Yes, GATE 2023 exam dates (which will be valid for admission to the academic year 2024-25) have been announced. IISc Bangalore will conduct the GATE exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The GATE application form will release on Aug 24 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE is IISc Bangalore. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Students will be required to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). The GATE syllabus is based on General Aptitude and Core Discipline, carrying a weightage of 15% and 85% respectively.

All applications for IIT Gandhinagar M.Tech programme must be submitted  online. Candidates willing to apply for more than one specialisation must submit separate application forms for each specialisation. After the successful submission of the application form, students will receive an application number and a link to download the application form. Save the application form, fill it and furnish the hard copy of this application form and self-attested copies of all the relevant documents during the interview. Incomplete applications are subject to rejection. The application fee is  INR 850 for SC/ ST/ PwD Category) and INR 1,700 for other category students. Students applying via GATE must also apply for the GATE exam. A step-by-step process of GATE application is as follows:

1. Visit the official website of GATE and register.
2. Fill the application form with relevant personal, educational, and other details in the empty fields. 
3. Upload the required documents in the right size and format.
4. Pay the GATE application fee through a convenient online payment mode.
5. Accept the declaration and click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application process.

The median salary for 2022 as per the NIRF report of 2023 stood at INR 11.1 lakh. Yes, non-GATE candidates must appear for the institute level entrance test. However, all candidates are required to appear for the PI round for final selection. In addition to this, BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/ CPI of 8.0 or above (on a scale of 10) are eligible to get admission to M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar without GATE. Other than GATE or the criteria state above, candidates are required to be a pass in BE/ BTech/ MSc or equivalent in appropriate branches with a minimum of 55% aggregate or 5.5 on a 10-point scale (50% aggregate for SC /ST).

So, considering the round 1 cutoff, candidates seeking admission to Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar must secure a maximum rank upto 10165.
