus.
Infrastructure: Facilities are just satisfactory, not very extraordinary, but we can make use of them. In classrooms, the benches are comfortable, but there should be a tiered seating arrangement so students at the back can see the board clearly. The fans work properly, but the air conditioning never works. The college has Wi-Fi, but it is only for faculty members and management, personal internet often stops working on campus. College hostels are generally hygienic, but they can be dirty at times, and washrooms are cleaned only once a day. The mess food is really bad. Sports events do happen, but there are no proper facilities or grounds for them.
Faculty: Mostly Teachers are very helpful and good but some teachers are rude and talk in a language that is just irritating. Course Curriculum is very relevant to jobs and learning purposes too. And helps students to get placed in good companies, if we wanna join Galgotias College. If they don't have better options like government colleges .
Other: I chose this course, so I can be surrounding by an intelligent people but it's not the reality, the reality is most people here are doing cig, Drinking habits, and weed, There is the good thing about my course is if students want to study honesty they can be the highest salary package but by just studying 2 to 3 hours daily. There is a yearly fest organised that is university fest and there are a lot of events all over the year. Connectivity is very good for Galgotias College because only 250 m away metro station is there that is knowledge park 2 metro.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for MBA/PGDM at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology?

A:
{Source: MBA/PGDM students & alumni}

Course Curriculum Structuring for MBA/PGDM at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology

The course curriculum at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) for MBA/PGDM has been structured to provide students with a solid foundation in business administration. Here's what we've gathered from the students' and alumni's reviews:

* Relevant Coursework: The course curriculum is considered relevant to the industry, providing students with a sound understanding of business principles and practices.
* Lack of Practical Knowledge: However, several students felt that the course lacked practical knowledge, making it essential for students to supplement their theoretical learning with self-study or extracurricular activities.
* Industry-oriented Teaching: Faculty members focus on providing industry-oriented teachings, preparing students for real-world challenges. They also assign projects and case studies to enhance hands-on experience.

While the course curriculum may require improvement in terms of practical application, GCET seems to be moving in the right direction by incorporating industry-focused teaching methods. Students seeking a balanced blend of theory and practice may benefit from actively pursuing additional resources outside of the classroom.
