About Kalyani Govt. Engineering College.

Placements: TCS, Wipro, Ddt, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, IBM, Ericsson, Kreeti Technology etc. recruit from our college. Overall placement in CSE department is good. Though providing almost 90–95% placements in CS, ECE or IT, average packages aren't so jaw-dropping, and also core placements are pathetic, which is really demotivating sometimes and unattractive to a portion of JEE aspirants.

Absolutely excellent because of its infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The placement of my batch and my previous batches are quite good actually. Especially in software depts, they are excellent. There are many companies for placement like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Ericsson. Also companies like Sankalp Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd, Invecas, Innofied Solutions, MakersLoft and few more. In our dept. there are companies like Bengal Beverage (connected with Coca-Cola bottle production), Godrej Pvt. Ltd. (salesman job offered), TCS etc. This year also Adobe is coming in our col...

KGEC has a good infrastructure and is an established government college in east India.

Placements: It's a government engineering college placed in Kalyani, 50 km from Kolkata. The placement record for a few years for the core department is not good. The top 20 students of the mechanical department should be able to sit for good companies and the average salary is 3-4 LPA. Other departments' students and the rest of the students are able to sit for campus recruitments in IT companies. Students get internships at various IITs and NITs.

Satisfied with faculty very much, but there are placement issues for core engineers.

Placements: 1. Placement is decent, but for electrical engineers, never hope for too many core companies coming. Most of the companies which will come will be IT companies. 2. Most of the students will be placed. Around 80%. 3. The college's highest salary was offered by DDT, around 5 LPA. Lowest salary offered is 3 LPA. 4. The companies which visited the campus are TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, DDT, ORACLE, CAPGEMINI, M.N.DASTUR etc. 5. The students are generally offered the assistant systems engineer post. 6. The...

The fee structure was very low which can be affordable by anyone. The environment was very nice, calm. Besides education there were various sports events, cultural and technical fest take place every year.

This is a Govt. engineering college, located at Kalyani, West Bengal. It is the best engineering college under WBUT (MAKAUT). Almost everyone from this college bags a job in his hand. The students and the teachers maintain a healthy relationship between them. Also, laboratory infrastructures are good enough. There are lots of playgrounds in the campus, and also a lot of cultural programmes take place. So, it is also an ideal place to nurture the hidden talents.

Kalyani Government Engineering College has been ranked 5 in West Bengal with IIT KGP in the first position followed by JU, IIEST and NIT DGP. The college is under WBUT. The campus is quite big enough. KGEC is the 2nd preferred college by the students passing the WBJEE and has an opening rank around 600 on average for the 5 degrees offered. It’s a government college with too less fees and good campus. And the level of education is moderate and almost 75% student from all streams gets job. Job facility is best for CSE. Its ranking is also very good. I recommend people needing job to come to this college.

Classes are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Although surprise tests are not very common but students try and stay as up-to-date as possible in subjects such as Finance and Economics where you won't know when your knowledge is put to test. Students are not given any handouts as such but most of the teachers share their presentations with ...

It is the best college in west Bengal. A healthy natural place for study, but the communication system is very costly to the place. The faculty is very good and so are the placements. It has hi tech laboratories and also a big library. I love my college and I am proud of it.

From 2018 to 2023 we saw a good placement level.

Placements: 99% of students were placed in our college recently. Our average LPA is around 15 to 16. Next is the lowest, like 5 to 10, and the highest around 25 to 30 LPA. Many types of companies come to our college for hiring students (TCS, Cognizant, etc.). Almost 30% of students got internships in the second year, and in their final year, almost everybody got an internship.
