Very good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: The percentage of the students who were placed in my course or department was 80 percent. The highest package was 18 lacs, the average package was 12 lacs, and the lowest package was 6.5 lacs. The top recruiting companies were Wipro, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very satisfying. The classrooms and labs are comfortable and clean. A well-stocked library is available. The hostel rooms are satisfactory, and the overall infrastructure is also good. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are very skilled and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent, and all the faculty and college staff are very cooperative with the students. Teachers are very helpful and provide enough resources for study. The semester exams are difficult.

Good placements in 2022, good culture, and facilities were on top.
Placements: Hi, studying at a top institute is a dream for every child. In India, the top government-funded universities are IITs. I am very happy to be a part of IIT. I am very happy to be part of this institute. Placements are provided to all undergraduate students at Kharagpur.
Infrastructure: In kgp, Wi-Fi facilities are good, and a 24-hour LAN connects. Classrooms are held in Nalanda every day. Timings will be on average 5–6 hours a day which is very good for getting free time for a student in KP. More than that, the library is the largest in the city.
Faculty: In kgp, faculty are in a more friendly manner. I am very happy to be under these good professors. I learned very practical skills on the core side of my mechanical engineering department. I am having a very good procedure for grading; we have every subject have two class tests in one semester.

Hectic curriculum but nice campus vibes.
Placements: Almost 79 percentage of students get placed under mechanical engineering course in IIT Kharagpur. The highest CTC offered around 74 LPA as of 2022-23 states and minimum around 22 LPA. The average of the course is 19 LPA. Top recruiting companies include jaguar, etc.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering department of IIT Kharagpur is the largest in the country. Lecture halls are completely air conditioned. Free Wi-Fi is available to all the students registered under the erp portals of the college. Well-equipped labs are present. A centrally located library is there. Talking of the hostel, as it is the oldest IIT in the nation, major hostel infrastructures date back to 80s and 90s. Wi-Fi, library and store facilities are there in hostel but mess food average to adjustable.
Faculty: Talking of the teachers, what I felt is most them are well-equipped with several degrees in hand and a lot of knowledge but coming to scenario of conveying lectures many of them lack the skill. We prepare for exams mostly through online lectures. But in our department we have got some nice teachers as well who are so friendly and good at teaching. And the curriculum may be bit hectic but the way they arranged the exams is nice so that portions get covered on time and no need to worry on long term process of remembering things. Time flies in KGP.

Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: In our college, almost 81% of students are placed. The salary package offered is 15 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 2.64 crores per annum. Almost 15% of students received pre-placement offers. Nearly 75% of students are placed in core sectors. Top roles offered are in software development, business, and finance-related jobs. The salary package offered off-campus by Jane Street is 4 crores per annum.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels and academic buildings 24X7. Labs are well-equipped. The quality of the food is average. The central library is the biggest in Asia. Our classrooms are excellent.
Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. They solve our doubts. The course curriculum is updated with current market requirements. Semester exams are challenging. It requires daily practice for a more than 9.5 CGPA, but studying a week before exams can fetch more than a 7 CGPA.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
Placements: Most of the students in the mechanical department got placed. Many students went for higher studies. There were enough opportunities in core companies but most of the students prefer non-core jobs to get high salary packages. Around 95% of students got placed in our college. Top roles offered were SDE, consulting, product management, etc.
Infrastructure: It was one of the best colleges in the country. It had top-notch sports facilities. Canteen was available on the campus. Hostels were old but had all the facilities. The quality of mess food was good. Students would study in the library during exams.
Faculty: The course curriculum was outdated and needed to be revised. The mechanical course was a bit hectic due to more lab sessions. Professors didn't teach every concept clearly, so students studied from some books and the internet before exams. Previous years' papers and assignments helped students to prepare for exams.
Other: I chose this course as it was the best course in IIT Kharagpur according to my rank in JEE Advanced. Our college organises cultural, technical, and sports fests every year.
