Our college is one of the best engineering colleges in India with good placements in 2014.
Placements: Around 56% of the students got placed from the course. The highest salary package offered from our course is 44 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 29 LPA. The average salary package offered was 25 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Google, Uber, Swiggy, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The top role offered here was of a software engineer for our course. The highest salary package offered in our course was 59 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course was 34 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course was 20 LPA. Around 45% of the students got internships in our course in Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our course are awesome and good. All the facilities such as canteen, food, extracurricular activities, computers, a huge library with thousands of books, labs and advance classrooms, are available here. The college provides a Wi-Fi facility. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is awesome. Thanks to IIT to provide a lot of facilities for students. The food served was very healthy. Medical facilities were advanced. Every year, they organise a huge sports event.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They taught us very clearly, and we liked at lot to attend their lectures. The course curriculum was relevant. It makes the students industry-ready for a bright future.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like computer engineering. I wanted to become a data engineer at Google. It would be better if it will be more advanced as it is now. Events were very advanced and great like the fest and rock nights. All were awesome here. Campus crowd was too high. Connectivity to the campus is very high. The campus was huge and advance. Scholarships were very high, but it was hard to get that. The college conducted a lot of extracurricular activities.

An interdisciplinary course offers the best placements if the student has little calibre.
Placements: This college is one of the best branches for maths and other CS departments, for students who are interested in computer science. The placements rate of our seniors was around 80%. It's almost 100% for our batch. The average salary package offered is around 13 LPA. Most of the students are recruited for software profiles. All companies that visit for core CS profiles also allow our branch in the selection process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The college provides classrooms, hostel, and medical facilities. The library is one of the largest in this country. Students will be provided with health insurance. There are 24x7 Wi-Fi and LAN facilities. There is a LAN connection in the room, and food served in the mess is okay.
Faculty: The course curriculum contains basic useful CS subjects like operating systems, data structures, etc. Students can also choose electives from other departments like machine learning, artificial intelligence from core CS branch. Courses were taught by maths department faculty as this course is under the maths department.
Other: Events like Spring festival, Kshitij as a tech-fest, and other fests are the best events conducted in the college. Connectivity to college is poor as it is located far from Kolkata city. The campus surroundings are not much good.

IIT kharagpur does't need any recognition in regard of anything. It's the best college to get into.
Placements: The placements in this particular course of IIT kgp is just mind blowing. Among 22 candidates who SAT for the placements 18 got placed in various companies. The highest salary offered in this course was 29 LPA and the lowest was around 6 LPA. Rest of the candidates are either applying for Ph.D. in maths department or already got in that. The credit for good placement in our batch has to be given to the career development cell (placement cell of IIT kgp). The whole placement season was so well organized that if you are good enough to take the challenge they will give you enough chances to get a break through in good companies.
Infrastructure: The campus of IIT kgp is one of the biggest in this country. The kind of labs we have for programming is more than sufficient for you to learn everything that's required. Sports, medical, library and other important needs are also great. The food quality of mess was not extraordinary however there are various places where you can have good food.
Faculty: Our course was much like a computer Science Masters course and less like mathematics Masters course despite being the mixture of both. The curriculum was full of important subjects that are very much required in this field. The faculty members are very helpful when it comes to the future of a student.
Other: Spring fest is the one of the most popular college festivals in India. Every year it attracts thousands of people from different colleges to participate and have fun in those three days of carnival.

No, a bachelors in science student can never apply for M.Tech in IIT or any other college because they take admission through GATE exam and B.Sc. students are not eligible to sit or appear for it.
