Placements: If you are coming for a job, then it is not a good option. Because most of the students choose to study further and do a Ph.D. in their specific subject. Since students do not choose jobs, placement cells are not that developed.

Placements: IISER Kolkata is offering multiple placements and internship opportunities to students every year. Students are getting handsome salary packages, averaging about 7-12 LPA. Most students secure placements in space research institutes. The college provides proper placement training to the students.

Placements: The institute is meant for students who are interested in research; there is no placement. Like, very few students sit for placements. Generally, students prefer that Ph.D. internships are not in companies; you will intern in some professors labs, which you have to find ourselves.

Placements: Not many people get placed in our college; in our college, people getting a Ph.D. are more preferred. Only 4 people were placed with an average package of 11 LPA in Deloitte and TCS. Almost every student gets internships here under different professors.

Placements: IISER is not made for placement purpose. We have a placement department but still students prefer research over job so many of our seniors got admitted to very prestigious universities for Ph.D. but if you want to come here to get a dream job, then it's not your cup of tea.

Placements: This course is about basic sciences, which limits the scope for jobs, and only 10% of students got placed. The salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA. This course gives a good opportunity to go for higher studies abroad in India. It is good for students who have a huge interest in research.

Placements: Students who scored a CGPA of 8.5 or above should get a chance to apply for a junior scientist in foreign or can get a chance for an internship in renowned institutes like IIT or IISc. Salary packages are not offered as IISER don't have any campus placements. However, if students can get a chance in a good institute as a researcher, then they can get more than one good offer. Mostly, students go to Germany for research. I am not sure what percentage of students got internships, but almost 80%-85...

Placements: Being a research-oriented institute, students passing out each year tend to go for pursuing higher education like PhD in various foreign universities rather than joining a company or job. People get posted in various laboratories in some of the cases.

Placements: The main aim of the establishment of IISER was to guide students so that they can build a career in research. Most of the students from a batch opt for PhD after completing a BSMS degree. However, IISER K has a separate placement cell, and it organises placements for the interested students. Moreover, I would like to suggest you to join IISER if you are really interested in research.

Placements: There are no such Placement cells in the institute. Students after completing their Masters prefer to pursue Ph.D. or some other jobs outside. Mostly all the students prefer to do summer/winter internships at different institutes and try to make new research papers. IISER Kolkata greatly supports the students by encouraging in the research area and making aware of new opportunities.

Placements: Placements in the college are few as most students opt for higher studies. Few companies like ITC Infotech, TCS, etc., visit the campus for placements. The placement cell is increasing its base and hopefully, it will be able to invite more R&D companies. Chemistry branch has good placements, and many companies visit the campus for placements.

Placements: The main aim of IISER is to promote research in basic sciences, and as such, most of the students opt for higher education like PhD and others. After the completion of their BS-MS degree, they would eventually strive to join academia or a research institute to carry out high-quality research.
