Is Godavari College Of Engineering (GCOE) good for B.E./B.Tech?

Here's a summary of what existing students and alumni have to say:

Pros:

* Good faculty: Many students appreciate the teaching style and qualifications of the professors. They are considered knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive.
* Industry exposure: GCOE offers various industrial visits, internships, and projects, which helps students gain hands-on experience and prepares them for the industry.
* Placement record: While it may not be exceptional, the college has a reasonable placement record, with companies like TCS, Byju's, Capgemini, and Infotech visiting the campus.
* Campus amenities: The college has modern facilities, including Wi-Fi connectivity, a library, canteen, sports facilities, and a playground.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Currently, there's only one girls' hostel, and the college lacks a boys' hostel.
* Average infrastructure: Although the campus is well-maintained, some students feel that the infrastructure is average compared to other colleges.
* Food quality concerns: Some students have mentioned that the canteen food is not great.
* Placement process: A few students have expressed disappointment with the placement process, stating that it needs improvement.

Overall, while GCOE has its strengths, such as good faculty and industry exposure, it also faces challenges in terms of limited hostel facilities and average infrastructure. However, the college seems to be working towards improving these areas, and its placement record is relatively reasonable.

Remember that individual experiences may vary depending on several factors, including personal preferences and academic performance. We recommend researching thoroughly and weighing the pros and cons before making an informed decision about pursuing B.E./B.Tech at GCOE.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Infrastructure is good, and teaching staff members are well-knowledgeable and helpful.
Placements: Now I am in the final year, and until now, none of the students got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Lot's of internship chances are available for students. The salary package depends on the industry and the type of organisations that hire you. Infosys offered a minimum salary package of 3.6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good. The hostel is not available for boys. Our college TPO training and placement officer are always working for campus and job opportunities for students.
Faculty: Our college staff members are very good and helpful. Theoretical knowledge is not sufficient, so the industry does not accept students for the top role. Still, the industry accepts fresher students as a trainee. Engineering is already one of the difficult courses in the world. Still, in our college, the passing percentage is 90%. All faculty members and teaching staff members are well-knowledgeable and helpful. They give useful guidance to the students.
Other: I like machines, so I have chosen to grow my career in mechanical engineering. Practical knowledge is not sufficient, and I think business-related subjects must be added to the syllabus. Everything else is good.

Godavari College of engineering, Jalgaon, it has good placements in the year of 2015.
Placements: Around, 10% of the students were placed in MNC, some were doing design course for the better CTC and rest are preparing for the civil service. The people here are cheerful, and they always motivate us. The highest salary offered was 3 to 4 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure was good. The environment was free from the pollution. There was greenery, and the facility, i.e. Wi-Fi, canteen, and the hostels are also available. The sports teacher always tries to motivate us and join us on the sports field to make fitness and to get the sports field knowledge. Those who don't know, they also get the chance to get the exposure in sports like hockey, cricket, and volleyball.
Faculty: Well-qualified teachers were there. The teaching quality was good. We get to expose thermal power station in Deep Nagar. The strength of the students was 120 in mechanical engineering, 120 in computer engineering and 120 in electronic engineering. We also got the exposure of Raymond industry which is located in the Jalgaon where the actual and theoretical knowledge was compared and taught to make the concept clear.

The college has good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement in our college is just for namesake, only 2 or 3 are placed. At the time when I have joined campus, I have seen Only small-scale industries which came to recruit the students, but they are all so taking the students under the condition of bonding. Overall from my view, the placement is not satisfying.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility and labs are available, but sometimes the Wi-Fi facility will not work. The classrooms are not good. The library, medical facilities, sports and games are quite good. The infrastructure is very good. There is a big playground. Some facilities like drinking water, clean campus etc., are good. The college is improving a lot.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very good, but I think the college should recruit some talented teachers not by just seeing the higher degree. Some teachers have a lot of knowledge, but they are not able to convey share the knowledge. There is a full effort of college to complete the course, but most of the time only 3/5 units are covered.
Other: The events are quite good. Such as Phoniex and gathering events.
