Very much satisfied with my college due to faculty, placements, college events, fests, and games.

Placements: Our college has an active training and placement cell. They conduct placement drives in many companies either famous or not, for different branches. According to our position in class, we can achieve placements in different companies with different salary structures.

A good college with responsible faculty members and well-equipped infrastructure.

Placements: The college provides good placements to students, especially in the software sector. The companies like TSC, Wipro, CTS is the mass recruiter in this college which offered good packages. Some of the companies also provide internship programme on their campus. During internships, students will also get a stipend.

A top class college for a good student.

Placements: The placement record of this college is very good. It is the third best engineering college in west Bengal. Last year companies like Siemens, Pinnacle, simplex, ravasco come to our company for placement. Also, this college is improving day by day. The percentage of total placed students is high in this college.

Kalyani Government Engineering College: a review.

Placements: The placement in the college although better than other government colleges under MAKAUT, it is still mostly dependent on mass recruiters like TCS, etc. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, the highest salary package ever for the college is 9 LPA secured by 4 students of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering streams of the batch 2014-2018 in HUL, off-campus of course. Many students go for GATE or CAT or WBCS, so you are guaranteed to get a very diverse alumni base. The stu...

This is the 2nd top government college.

Placements: The placement is not bad on the campus. Last year, TCS recruited 120 students, and Wipro, DXCorr, MN Dastur, Mahindra, etc., hired a lot of students, but for electrical engineering, mechanical engineering we have to focus on GATE examination to get a good job that's all, and the environment is awesome here.

The topmost government engineering college of West Bengal.

Placements: TCS has always been the mass recruiter in our college. In this dire state of the market, TCS has recruited some odd 110 students from all streams in B.Tech programme, while other reputed companies namely Kriti, Wipro, Sankalp, M.N Dastoor, Veda IT have also recruited few. The average salary offered by TCS was 3.5 LPA, while the maximum package of 5+LPA, that has been offered by Kriti. Overall, KGEC is a trusted college with regards to placements.

Overview of Kalyani government engineering college.

Placements: The placements were quite well, but not so good. Our seniors got jobs in TCS, IBM, HUL, Wipro and many more reputed companies. The minimum package offered to the freshman is 25000 per month. Many students got PSU jobs through the rank in the GATE examination.

It is a good college with good faculty members and good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements of our college are quite good. Most of the companies are software based companies like TCS, WIPRO, etc., but from last 2 years, companies like 'Sankalp Semiconductor', 'Tech Mahindra', 'Kreeti' etc., have placed a right amount of students. Here the statistics are, in the year 2015 TCS recruited 216 members, and the package offered is 3.35 LPA, Oracle recruited 1 member for 4.27LPA, Tech-Mahindra recruited 2 members 3.05LPA. MN Dastur recruited 2 members 4.25LPA, CapGemini recruite...

Journey of a wonderful life.

Placements: It is one of the best colleges in India, as it is a government college. There are best placements for IF, CSE, ECE, EE, MCA and few for ME. I got placed in TCS in the starting of my 7th semester. Along with me, there are 280 more students, who got placed in several MNC companies.

KGEC is a very good college.

Placements: The placements of our college are quite good when compared to other colleges which are governed by the state government. This year, we had a pool placement drives where the students were offered a package of 10 LPA which is a very good achievement for our college. Our TPO always tries to bring new companies.

High educational quality and infrastructure, but there is a lack of placements.

Placements: The placement record at KGEC is approximately 85%, while most of the core departmental student go with GATE and few with CAT. Majority of CSE, IT, ECE students get placed from campus placements. The highest package for the session 2017-18 was 9LPA by HindustanUnilever.

Kalyani Government Engineering College: A place to study and live.

Placements: I was placed in TCS with a package of 3.3 lakhs per annum. Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra and smaller electrical, mechanical core companies also come. In the last 3-4 years, the placements are good. M.Tech courses are also available here, and the same type of placement is also in M.Tech with a higher package.

Kalyani Government Engineering College, the 2nd best college of West Bengal

Placements: The placement of our college is quite good. 70-80% students of non-core branches got placed. TCS is the mass recruiter of our college and the average package offered is about 3.4 LPA. In the year 2017, students of mechanical engineering got the highest package of 9 LPA from Hindustan Unilever. One of our non-core students got placed in Wipro with a package of 3.4 LPA. The highest salary offered was 9 LPA and the lowest was 3.1 LPA. No opportunity for internships is provided by the college. In th...

A brief about Kalyani Government Engineering College

Placements: Quite average. Around 130 students got placed in TCS, and around 15 got placed in Wipro and Tech Mahindra. 5 got placed in DDT, 1 in Kreeti Solutions and other few companies. For internships, you have to go for them on your own. So overall, it is quite average but with a hope that it will improve day by day as it is a government college.

I feel proud of being a KGECian, lucky enough to study here!

Placements: Placement in KGEC is decent enough. Almost everyone gets placed but some problems remain for mechanical and electrical students who look only for core companies! The average CTC is around 3.5 LPA. Regarding internship, everyone does it in respectable companies but mostly without stipend.

KGEC - My college - 2nd home from 2012-2016.

Placements: I am presently working with TCS as I got placed through the on-campus drive. Placement for IT/CS guys are quite okay but not highly appreciable and for core guys, it's quite poor I can say. As it is one of the best government engineering colleges of West Bengal, expectations should be higher but that is not being met. The government must pay attention and must look after this things.

Good placement, infrastructure, faculty.

Placements: For our batch, almost 90% students of information technology department got placed before the final semester. Every year, various IT companies visit our college for recruitment like TCS, Ericsson, Capgemini, etc For 2015 batch, TCS recruited 177 people out of 250 who appeared for the interview for TCS.

Our college has everything. Good faculty, good placements, very good infrastructure.

Placements: The placement of our college is very good. Every year, approximately every student got placed in a different company. We have a very nice and attractive placement record. Last year, Adobe visited our college. Besides Adobe, many other companies like TCS, Wipro, M.N. Dastur, Oracle, etc also visited our college every year to recruit our students.

Top govt college under WBUT & West Bengal government. Placements: medium/good- varies year to year.

Placements: TCS is a company that takes around 200 students from different batches every year except 2017 batch. In 2017, they took only 120 students from B.Tech (IT, CSE, mech, ECE). Therefore other pool campus placements are arranged for companies like Wipro, Ericsson, IBM, etc. You must maintain at least 60% in both 12th and throughout the diploma/degree and CGPA above 6.75 for placement in TCS. As a government college, the rating of KGEC in placement is good (3.5/5) but not excellent as Jadavpur Unive...

Very good placement in 2016.

Placements: The placement record is very good. Every year 70-80% students get a job. Many companies come to our college. TCS is one of them. Students mainly get the role of assistant system engineer trainee. The average salary offered by the companies is around 3.3-3.6 lakhs per annum. Mainly TCS, Capgemini, Ericsson, MN Dastur come to our college for campus recruitment. Among them, most of the students are recruited by TCS.
