BIT Sindri, formerly the Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri, began as a subsidiary of Ranchi College. It later became the affiliated engineering college of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh, and is now affiliated with the Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi—so degrees are awarded by JUT. BIT Sindri offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs, with durations that vary by course. Admissions to all programs at BIT Sindri Dhanbad are based on entrance exams.
JEE Main scores are taken by the institute in admitting to BTech and Mtech admissions are done through institute entrance test and GATE scores. Overall, the return on investment is very solid.
Placements: Placement is decent enough, hitting a percentage of 93% with good companies. Companies offer a good package of an average of 8 LPA. The top role as manager is offered. Internships are pretty much good for core branches, while for circuital branches, they also offer good opportunities.
Infrastructure: First-year hostels are recently built, while the second year onwards, hostels are old, but the mess food is decent enough. There is no Wi-Fi connection from the college side. You can have yours. There are 2 grounds available near college hostels with good sports facilities.
Faculty: All teachers are good, while the faculty members are very experienced and knowledgeable. Faculty members do help us in projects and are very cooperative. The curriculum is followed as per J U T with 2 mid-sems in each semester. Labs are very efficient, which makes students industry-ready.
Other: My course offers good placements and a good working environment.

Placements: The percentage of students who are placed in some company - 92%
the highest package for this branch -18 LPA
the lowest package for this branch - 4 LPA
Top companies - adani, aditya birla, JMS, L&T
Top roles -Mine manager, district magistrate officer for Mining, CMD.
Infrastructure: There are labs, lecture rooms, library in campus and they are in not so good conditions. Wi-Fi is there if u purchase it. Mess is private so it gives variety but not good food. Canteen is there in the distance. Medical facilities are not that good, sports and games too.
Faculty: Exams are conducted frequently, but teachers are only interested in completing the syllabus. The relevance of the syllabus is questionable. You have to study for yourself. It's not difficult to pass the semester if you study regularly. Almost 98% of students pass the semester exam.
Other: This subject is very good for the GATE exam. The improvements that I want are to improve the quality of education and make students industry-ready. More events should be conducted, like the (GJMIC) branch event.

They have good knowledge, and their behaviour is good.
Placements: 50% of the students were placed, with 16 LPA as the highest and the lowest being 5 LPA. L&T and the Birla Group of Companies are the top recruiting companies, and they come each year to place students in the company. I am feeling very well.
Infrastructure: All available facilities are good. Classrooms are well-maintained. Wi-Fi speed is also first-class. Medical facilities are not too good. The canteen staff's behaviour is good, and various sports are available in our college, such as volleyball and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and well-qualified. The teaching quality of our teachers is very good because they all studied at IIT. The semester exams were very hard in our college, and the passing marks in each subject were in the 33rd percentile.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to be a good civil engineer.

BIT Sindri is spread across 400 acre of land. The institute has over one lakh textbooks and various other reference books of several disciplines namely Science, Engineering, and Technology.
