This is a central government college having negligible fees, great faculty and facilities.

Placements: Till the last year, we weren't getting any placements, but our new director seems to have an enthusiastic attitude towards placements. We have a placement cell now in IISER, Mohali. They are currently developing this cell and doing their best to provide placements to students.

The institute is well-developed.

Placements: The placements in the college are almost zero for integrated BS-MS course, but most of our seniors got good positions of PhD in renowned universities across the globe. Some students prefer to work as a research assistant in reputed labs. The number of placements was poor, and I don't have sufficient information about the placements.

The review of IISER Mohali.

Placements: IISER is an institution that offers courses on pure sciences only with not much emphasis on placements thus we have no placement cell. Outgoing students, however, find jobs for themselves, do PhDs or opt for MBA/civil service. The culture for research projects and internships is great her. The entire batch chooses to work in a lab/do a reading project in their home institution or elsewhere in the country. Students also go out of the country for summer projects and might get paid depending on the...

Absolutely satisfying college. Only the placement cell is not present which is not good. Knowledge.

Placements: Currently there is no placement cell in my college. No placements were alotted in the last graduated batch. But In IISER Pune there is a huge placement cell amd alot of companies come to visit campus and there are atleast 70% placements done last year. In my college IISER Mohali, there will be a placement cell opening in 1 year or so. IISER MOHALI and IISER PUNE are no different from each other, it's just IISER Pune was opened before IISER MOHALI.

IISER Mohali short review.

Placements: IISER Mohali does't provide any placement. No companies visit the college is the college does't work that way. All students generally go for the internships, the money they generally get is for travelling and staying in project place. Yes there is a placement cell, it is effective in terms of giving the information about internships and Ph.D. positions, but not about giving jobs to students.

Heaven of Science in India.

Placements: We generally do Ph.D. ( with package of around NET income 18 Lacs per year and higher) in foreign and in india. People go for software jobs but individually. Very recently a placement cell was established and few companies of India and US offered placement. Almost 90% students go for summer internship. Average stipend during the course is 5000 per month and those who are KVPY fellow get 7000 per month after 2nd year.

Good infrastructure, good facility and very good spirit of students to be future scientists.

Placements: We can become the scientists, some are doing jobs in companies, and few are preparing for the competitive exams. If anyone wants (he/she) to be a professor to teach future generations, the research field is the best scope for IISER. Physicist, chemist, biologist, computational, programmer, etc., are offered.

IISER is a great place for those who want to do research, and it is a better place for learning.

Placements: Placements in the private sector are very low. Only 1-2 companies have come for the placements of our senior batch, and only a few students have been selected. Most of the students go for Ph.D. abroad. They have gone into some prestigious institutes like MIT, Yale, Caltech, etc. among various disciplines. Few who have completed their PhDs have also joined IIT and other institutes as assistant professors.

One of the best educational research institute in India. It has one of the best infrastructures.

Placements: It's a research institute, so they will mainly focus on research and development purpose. After completing their MS programme, mostly student go abroad for their further studies and also join in different R & D programme of the government of India. For PhD who did in abroad, can get up to 1 lakh in Indian currency, and for R&D jobs, you can get up to Rs. 80,000 per month.

IISER Pune, a review on cutting edge research.

Placements: It's not an engineering college, it's a science college. You will get wonderful PhD after the BSMS course. IISC will be a granted thing. Many, however, opt for UD Universities. If you have a scientific temperament, then its a heavenly place for you.

Really good infrastructure.

Placements: The maximum number of students goes out for a doctorate in many fields. Many of the students became professors after clearing NET and after getting PhD degree. The placement is good, and 80% of the students were placed. Every PhD student, after clearing NET gets Rs. 25000 as scholarship. Every new PhD student gets Rs. 10000 as a scholarship. The PhD guides are very good.

An excellent opportunity is available here depending on how we utilize it at IISER, Mohali.

Placements: At IISER mostly students are not interested in getting placed. As an IISERITE, for me the placements don't matter much, I have a dream to pursue research in sciences. Same is also for the majority of my colleagues. Talking about placement, I can say we don't have that good placement opportunity on campus. But the people go abroad for PhD. At least 50% of the total students in a particular batch passes out, that too with a good government-funded scholarships.

Come to IISER if you love Science, even if you don't you will find what you love if you are here.

Placements: The college is justifying the cause of its set up as many of the students are going abroad and also into top class Indian institutes for carrying out their Ph.D. The placement cell here isn't very active, however recent efforts are being made to bring companies to the college. All students carry out an internship in their summers i.e., May-July. And if the student is getting the scholarship, the funding agency bears the travel and lodging expenses.

If you want to BA scientist, come here.

Placements: At present, I'm still studying in this college, and most of my seniors are doing their PhD in foreign countries. Some are at Max Plank, MIT etc. The course offered here is only useful for higher studies. If your aim is a job after the course, then IISER's is not for you. But, you can easily be a lecturer after the course and after writing the usual exams.

Let us know about IISER Mohali. One of the leading science institutes of the country.

Placements: As for now IISER Mohali does not have any proper placement cell. Here it is planned from next year onwards, and we might get a functional placement cell. Most of the students here opt for higher education like PhD or MBA. You can even apply for other government jobs like civil services.

The best institute for science education.

Placements: This is a science institute. If you are dedicated to science, then it is the best institute. If you do well, then you will have almost all the opportunity you can get after doing B.Tech. The placement is not like technical college, the companies visit, and they select an employee for their company. Here you have to do something different.

IISER - A new career for science loving students.

Placements: There are no placements provided by the institute. Most students go for PhD to become a professor or a scientist. Some of them go for various jobs in private and public sectors even though the aim of the course is not so. Students are also writing PSC exams.

I am satisfied with the institute.

Placements: We have the good placements in PhD. Although, the institute is trying hard to introduce a placement cell after the MS program. The placement abroad for PhD is good in the countries like Germany, France etc. Almost every student is selected either within the institute or outside the country.

A good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The placements offered here are pretty decent. Mostly, the students opt for a PhD after the integrated masters and bachelors program. However, there are certain companies which also come looking to hire some students. The salaries provided are not that well, but the scholarships are provided if you're doing a PhD.

Good infrastructure and facilities but lack of exposure towards industries.

Placements: The Institute established by MHRD, a government of India, is dedicated to basic science. So the placement ratio is less as most of the students prefer to go for higher studies like PhD. Around 65-75% students choose PhD as the further goal. After graduating from the Institute, students are doing PhD in American, German and French institutes.
