I am satisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: The college provides very few placements for M.Tech students. Hardly one or two students get placed if any company visits the campus. The average salary package of 3.4 LPA was offered to my senior by L&T Infotech. None of the companies visited the campus for recruitment during my tenure. I was offered a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month as I have cleared the GATE exam.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of our college is average. Labs, classrooms and library are good. Games like cricket, football, badminton, kho-kho, and volleyball are played in the college. Quality of food served in the canteen is not much good. The parking facility is not proper as there is no shed to cover vehicles during rains.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable to provide guidance. Quality of teaching is good. They use models to explain the concepts properly which is very effective. We have visited a bridge which was under construction as an industrial tour. The course curriculum is very useful for students.

I am very much happy with college due to teachers and other facilities provided to us.
Placements: Yes, last year my senior was placed in TCS company their package is about 3.5 lack pa and 1-year bond agreement This current year in 2018 final year students was placed in Reliance company. They offered package is 4 LPA and almost 10 percent of total students were placed successfully.
Infrastructure: For M.Tech students, the college will offer very good computer lab which is having a strong broadband connection also Wi-FI connection for the students. Also, AC is provided in the lab and drinking water. Classrooms facility is very good by providing sufficient workplace.
Faculty: All Teachers are highly qualified and they have very good knowledge. They are giving very good practical knowledge which is so much useful for students. They conduct site visit time to time with faculty members. Teaching quality is very good and giving practical examples.
Other: All festivals will be celebrated in college.

Good faculty, facilities and also nice environment.
Placements: There are only 4 to 5 companies come here for the campus recruitment. And only a few students get the job through the companies. The students who get recruited in these companies get a minimum package of 3 LPA. Also, the students with the grade above 6.5 percentile and no backlogs are eligible for the campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but as it is an old college, it is not as good as the colleges we see these days. Few buildings of a few departments have been renovated. The infrastructure like labs are good, and the equipment used for the practicals are also good. The campus provides Wi-Fi with high-speed, but it is only in labs. The classrooms are good and have better seating arrangements. There is a huge ground for sports and games, and every year there is an event organised for sports also. There are also good hostel facilities for both boys and girls, and three students are there in one room. But there is no hostel for boys perusing PG. Other than this, all the things are good.
Faculty: The faculty were too good. They also had a good experience. The teaching method they used was easy to adapt and hence the things they teach were easy to understand. They also used to tell us about their experience in the field to relate us to the topic and to make the topic easy to understand. They also took us to the field to make sure we get to know the problems which occurred in the field. Also, the site visit was useful to get to know the process in which the work is done, and then the report was also asked about the site visit, to know how much do we understand the topic. There are at least two teachers for one subject. Also, the batches are divided into 20 students so that proper attention can be given to students. The teachers are also helpful to each of the student.

It is a best autonomous college for B.Tech.
Placements: I have got placed in the Precision Precast solution after completion of M.Tech because of my hard work and my teachers of GCOEA who prepared me as a structural engineer. The companies visiting GCOEA are TATA Motors, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi on the campus is good, classrooms are good. The labs of all courses are well-maintained, and the infrastructure is old. The library of GCOEA is big and with almost all books available with free Wi-Fi, separate computer for a student with much more space for studying. The college organises GCOEA organises sports and games competitions, technical as well as other events and guest lectures.
Faculty: All the faculty of all the courses are good in teaching and helpful to the students, with industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful for industrial knowledge to solve the technical issues. They teach the theory on PPT and give some practical example. The faculty of GCOEA is well-qualified in PhD and M.Tech graduate. The faculty is more interested in interacting to solve student's problems, and they are very helpful.

Other: The educational system here is very good. The placement for the institute is very well managed and stands at a good level. Recently, the authorities have made a few modifications in the college campus area. The only drawback that I can point out is the faculty. There are many good faculty members too, but being a government institute they don't find time to conduct the lectures and most of the teaching load for B.Tech is given to M.Tech students. Overall, I will rate the institute at least 4 out of 5.

Q:   Is Government College of Engineering Amravati Tier 1 or Tier 2?

A:

Government College of Engineering Amravati is considered an elite class II government engineering college with a great reputation across the state, especially in Maharashtra. Though they have not gained the same status of national recognition that Tier 1 institutions like IITs or NITs enjoy, such institutes remain good places of learning with decent placement records for all sorts of engineering disciplines.

Facilities, teaching expertise, and government support also adorn the college. Still, it cannot win a Top Engineering Colleges of India rank for itself typically, but that certainly gets it into Tier 2.
