Placements: There is no such placement opportunity here. Being a research institute, it actually not supposed to provide placements to their students. Yes, you can apply for better Ph.D. opportunities, which will provide you stipend. Although, the institute has an underdeveloped cell which may help you for placements in further years.
Placements: If you are looking for placements, then it is not a place for you, Here students mailny focus on research, then Ph.D. Although there are placements in college, not as many as IIT. Students do Ph.Ds abroad or in India and get a stipend. Many students preferred doing Ph.D. from abroad.
Placements: In IISERs, students are encouraged to become scientists; hence, many students go for a Ph.D. in their respective topic of interest. Therefore, we can't expect any kind of placement from here but students get selected for Ph.D.s at top universities abroad or in India as well.
Placements: If you are coming for a job, then it is not a good option. Because most of the students choose to study further and do a Ph.D. in their specific subject. Since students do not choose jobs, placement cells are not that developed.
Placements: IISER Kolkata is offering multiple placements and internship opportunities to students every year. Students are getting handsome salary packages, averaging about 7-12 LPA. Most students secure placements in space research institutes. The college provides proper placement training to the students.
Placements: The institute is meant for students who are interested in research; there is no placement. Like, very few students sit for placements. Generally, students prefer that Ph.D. internships are not in companies; you will intern in some professors labs, which you have to find ourselves.
Placements: As an undergraduate student, I know less about the placements. But my goal is to complete the BSMS course and get a Ph.D. offer from a good university. Because even if the college has placements, the package is not so much. On average, you can get 6 to 7 LPA. And very few students are offered, actually. The roles are mainly researcher and teacher. Internship opportunities are easily available. But you've got to work for it; email the professors again and again. I haven't applied or am willing to...
Placements: IISER Kolkata is not meant for placements; it's meant for those students who are highly interested in science and passionate about pursuing research as a career or in academia and working as scientists in various world-renowned laboratories. But we do have a placement cell, which is growing every year and some pharmaceutical companies do visit our campus for placements. Especially the DCS & DES students opt for placements but note the numbers are very low as people here prefer to go for higher s...
Placements: People at IISER Kolkata don't really go for placement as they are more interested in research. For this reason, there are very few placements at IISER Kolkata and the number of people who take placement here is very low—around 10 percent with an average package of 15 LPA.
Placements: Not many people get placed in our college; in our college, people getting a Ph.D. are more preferred. Only 4 people were placed with an average package of 11 LPA in Deloitte and TCS. Almost every student gets internships here under different professors.
Placements: Many students opt for higher studies. They pursue Ph.D. abroad. The remaining students prepare for civil services and other exams. It is a premium institute, and internships are also offered in this course.
Placements: IISER is not made for placement purpose. We have a placement department but still students prefer research over job so many of our seniors got admitted to very prestigious universities for Ph.D. but if you want to come here to get a dream job, then it's not your cup of tea.
Placements: As this is a research institute, it gives good opportunities for higher studies like Ph.D in India and abroad but not for placements. Students can get placements if they are from DMS. Our college is a good place for students interested in research because they get hands-on experience from various labs.
Placements: This course is about basic sciences, which limits the scope for jobs, and only 10% of students got placed. The salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA. This course gives a good opportunity to go for higher studies abroad in India. It is good for students who have a huge interest in research.
Placements: From the whole batch, around 10-15% of students get placed in good companies. Most of the students who get placed are from the department of chemical sciences or department of biological sciences. Out of the very few who opt for jobs rather than higher studies or civil services, most of them get placed in well-off companies with a good package. This is before the establishment of the placements cell, with the founding of the placements cell recently, and the great tie-ups, placements, and packag...
Placements: Students who scored a CGPA of 8.5 or above should get a chance to apply for a junior scientist in foreign or can get a chance for an internship in renowned institutes like IIT or IISc. Salary packages are not offered as IISER don't have any campus placements. However, if students can get a chance in a good institute as a researcher, then they can get more than one good offer. Mostly, students go to Germany for research. I am not sure what percentage of students got internships, but almost 80%-85...
Placements: Being a research-oriented institute, students passing out each year tend to go for pursuing higher education like PhD in various foreign universities rather than joining a company or job. People get posted in various laboratories in some of the cases.
Placements: The main aim of the establishment of IISER was to guide students so that they can build a career in research. Most of the students from a batch opt for PhD after completing a BSMS degree. However, IISER K has a separate placement cell, and it organises placements for the interested students. Moreover, I would like to suggest you to join IISER if you are really interested in research.
