It has great academics and a vibrant campus.
Placements: The placement rate of the college is about 85-90%. The highest salary package offered ranges from 15-20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 2.5-3 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 4 -5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Qualcomm, Bosch, and Amazon visit the college to hire students from our course. About 60-70% of students got internships in companies like Bosch, TCS, and startups. Top roles like developer, embedded engineer, and system analyst are offered to students.
Infrastructure: Facilities for the ECE department are modern labs like VLSI, IoT, embedded systems, well-equipped classrooms, 24x7 Wi-Fi, and a vast library with updated resources. Hostel have comfortable rooms, good hygiene, and a study-friendly ambiance. Mess and canteen serves decent food quality with varieties. The canteen offers snacks and beverages. There is an on-campus clinic with basic medical services. There are excellent facilities for indoor and outdoor games, a gym, and regular sports events.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, ensuring quality teaching. The course curriculum is industry-relevant, blending theory and practical skills to prepare students for careers. Exams are moderately challenging, with a high pass percentage due to strong academic support.
Other: I chose ECE for its versatility and opportunities in IoT, AI, and telecom. The best aspects are practical labs, industry exposure, and knowledgeable faculty members. Improvements could include more electives and hands-on training. KCT offers vibrant fests, a diverse crowd, great connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

A quick look into Kumaraguru College of Technology.
Placements: The college provides placement training for students from the sixth semester onwards. Overall, over 90% of the students get placed every year. The highest package offered was above 40 LPA, and the lowest package was 2.4 LPA. Internships are also provided by many top reputed companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good, and the mess in our college provides only vegetarian food. There are separate hostel blocks for students from every year. Facilities such as a gym, canteen inside the hostel, and a badminton court are available within the hostel campus.
Faculty: The teaching method in our college is very practical-oriented and is called Problem-based Learning, in which students are asked to take a problem statement and try to solve it from the first year onwards. The faculty members teach well, and semester exams are not too difficult if we attend all the classes without fail.
Other: The college is well-known for its sports performance and also provides the best infrastructure for sports.

A closer look into Kumaraguru.
Placements: The placements in the current batch were reduced when compared to the previous year's placement statistics, but the college still maintained a good percentage of placements this year. The college has promised to offer a 50 LPA package to the students. Many students got internships at top MNC's and core companies.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very spacious and good. Each department has all the centre of excellence labs provided by many companies, such as Siemens, Yokogawa, and Fluke Calibration labs. Hostels provided are well and good, There are two type of hostels: one is the regular one and the other is called Hive, which located outside the campus. The rooms are provided with AC, Wi-Fi, etc.
Faculty: 1. There are two internal exams and one model examination before the end-of-semester exam and laboratory. 2. The semester exams are not as difficult; they are easy to pass and get good grades. 3. The faculty members are very helpful and the lab sessions are very useful to learn things when it comes to core departments.
Other: It is a big campus with 156 acres of total land and 20 acres of playground alone.

Exploring academic horizons: A comprehensive review of Kumaraguru technology.
Placements: The placements in the current year 2020-2024 will not much as in the previous year. But still the students who are skilled get and grab the placements in this year. The College offers more packages when compared to the previous years. They promised to bring 50 LPA from the Next academic year.
Infrastructure: There are 6 blocks of hostel for boys and each separate hostels for women. The maintenance of hostel was very good and there are many facilities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, study halls, playground inside the block in men's hostel. The outpass procedure for men's hostel was very simple online process. Note:For 1st years, only weekend outing allowed.
Faculty: The course curriculum was very good, as it is an autonomous institution they hold their own planned curriculum syllabus. The faculty members also very to their students and some of the faculty members are available even after college working hours. Exams are based on the applications oriented.
Other: There are many food corners or canteens available in many corners in the college.

College life is outstanding but lab facilities can be improved. Overall a good college.
Placements: For our batch, recession made it difficult for students to get placed. Average package of students for CS background was approximately 7-9lpa. From ECE department this year, fewer core companies have hire students. Software roles are more required for this year.
Infrastructure: Labs are extremely old with broken and damaged instruments. Library provides all the facilities to students with internet facility. Hostel is clean with hygienic food. Classrooms are also having old furniture. But the campus provides great beauty to the visitors.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Course structure is affiliated to anna university and thus is upto the mark for students to follow. Semester exams are not that difficult and exact questions are asked as taught in classroom. Students can easily score and maintain a good CGPA in KCT.
