Placements: There are no eyebrows raised if you aspire to get placed from an institute of this stature. All those willing to get placed are placed from my and my senior's batch. Academics: - IIT Kanpur is known for research and academics. Some of the departments held rank below 100 in QS world subject-wise ranking. Placements: The procedure for placement is pretty simple. The placement team is usually very cooperative to help you get into the company that you need. For my batch which sat for placements in December 2015, there was around 77% placement in the first phase (one month in December).
