Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Apart from this, placement is not that good and many companies have just not completed their processes, and many of them are sales companies.

Dissatisfied with the college, with the teachers, environment, everyday someone came from outside.
Placements: About 30 percent got placed, but the percentage is getting low. If there are 300 students sitting for an interview, only 10 to 20 percent of them get placed, and the others do not. No student got an internship. In the name of internship, they call us in the summers and teach us subjects only, which are of no use. If we don't attend, they fail us in the internship. They say it is compulsory for all to attend, like you guys are not providing, but if someone got one by his or her side, they don’t allow them to go. They say we don't know all this; you have to attend yours (which is of no use), and if not, they fail students in the internship. They take it as a course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available; they provide only 35 MB for use. You can't use Wi-Fi in college. In the lab, you can use it but sometimes only by Ethernet. But if you are doing something on your phone, you can't use it. Hostel quality is not that good, average hostel.
Faculty: Some are helpful, but most of them are not. They don't even focus on completing the syllabus, do not even provide study material, take holidays, not teach properly, and if students are not attending their classes, they fail them. They make the paper very hard and say, "Ab pass hoke dikhao."
Other: I chose this course because they created hype that our placements are very good. Once in the whole life, they placed a student with a 1 crore package, and that student is also off-campus. They say that we have to do this and all, but after that, the package they are providing is around 2-3 Lakh, and with this package, they can place only 20-30 percent of students.

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior real scenario.
Placements: This year, the placement opportunities at our college have been great. Good companies from various sectors come to our campus, including Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, and others. In addition, we have good incoming companies for core branches as well.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms and facilities are pretty decent, but the mess food is a bit of an issue. However, it's alright because we get good facilities in sports. We have a great football field, a full-size cricket ground, two badminton courts, table tennis tables, and so on.
Faculty: The faculty here is pretty amazing. They come from great institutes and have a great command over their subject. The course and curriculum are also pretty well designed to make us well-equipped for the needs of the upcoming generation.

Brief information about MITS, Gwalior.
Placements: I am from the 2020–24 batch. During my time, there were not many companies that visited and fewer offers were made. Some of the good companies that visited for CSE were Kloudspot, Accenture and Newgen. Also, Tejas Network conducted a common test in Bhopal, where many colleges were there for the process and from our college, 2 students got selected at 10 LPA. Apart from this, placement is not that good and many companies have just not completed their processes, and many of them are sales companies.
Infrastructure: I am not from a hostel, as I am a day scholar. But in MITS, the boys hostels are provided only for the first year and from the second year onwards, they have to accommodate themselves outside the college. Apart from this, the course work was decent; as for CSE, most of the core subjects were completed until the 2nd year.
Faculty: The teachers here are really very helpful. I was preparing for GATE and all the teachers here are very kind and knowledgeable. The curriculum is decent and if someone does the work regularly, it's not very hectic. At the same time, exams are also decent and one can score a good CGPA by doing their work regularly.
Other: If you want to prepare for any exam like GATE, CAT, etc., then it's a good college, as faculty members are very supportive here. I don't recommend this college for getting good internships and placements.

Absolutely satisfied because discipline follow in this college
Placements: Overall good placement if students have potential then they can take campus placement easily but for that they must have potential. There are so many companies, they only place those students who have skills, talent and knowledge. If students have these qualities they can easily get the campus placement
Infrastructure: Overall good , my course infrastructure is really good as we have seminar halls, classes and different labs where we all study. Also hostel infrastructure is also really good as they take care of cleanliness and hygiene in the food. Also bathroom of the hostel are also cleaned.
Faculty: Overall good , faculty are really impressive. They are very helpful for us, also they teach us very well and curriculum of our college is best as there is no indiscipline things happening as there are punishment for those students who does these indiscipline . Exams are also conducted very well.
Other: I chose this course because of scope. There are so many scopes in this course. There are so many event happening in our college. They include seminars webinar and traditional events.

Emerging college of Madhya Pradesh (MITS, Gwalior).
Placements: Placements are pretty decent, to be honest. The average package is 5.5 lacs, with the highest being 26 lacs on campus in 2024, while placements are ongoing. Some students also went for off-campus placements and have done a great job. I expect that the college will grow in upcoming years as it has become a deemed university, and chances are that the counseling will shift from MPDTE to JoSAA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are the stronghold of MITS, Gwalior. A big library, cricket and football grounds, badminton, volleyball, and basketball courts: most of the famous sports are present. Classrooms are also large, with new furniture and AC in the classes. Well-equipped labs for every branch. Hostels have great infrastructure too; each room has a separate study room in it. There is also a table tennis table in the hostel.
Faculty: All teachers and professors are well-educated and have good experience, but some teachers are too strict and try to demean students. The curriculum for your course is one of the plus points, as it has new subjects that are related to computer science. We don't have to study the syllabus of every branch. Semester exams have a percentile score system, making it easy to score.
