Great college. This is considered by many as the best in education and capabilities of teaching staff, even among other IITs. It has good hostels, great sports facilities and an amazing campus. I feel IITK is a pioneer institute and a home away from home. The campus is one of the best and most well-kept campuses I have seen so far. The security is very strong and the behaviour of the guards is very courteous. The facilities are many, ranging from an Olympic sized swimming pool to an Airstrip. IIT Kanpur has a world class infrastructure and teaching facilities (library, fully centralised A/C conference halls, classrooms and analytical labs for experiments). Academic block and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled with the fastest internet speed in India. Placements: Nearly 80% of student got placed in our batch, the highest package is 1.23 crores from jane street named trading firm, the lowest is 0 as usual, avg is 26 lac which is quite good, top recruiters are google microsoft amzn flkpt etc. Nearly 40% of students got intern in their third year, top roles offered are software engineers and data anylysts.

Placements: I recently passed out from IIT Kanpur, and almost 99% of students got placement in my course. The average package is 20 lakh. All big companies come in the last year. Now, I am a software engineer in America in a company that gives me a 60 lakh package.
