For 2023, cut off was 3258 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Dhanbad (ISM). No, IIT Dhanbad BTech admission is strictly entrance based. Admission to IIT Dhanbad BTech is allotted on the basis of candidates' performance in JEE Main exam, candidates who qualify IIT Dhabad JEE Main cutoff are then required to appear for JEE Advance followed by  the counselling round conducted by JoSAA. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. The Last Round cutoff for IIT BHU was 1071 for CSE, which is very low as compared to IIT Dhanbad's CSE cutoff 3846 for general AI category students.
