It is the oldest IIT, but the administration is quite irresponsive.
Placements: About 90% of the students are placed in my course. Last year, the highest package offered was about 2 Crores per annum outside India, and the domestic package was about 48 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft etc. About 50% of students got internships in many MNCs like Facebook and Microsoft. The top role offered is a software developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is averagely good. The maximum speed of Wi-Fi is about 100 Mbps. The college has the largest library in Asia. The mess food is good to some extent. The faculty members are the most experienced ones and are very friendly to us. Lots of internal exposure is provided. I like the college very much.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful. They have in-depth knowledge of their subjects. The curriculum is vast and covers almost all the things required, and it makes the students industry-ready. Societies are available where you can explore yourself and make yourself ready for the circuital branch, even if you are not from the circuital branch.
Other: In IIT Kharagpur, a spring fest is the most enjoyable fest, and it is the most attractive. The fest lasts for 3 days, and we enjoy it a lot.

Really good placements, good infrastructure and facilities, very good faculty.
Placements: In my course there'll be just about 50 students per batch. Last year 62% of them got placed. The highest package offered was 39 Lacs per annum and the average was 20 Lacs per annum. So of the companies that recruited were Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Goldman Sachs, American express, Cohesity and Capital one. Around 75% of them got internships in companies like Amazon, Samsung, Oracle and some above mentioned placement companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for classes and labs is very good. Wi-Fi is excellent. Library is very large and almost every book is available. In hostels infrastructure is good. The food in hostels is not that great but we can adjust. There are lots of canteens and good medical facilities. We have a hospital called BC Roy. There are large playgrounds in hostels and outside hostels for sports and games.
Faculty: Almost every teacher here is student friendly. Everyone teaches very well and at a pace the students are comfortable with. There will be teaching assistants too. They are also very helpful in tutorials and labs. The course curriculum is relevant. Maths dominates Computing from third year. But it's not an issue.
Other: For my rank I wasn't able to get CSE in top 4 IITs. So I went for the best possible choice. You'll get a mentor who is a senior from your course. So you can him everything. The only thing is that this is a five year course. Other than that everything is very good. IIT Kharagpur is not in a city. So even if you go outside there won't be much. You have to travel for at least 2 hours to go to some nice places. But you'll have everything in campus. There is a Tech Market. There are so many restaurants inside the campus plus there are some good night canteens. There will be many events and fest like Spring Fest and Kshitij. There are so many ways to interact with other students like societies, associations, groups etc. For my course there is Inspire scholarship which pays 60,000 rupees per annum and an extra 20,000 if you do a project in summer. If you are from low earning family you can reduce your tuition fee.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
Placements: Placements in our college were pretty good last year. Around 1000 students got placed in 8 to 9 days of the placement process. The placement percentage was about 70% to 80%. The placement data is confidential, so the actual figure is not known. Most of the students don't attend placements as they want to pursue higher studies. The data about salary is not disclosed. The cost-to-company salaries can't be relied upon as the cash component is very different from CTCs. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, Samsung, American Express, etc., visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, etc., are very good. Medical facilities are not up to mark, but a multi-speciality hospital is under construction. Quality of food served in the canteen varies from a canteen to canteen, but it is better than the food served in the mess. Hostel rooms are pretty spacious, but there are a lot of bugs, insects and pests.
Faculty: Being an autonomous institute, it decides its course curriculum. Teachers often teach from study material of colleges like MIT, Stanford etc. Studying here makes you develop yourself, and you will be able to feel the difference in your personality.
Other: Social and cultural fest, spring fest, and techno-management fest named Kshitij are organised in our college.

Awesome, Fabulous, Amazing.
Placements: Depending on the courses, for instance, students in the Computer Science branch are almost always placed or opt for higher studies. Typically, about 70% of students secure placements during the session with good packages, and they also have access to excellent internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The campus is incredibly impressive, spanning around 2100 acres. It boasts a cricket stadium, running tracks, and more. The Technology Gymkhana offers additional academic activities to students, and the campus also houses a teach market that proves highly beneficial for students.
Faculty: Our college has renowned professors with exceptional qualifications and extensive knowledge. It offers the best curriculum tailored for industries, enabling us to enhance our skills in various fields. The semester exams effectively evaluate students' understanding in every subject topic.
