Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

College Tour to the PCE!
Placements: Hi, I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student. My batch is the last university batch of the college; now our college is autonomous. The college is private and doesn’t have a high cutoff percentage, so anyone can easily take admission. The college has good placements, with students getting average packages of 6-7 LPA, and around 40-50 different companies came for recruitment. As a Mechanical Engineering student, I have a lot of opportunities in various fields.
Infrastructure: Our college has the biggest campus in the city, with separate buildings for each department. All laboratories have new equipment, and each department has its own library, along with a central library that is also available in college. There is 24 hours of free Wi-Fi and nicely organized classrooms with projectors. Hostels are also available from the college, with good accommodation facilities, and there are many PG rooms available in the college area.
Faculty: The college has great faculty with a lot of knowledge and experience, and they are very helpful. My department has the most experienced faculty. The Mechanical department prepares you for industrial work, office work, and everything you need to be ready for your career.
Other: Mechanical is a core branch, which is the reason I chose this course. The Mechanical branch is very flexible; you can go into any field after it. The college just needs to improve some uniform designs and college timings. Aside from that, the college is good in every aspect. Our department has a club named MESA. Our biggest college fest is ASHWAMEDH, which we celebrate at the end of the year. It includes different sports, games, and competitions. Every department has good coordination between them, and the campus has the best environment, feeling relaxing and stress-free. Our administration team is also helpful with all scholarship problems, exam form issues, and everything. That's all.

Good facilities and college infrastructure.
Placements: So about 50% of students get placed in mechanical engineering since mechanical engineering is a core branch and placements are low and not very focused. Many roles offered to our branch is mechanical engineer, site manager, etc. Internships in mechanical engineering are not guaranteed. Packages offered to our students are between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in every corner of our college, which we can access by using a given ID and password. Libraries are also available in every department with full-stock books in them. There are also three canteens available for students and staff at our college. Food is acceptable. Ground is also provided by the college without sports materials.
Faculty: Teachers are the best. Teachers provide us with many study-related materials during our exams, which helps us a lot during our final examination. Colleges take exams in parts. Two tests on half the syllabus and an exam on the whole syllabus are conducted, which also helps us pass the university exam since our college is not autonomous.
Other: Events are amazing; we enjoy a lot of them, but colleges should also focus on core branch placements.

The college is good and the campus is huge.
Placements: In our class, there are around 90 students, and there are three batches, so all together, there are 270 students in my final year, and only 20 to 30 students were placed during a recruitment drive, and the placed students were not placed in a core branch; some were placed in a non-technical field, some were placed in an IT industry, and a few were placed in a core branch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our mechanical building is good, and all the labs and the computer labs are working with the preferred instruments for the practical. The hostel is not inside the campus; it is outside the campus, and the hostel is somewhat good.
Faculty: The faculty is good for our course, and one main thing about our teachers is that they are very supportive towards the students. The curriculum for our course is not given by our college because our college is not an autonomous college; it goes under the Nagpur University, and the exam is also held by the Nagpur University.
Other: The best thing about our college is that there is a lot of competition during break time, all the people are friendly, and some of the students are so enthusiastic about the sport. You can find anyone at anytime on the basketball court.

It is a good place for research and knowledge gathering.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit our campus.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not up to the mark as per the fee charged by the college. The hostel has a good infrastructure but they are unable to provide daily cleaning services in the hostel rooms and grounds.
Faculty: Our teachers are supportive. They help students in many possible ways. They are always ready for any hurdles caused by students. Non-teaching staff members are very knowledgeable. They have a good sort of knowledge with them, which they always share with students. They help students a lot. All teachers are supportive and helpful in any circumstance and in any subject.

Our college is an emerging college and has a very good campus.
Placements: In our college, almost 20–30% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was by Byjus at 7 LPA in the year 2019, and the average salary package offered was 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Mahindra and Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Byjus, and so on.
Infrastructure: Every kind of facility was available in the department like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms with projectors and smart boards, a huge central library with all kinds of books and journals, and sports facilities were also good. The quality of food in the canteen and mess was average. Many varieties of fast food were available.
Faculty: Faculty members were very knowledgeable and had around 15-20 years of experience in their fields. Some faculty members were Ph.D. holders, and a few were pursuing their Ph.D.s. The course curriculum was old and had not been updated for many years. Semester-end exams were easy to pass if you had gone through all the notes and materials provided by faculty members.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and curiosity. They organised events and fests that were very good, and the crowd was very energetic.
